Wifi did not work, which is nowadays annoying when you want to plan for your stay and choose activities while you are in the hotel. Lights did no turn on, had to go to the reception. Room design is very basic, breakfast is average. The only interest of this hotel is its location, so better just plan to sleep there.
This place is okay . The one thing that really annoyed me was, they forgot to leave a remote control for the air conditioner in my room so I had to go back down to the lobby to get a remote. The staff was very friendly and helpful they also spoke English very well. The breakfast buffet was pretty good but the eggs were cold. The location is great with many attractions within walking distance.
good location, large rooms, helpful friendly staff. the breakfast is so-so decent for argentina - not just sweets, also a fair amount of fruit, as well as some ham and cheese. they also referred me to take a bike tour which was quite good.
I recently traveled to Buenos Aires for a business trip and enjoyed my stay at Dazzler San Telmo very much. The location is great and the room was modern and clean. Despite my limited Spanish, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They even went to additional length to help me ship my suit jacket internationally when I accidentally left in in the hotel room when I left. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I had a decent experience with this hotel. The staff were friendly when I was there, helped me with figuring out a way to get to their hotel, and also with my departure arrangements. The rooms are fairly large, and I stayed there with a roommate during our visit. The Wifi is rather spotty in the rooms but they work well in the lobby and breakfast area. The location is okay, and quiet. I ended up walking to the other side of town to get into the local action, but I really don't mind this location. Plus Intercontinental is across the street and they have a decent bar that opens late if you're desperate.
We found this hotel across the street from The Intercontinental. The hotel is located in downtown area. Its in walking distance from a lot of shops. The room was big with a leather couch and cleanish. However, the staff was not very friendly, not rude at all, but just indifferent. The staff needs a little training on customer service, being friendlier and welcoming.
Arrived at the hotel approx 8:30am after an overnight flight from London. Delighted to be able to check-in early at no extra cost as a room was available- so off to a great start...so we thought! Had decided to use the first day relaxing in the sun, before the sightseeing began, however, the rooftop pool and terrace that was advertised on Expedia website when booking (so not necessarily hotels fault) was not open, and hadn't been for 2 years according to reception!! The supposed rooftop pool played a major part in our decision making process in booking this specific hotel, so as you can imagine - very disappointed. The staff weren't really bothered, and after wasting time trying to get them to move us to one of the other Dazzler hotels in the city/ trying to call Expedia we gave up. The location was just OK -a bit dingy and rundown but easy walking distance to hop-on hop-off bus stop & Avda Julio. Although on an evening felt a bit dodgy. We found much nicer areas of Buenos Aires we would prefer to stay in such as Puerto Madero, Palermo & Recoleta. The room itself was nicely decorated, large with a good bed and lounge/sofa area too. The breakfast was very basic continental, but better than nothing.
Only stayed here one night as part of GAdventures trip and was the best hotel of all. The staff were friendly, the rooms large anad very comfortable. Wifi was excellent and they kept our bags for a few days for us whilst we went to Uruguay. As others mentiones, they don't have adaptors so take one with you. Didn't experience the breakfast properly as we had to leave very early the next morning. Would stay again if in BA
The rooms are good, clean and a good location. The reason we have given this 5 stars is due to the level of service provided by the desk men (who I think are called Chris and Gonzalo) who were fantastic. The airport lost our baggage and when we explained this to them they assisted us by regularly calling the Airline for us and helping us, even lending us an umbrella. An act of kindness that was greatly appreciated. Thank you for all your help. Only improvement for this property would be that the breakfast could be better. Thanks again!!
Dazzler San Telmo was the base and starting hotel for my solo trip across South America. On arrival, my room was ready and was great! Big, spacious with a tv, fridge and great bathroom facilities. Bed was comfy and the hotel was lovely and quiet at night despite it being very close to the main street (3 blocks away). Recommend and would stay here again!
