Hotel City Inn

Hotel is located a little way from the city centre, however it had great transport links with a Metro station nearby. Great location to sample bars and restaurants frequented by the locals. The hotel was very clean and very quiet, and we will definately stay again if we visit Budapest again.

Reception staff were super friendly and helpful - Couldn't fault them... The room was a little odd bath was in the bedroom and the shower my husband described as a 'Peep show!'. Room was clean. Location not ideal. Breakfast was pretty terrible.... the 'restaurant' smelt pretty bad every time we visited for Breakfast.

Very good location and service at the city center near near corvin metro station .The furniture of the rooms is very elegant and nice modern style and the breakfast was very nice with a big variety and prices are fair and reasonable compared to 4 stars hotels it is not expensive

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Secret Escapes package and quite honestly we loved it. The room was very clean and more than enough room for myself and my husband. The metro was only a short walk on the next street and took us everywhere we needed to go/see. The public transport is very efficient and we were able to see all the sights we had planned on seeing during the three days we were there. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. My overall impression is... on a short City break we would definitely stay here again. If I had paid for a five star hotel then yes I may have had a complaint or two... but we were happy with the hotel and the service. Thank you

This is a budget hotel on the outskirts of Budapest. This was part of a secret escapes package. I probably would have shopped around for something a bit more Central in hindsight as it was a decent tram ride or metro from any major sites. Rooms were unbearably hot. Had to sleep with the window open which then quickly made the room freezing cold as it was minus 10! Breakfast was very average. Staff were helpful.

You get what you pay for. Some small moans, like the coffee not being replaced and having a bath in the bedroom. One very good point, the beer and spirits are very reasonably priced at the hotel bar. Its central and only a 20 minute walk from all the fun.

Spent 3 nights here as part as a BA deal in their sale. The hotel was adequate for a short break but I would agree with others, it is more of a 3 star than 4. We booked a superior room which was clean and in good condition. Only complaint is our beds were against the curtains without a headboard so not comfortable for watching tv, reading etc. The hallway outside our room was also being used for storage so not very welcoming. On the positive it was next door to a large shopping mall and the staff were pleasant. If I was to visit again I think I would prefer somewhere closer to the river.

Next door to a shopping mall, good breakfast with plenty of choices, staff very helpful arranged a great evening boat cruise with meal. Staff very knowledgeable about the town and able to give plenty of information on the local transport, which Metro or Tram to catch to visit places of interest.

Reasonably clean, friendly and helpful staff and adequate breakfast in this hotel. One thing that is definite, is that by no means the City Inn merits a four star. Breakfast items, repeatedly replenished, room seemed to be cleaned daily, during our three nights' stay. Massive plus were the existence of a safe in the room, tea and coffee making facility, a fridge, and a 'Buddy'. We thought this buddy could be helpful for most people, we were adequately equipped for what we wished to do in Budapest. We purchased a sightseeing hop on hop off ticket together with a boat trip of the Danube, at the hotel, though the latter would be much better during warmer seasons. Hotel was quiet enough until about 5:25 in the morning of Thursday during our stay, when the refuse collectors were working (our room faced the street), so our sleep was disturbed at that early time. Perhaps a room away from the street would have been better. I would not be staying at this hotel again, should I ever return to this destination.

Good hotel for the price Clean, comfortable, modern . fantastic breakfast with helpful staff Mini bar is cheap and well stocked everything you need in the room You can buy the hop on bus tickets and the baths from the hotel reception 20/30mins walk from the centre of pest(taxi are cheap and plentiful) Would recommend the hotel for short breaks
