Large room , very clean very friendly staff, good breakfast. Shopping centre next door and metro station a short walk away. very comfortable beds, shower toilet and separate large bath ..Could have used an extra towel change .
Stayed here for 3 nights 4 days arrived about 11 O'Clock were welcomed by the reception staff who were very helpful and friendly , went up to the room which was modern and clean with a small on suite bathroom which was very clean, there were tea and coffee making facilities , there was a bar in the reception area but no restaurant at night time but if you turn left out of the door there is a lovely area with restaurants and a shopping center also an Aldi shop, Back to the hotel the breakfast was continental but fine always found something to eat the end quite enjoyed it.
My friend & I stayed here for 4 nights and it was fantastic. Our room was cleaned every day, refreshments re-stocked ( tea/coffee/milk etc.) The beds were firm but not overly so and the room itself was very pleasant looking. There were also some lovely complimentary toiletries in the bathroom and hot showers every day with no problems. Breakfast was very good providing an array of different types of food both hot and cold and replenished regularly. The coffee was amazing and you could see the coffee beans about to be ground producing great depth of flavour. Also an assortment of fresh fruit juices which were delicious.Couldn't fault it. The staff I would give a 5 star rating , they were so helpful and knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble. They so impressed us with their willingness to help and cheerful disposition. It was a pleasure to be a guest here ! Finally ..it's in a great location next to a lovely plaza with coffee shops and some great restaurants of which we tried nearly all of them bar the curry one which never seemed to have any customers in.We ate really well and the alcohol was also about 50% cheaper than in the UK as was the food. There is a real vibe about the place , modern and stylish incorporating all age groups - we just loved it ! I would definitely recommend this hotel for value and quality of service . Well done City Inn , you made our stay very enjoyable...Thank you..
Stayed at this hotel for 4nights, staff very helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit. Breakfast is continental but adequate, bedrooms were comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities. Near the hotel is a shopping mall and places to eat.
Again, this hotel was very modern and had a feeling of home to it. It did appear at times that housekeeping slipped up on some minor details i.e. the curtains in our room were not washed and had some stains on them which I will not endeavour to determine what it comprised of, on the first morning we didn't get clean cups and teaspoons for the coffee facilities in the room. Other than that the room was very clean, most importantly the bedding, carpets and bathroom. Every morning the room was tidied and presentable upon our return. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. A variety of tours including boat trips on the Danube river can be booked at the hotel and paid for at the hotel for convenience. I would recommend that one considers a boat trip especially for couples I will recommend a dinner and boat cruise which is about 2 hours and the city looks absolutely beautiful at night. The main attractions are well lit at night and creates a beautiful ambience for getting to know each other with a drink on the deck. We had a lady in a wheelchair in our group and on the 4th of May 2018 her wheelchair broke whilst touring the city. This happened after all stores that could assist had closed and would only open on Monday. Later the evening when we arrived at the hotel we request the concierge to assist. Within 20 minutes he contacted a facility that would deliver a new wheelchair to the hotel for hire or purchase including determining the requisite prices for each option. We coildn't get his name but his assistance was 5 stars for sure. This is the heldfulness we experienced throughout our stay. Staff were knowledgeable about the trips you can book and were quite knowledgeable about any tourist queries. Once again this was another hotel with an excellent breakfast crucial to a balanced diet. The perfect start to the day with a wonderful buffet spread of fresh bakes, proteins, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses and even salmon mousse! No food tray was ever empty for more than a minute. The facility like all the other hotels I reviewed are wheelchair/disability friendly and have disabled restrooms on the ground floor. One small footnote would be that a key card is needed to activate the electricity in the room. You only get one, so you cannot leave the room whilst another person remains there without having to depend on that person in the room to open the door once you return or leaving them in total darkness. Despite all of this the hotel has a great location close to one of the biggest shopping centres, Corvin Plaza and close to what we later referred to as the "party street", Királyi Pál u street. This street has a variety of bars, pubs, takeaways and restaurants. The hotel has WiFi, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and tea and coffee facilties in the rooms. Definitely a consideration for my next trip to Budapest.
I stayed at this hotel 4 nights and I can't recommend more. The staff is very friendly. Close from the city center and the price was also very good. The breakfast has various types of food to choose and the coffee is good.
Brownish, hotel in normal Hungary style. Friendly, small space rooms, and toilet/shower. Ventilation?? Fridge broken, got a new in 5 minutes. Various and good breakfast, missed dark bread. Close to very good shopping, and walking street, square with many cafes. A cross busy street, lovely small sportspub. Rengeteg Winnie the Pub café by entrance of exiting Ertekelve ruinpub. Fine walking street. Close to city center. Good public transport, and all free for seniors. Tram 2 by the river, 4-6 across center to castle hill. M1 old and great.
Very friendly and helpful staff in the City Inn. Would recommend staying here to anyone. Good choice of eating places nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Budapest and would recommend the Hop On Hop Off bus system.
Hotel is located a little way from the city centre, however it had great transport links with a Metro station nearby. Great location to sample bars and restaurants frequented by the locals. The hotel was very clean and very quiet, and we will definately stay again if we visit Budapest again.
Reception staff were super friendly and helpful - Couldn't fault them... The room was a little odd bath was in the bedroom and the shower my husband described as a 'Peep show!'. Room was clean. Location not ideal. Breakfast was pretty terrible.... the 'restaurant' smelt pretty bad every time we visited for Breakfast.
