We expected a lot less considering the price. It was amazing! Clean big room with a comfortable bed, near to the city center, pleasant receptionist and on the top- a great breakfast. Plus it is really cheap. Perfect for a weekend stay.
I was in few 4* hotels and I think even if it is officially a 4* hotel, it does not look as one fo them. I see there few problems: - cleaning of rooms and premises is imperfect - breakfast is simple, aiming for quantity rather on quality/variety - doors do not have mechanism which would close them "softly". I was awaken every night due to the fact somebody in different room was leaving and closing of doors was so loud.. - it seemed to me that hotel is understaffed - surroundings of the hotel are not nice good was: - position of the hotel, near metro station - 24/7 reception - garden has potential to be nice and cozy place, but it is not used - AC in every room
Great Hotel! The rooms are huge , comfortable and very clean. The Hotel is near the underground metro and you can access the center of town in 15 minutes. Staff kind and professional , Thank you very Much !!
We choose this hotel because it is close to Papp Laszlo Arena as we went to a concert there. The reception is nice and friendly, but the room was terrible. The door didn't cloose completly, the carpet was dirty. Furniture handle broken, wardrobe was dirty inside. The bed pillows are hard. Breakfast is varied but poor quality and coffee some of the worst I've had.
This time I am unfortunately going to talk you about a terrible place: Green Hotel in Budapest. The place has a good location (near metro and the new football Stadium Ferenc Puskas)....However, this is the only good thing about the place. We suffer in one night several problems: 1) The cleanliness was simply terrible: The room wasn't clean and foremost the service didn't clean the WC in our room (the toilet and the shower were not clean on the day). Also, the towels were not clean (this was quite obvious) and this made us sick and mistrust the conditions of the bed linen too. 2) Second, the air conditioning didn't work, but what's worst was that it wasn't even connected to the power (we could see the machine but without any wire system). 3) Terrible customer service: The person on reception was nice and tried to help us, but we never found any solution to our multiple problems. When we explained the situation to the guy on reception we were told that room change was not an option because the hotel was full (kinda surprising!)...and he never proposed to clean the room (something that should be in the customer service support toolkit of any 4* hotel). I cannot talk about the breakfast because, after our terrible experience, we decided not to risk our own safety by trying the food.
Checkin was terrible, rooms were not prepared on time (checkin is on 16:00), women on reception was without any information (Our dialog: "Your room is not ready."; "Ok, when it will be ready?"; "I don't know...") Room could be cleaner. One lamp was not working, etc. Nothing catastrophic, but you would expect better quality for 4-stars hotel. Breakfast was really poor. On 8:00 almost everything was empty - some food was added later, when we were leaving. Hotel has good position, if you want to attend Laslo Papp arena.
Horrible hotel. In terms of cleanness it made me almost vomit, they don't clean the wc of the room. The toilet wasn't clean on the day i checked in and was the same when I check out. Also there was some hair on the tub. I warned about this in the reception, they went in the room to take some pictures and said that would clean the next day. Didn't happen. They just go in the room and make the beds. That's it. This shouldn't be a 4stars hotel, not even 3, I would prefer them having worst facilities, but a clean room. But this just isn't the case. Even though I warned in the reception. They just don't care. Also the breakfast is the cheapest. They did a pancake with chocolat powder? And the juice was horrible. In short avoid. For me is not normal to pay a hotel and have a wc this disgusting. Phone, Ac, safe didn't work. Just observe the pictures
This hotel is near a Metro station so even if the surroundings are not nice, it isn't difficult to get downtown. We came as a large group and the hotel bar was a disappointment. They had to get beers from another place and did not have enough glasses for everyone. The rooms were mostly nice but the WIFI signal in them was poor. Many from the group had something broken or had difficult sleeping because of the noise from the street. The hotel is clean and beds made up every day. The thing that was the worst was the breakfast. The area you eat in is decorated in very poor taste (inapropriate pictures) and the food isn't very good. The staff is quite unprofessional (being half naked in the kitchen and touching the food with bare fingers).
The downside was a so-so breakfast, plenty of food, just sub-par variety. Room was very comfortable, the location was almost industrial. It's near a couple of convention and sports centers, so if that's your purpose, and you're on a budget, this might be a good choice. Book ahead, and you can get a room at a low price.
Stayed 1st week in May. 2nd floor, courtyard view, nothing to see except 3 high walls. Nice staff. Rubbish breakfast, lots of salad stuff. Pieces of very fatty bacon. Greasy fatty sausages. Boiled eggs available. Coffee was OK. 3 minutes from metro station. Area around hotel scruffy. People around hotel searching bins for fag ends. Few druggies around. Decent sized rooms. Nice shower, no bath. Shower head holder broken. Free safe. Hit and miss WiFi. Shelf in wardrobe broken. Room a bit dark, because energy saving bulbs everywhere. No English channel on TV. Would not stay again. Hotel not in tourist area. Hotel bar not open. Staff friendly and helpfull. Cleaners left our room unlocked twice after cleaning it. Told reception after 1st time, but still left unlocked again.
