Much of my family were staying here for either one or two nights recently for a family wedding reception. The positives: The bed was very comfortable. The air con in my room was very good and much needed. Nice size fridge in room. Wedding reception room was nicely decorated with good air con. The negatives: There was a stain on the carpet in my room, which smelled of sick or milk, it had been cleaned up, but still smelled, on reporting this to reception we were asked "did you spill something " no we didn't The fridge in my cousins' room didn't work, this was reported but not resolved The fridge in my daughter's room also didn't work, so she had to store her baby's milk in the fridge in my room. The air con in my other daughter's room had a spanner on the display with a code and flashing red light, this was reported but not looked at. A cot was requested for this room too and we asked reception if a blanket was provided and was told yes, so my daughter didn't bring one from home, on arrival, no blanket in cot, a bed sheet was provided by housekeeping. Check in area is very small, when we checked in we were 3 adults checking into 3 rooms, it was crowded. Not enough bar staff on duty in either bar. At breakfast, again not enough staff, had to chase for pots of tea and teaspoons. Although poached eggs on toast ordered from the breakfast menu was very nice - thank you I won't comment on the wedding reception, as there were a few niggles, apart from the room was nicely decorated and air conditioned.

Absolutely loved our stay here, staff were friendly and made a special effort for my daughters birthday! Room was spacious, bed and linen was extremely comfy! Extra impressed with the quality of the toiletries provided! Breakfast was really yummy too! We will definitely return!

I never expect much from 'wedding and / or Function ' but I was very pleasantly surprised this time. The setting was lovely as was the house itself. It didn't show any of the normal signs of continuous over use, it was extremely clean, fresh and well laid out as was the room. The staff were friendly and helpful and in particular the lady in charge of the breakfast room was very efficient, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also well up to my quite exacting standards for breakfasts. In fact, this is one of the few places that I would actually stay at again. And if you know me and hotels then this in itself is an accolade indeed.

Came to this area for a weekend break with "the minister responsible for all major decisions". A lovely spot with lots of walking routes surrounding the hotel. The room was well appointed, our deal was room only -breakfast extra £10 if booked evening before £17.50 on the day. The minister( ess) is vegetarian and once we mentioned this to staff they were only too willing to rustle up veggie sausages etc.. the breakfast menu is comprehensive, plentiful and good quality. The staff were without exception helpful and courteous. Two wedding parties while we were there .. but the function room is entirely separate so we didn't really notice . We didn't try the restaurant so can't comment. .. it is " fine dining" apparently, ... if you are in the area would also recommend Bletchley park for the history and Stowe landscape gardens for the walking.

Beautiful setting . Peaceful. Spotless. Mega expensive bar prices eg - a pint of Heineken and a wine spritzer £13.50 😥 even though the weather was hot outside the coolness inside was perfect . I think the wedding package is expensive and the room is probably used for training meetings otherwise during the week because the chairs were covered up with the "bows" and material - I think they were plastic garden chairs. The food was good a 3 course meal with attentive waiting staff . We stayed over and the room was great the bed was heaven the pillows were magnificent I could had lazed there for hours. Breakfast included and although I didn't have any I heard very positive comments . Fresh and lots to choose from. Beautiful clean bathroom plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Small down side - 2 milk pots !!! So I has black coffee this morning. All in all a nice pleasant experience. Just glad I'm the grooms step mum and not the brides parents - ultra expensive venue !!!

This was an excellent stay in a lovely setting at Woughton on the Green Milton Keynes. The room and lounge rooms throughout the hotel were beautifully decorated with olde worldly charm. It offered everything you would expect from such a boutique style hotel my only complaint was that one of the Ladies on reception could not understand English well enough to be working on reception so it was difficult to make yourself understood at times which is not a good look for an English hotel. The food was very good and the breakfast menu extensive and included a buffet.

Set in the village next to the Church and surrounded by fields, this hotel is quiet, comfortable and has ample parking. Deceptively large, the guest accommodation is in a new-build at the rear of the old (and very well decorated/maintained) house. We stayed one night and booked a standard room with dinner. The room was comfortable although not large, a clean bathroom with a modest amount of shower gel and shampoo - we had to ask for some hand-soap. It was well insulated - there were two parties going on with a disco and we didn't hear a thing! We had a drink on the patio...shocked by the £10.95 charge for a single glass of Sauvignon blanc though! We pre-paid dinner which was charged at £22.50 per head but the menu barely allowed for a burger and fries for this price. Most main courses were in excess of £20.00. My partner had the sirloin steak (£26.00) and it was very mediocre indeed and then we were hit for an additional £30 for food (0ver the set £22.50) and one glass of wine each. On arival we were asked if we wanted to reserve breakfast - it was £10.00 per head if booked the night before or £17.00 (!!) per head on the day. Nothing special either....the usual array of tired food in Bain-Marie's, buffet and eggs ordered seperately - make your own toast too. The staff were mainly young and inexperienced eastern europeans managed by a few more experienced English. Courteous but not altogether efficient. All in all it was okay but if you go, don't book dinner. Instead drive the 3 miles into Milton Keynes where there are dozens of restaurants offering equally good fayre for less money!

Clean and well run and with friendly and helpful staff. Reception was well staffed and efficient. Breakfast was good but expensive at £17 if not bought as part of a b&b package. Excellent situation and grounds.

Breakfast service was slow other service brilliant. Enjoyed the outside area it was particularly good for the children. The room where we attended our function was very good and the service and quality of the food was very good. Thank you for a lovely family and friends time.

We enjoyed our one night stay, convenient and pleasant location near to Milton Keynes with very comfortable room and good breakfast which we would thoroughly recommend. The hotel has been well refurbished and provides a nice base for exploring the Buckinghamshire/Northamptonshire area.
