I stayed in Hotel Opera for two nights in March 2018 and payed more than 100 € per night. I arrived late in the evening and it was a pleasant walk from the city centre (note: never wear heels in Brussels!). The shock came once I was in my hotel room. The bed was small and short and the walls and windows were paper thin - I could hear every cough of my room neighbours and from above and from outside the window. So annoying if somebody else keeps you awake all night from coughing, talking on the phone and even from several mobile phone alarms at various times of the night/morning. The breakfast was also not very good, just average with very limited choice. But the breakfast ladies were really nice. The hotel also looked quite filthy and smelled bad. The only good thing is the location and the nice personnel. Thats why I rate this hotel as poor and not terrible. I can not recommend this hotel!

The room smalls of cigarette smoke, is very basic, not been cleaned properly, is next to a common area toilet. It's the standard of a travel lodge! No tea, coffee facilities. Not worth the money, even for the good location!

I have stayed at the Opera half a dozen times and, of its type, it the best hotel I know. It is very basic, and the rooms are small, but they are comfortable and the breakfast is good. On the other hand it is in a wonderful location and it is very cheap, which is a definite win. Most important of all, for me, is that the staff are flexible and friendly. I always have complicated reservation, bring in groups to study at the nearby university, and the Opera has never let me down. The trick, and TripAdvisor won't thank me for this, is to contact them directly. It isn't a chain with a central reservation system. You email them directly and you get a return, by return, from a person. I love it.

Opera Hotel location is very close to the Central Station and also to the Grand Place. We got a spacious room for our family of 4 to stay. The front office reception is not good and did not guide us properly to the rooms. The breakfast cost is high with very limited options. The road side view is very good and the Hotel is nearer to all the tourist attractions. It is very easy to get in to the metro or to the Central Station from this Hotel. It is not a quite place as there are several eating outlets adjacent to the Hotel.

The hotel is located close to Grand-Place, 10 minutes walk from Central Station, 5 minutes walk from Rodebeek metro station and surrounded by restaurants and shops. The rooms are small, but clean. Some of them, turned to the front street, can be a bit noisy in the evening. Breakfast is okay. Staff is very kind and helpful. It is fine for a short stay if you are not looking for luxury and glamour. The price is very convenient.

The hotel is located in the middle of town, and the location is great. It is not worth it for the rude staff, dirty rooms, and minimalist breakfast. Splurge on yourself a little and don’t stay here. Brussels has much better options.

Our hotel room was very small but of course we just needed a place to sleep. Room was clean, good price and really good location. We were walking all over Brussels and kept passing our hotel, so we'd stop and use our restroom rather than public bathroom. They also let us check in early. A ton of restaurants on the main street which makes for a very late and loud night. My husband couldn't get any sleep - so if you're a light sleeper I would NOT recommend, however I'm not sure how many other hotels will be better with this problem. Easy to get to the train/metro but the cobble stone streets (while pretty) make it tough to roll luggage on. Free Wi-Fi.

I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms are very small and the cleaning is more than approximative. The bed cover was stained and so were the ceiling in the bedroom and the stool in the bathroom. It was very warm in the room but I couldn't have the window open because the room was facing a noisy street with a bar or a café nearby. It was impossible to sleep with that much noise. Breakfast was not very good either. The room is very small and the selection of food offered is appalling. No fresh croissants, no fresh butter or jam, no fresh fruits nor juice. When it comes to the staff, they were not very welcoming... when someone was there! I came to pick up my key and after waiting for more than 10 minutes that someone shows up, I just picked up my own key. However the hotel is very well-located, very close to the city centre and easily accessible by bus or metro from the central station.

Friendly staff , clean and location is great , right in the middle of the city , with lots of places to eat and drink around. But because of it's location it was extremely noisy, constantly drunkers passing by and shouting. Early in the morning , more noise, people opening the shops/restaurants ; we spent 2 nights there and could not sleep. Hotel as well quiet old fashioned. They kept our luggage before we checked in and after we checked out, thanks for that.

The location is just perfect, you're in the middle of the city, and the price is definitely affordable. Probably the best you can get at that price and in that location plus the owner is a very friendly and nice person. Can't wait to visit Bruxelles again
