We contacted the hotel in advance to let them know we were celebrating our Honeymoon. The room had a comfortable king size bed but I was hoping for something more personalized as it was the first night of our honeymoon we were celebrating but 1 out of 4 staff we spoke to were friendly. I was surprised them asking my room number multiple times at breakfast. It was also pretty far away from tourist attractions if you are going there for vacation. For a solo business traveler this hotel would be good.

If you have come for the shopping as i did this is where you want to stay 5 mins up the hill to avenue Louise and all the marvelous shops. the hotel has been completely redone from the previous ownership and they did quite a nice job.

Location: Hotel is located in the Saint-Gilles section of the city. There is a metro station (Saint-Gilles) about 5 mins walking distance (though might be difficult with large luggage) and about 5 mins from the Justice Palace. There are quite a number of places for F&B especially closer to the metro. Walking to the Grand Place will most probably take a 20 mins leisure walk. Check In: I purposely did not do an online check-in just to see what are the chances of scoring a better room (the hotel proactively upgraded me to a Standard Garden view room) from my Standard room reserved. Had to wait a couple of mins before my turn, check-in was done without issues. They did take a 50 Euro guarantee which is not an issue to me, but for some it seems to be an issue, which is strange to me. Was provided with 2 bottles of water as part of the HH benefits. Given a welcome letter and was shown the direction to the elevators. Room: Located on the 5th floor facing the inner garden courtyard. The size of the room is on a smaller side (I am comparing this to the Hilton Brussels City property). Bed was comfortable and typical Hilton bed. There is a coffee/tea making facilities provided. Bathroom was small, quite impossible to fit 2 persons in there without one standing in the shower area. The only good thing about the shower is the nice rain shower head combined with good water pressure. The amenities are the ones from the Hilton (Peter Roth) instead of Neutrogena (like at US HGI's). TV offerings were ok, though not all channels listed was working and quite a number of channels had issues with the quality (digital interference). Internet seems to be complimentary for all without any option for elite members for a better speed. However speed was not too bad. Noise from neighbouring rooms and corridor was ok, only potential problem is when your neighbour shuts their door hard, the walls and headboard will slightly tremor. The A/C was working good and even at high fan speed, noise level was good. Dining: Breakfast room was nice and bright. However the goods ends here, as the offerings in my opinion are quite bad in quality and choices compared to what is offered at other HGI's and especially to HGI's in the US (did I just compliment HGI's in US :)). There is a possibility for made-to-order eggs, but this is not written or informed by any members of the staff (trying to hide this option?). To put it into perspective, I would say the offerings were just slightly better compared to a Holiday Inn Express (just because they had 3-4 additional hot food). The only small saviour here is the waffle making machine, but even that, the possible toppings for it is very limited. Bread and pastries offerings did look a bit old (good if you are going to toast it, but not for non-toasted option). For the hot food choices were scrambled eggs, chicken chipolata, beans in tomatoe sauce and potatoes were offered. The chicken chipolata (basically chicken sausage) was of doubtful quality/contents. I wonder how full the hotel was cause at around 900am, there was only a couple of people and the place never got crowded - maybe this is the reason the offerings were so lacking. Normally at a good hotel, at this time, the place would be crowded. Again - breakfast offerings at the Hilton Brussels and the Renaissance was much better. For this breakfast, I would not pay for the asking price as it's just not justifiable. Service: Service in gerenal was ok. Nothing really exceptional. Though I think the breakfast staff could have been more inviting/friendly as they did give an impression that they did not want to be there that morning. Overall: Overall not too bad but not a property that I would rush to come back to. Main dissapointment is with the size of the room, breakfast and recognition for HHonors elite member - paper based benefit and that's it. Even the HGI's in the US have better recognition, going slighly beyond what is on paper, e.g. a free drink on us, upgrades to suites/larger rooms, etc. I know for sure price if is comparable at the Hilton Brussels City or the Renaissance property, those will be my first choice compared to this property. Even the Aloft although limited in service, is slightly a notch above this place as I consider it a close to full service property. I am actually surprise at how quiet the property is in the weekend, which is actually not very inviting to hang around the hotel lobby. This is so different at other hotels I've stayed in Brussels where the bar/lounge area is much more alive.

Hotel is not very central, but it is easy to reach the city center (e.g. Gar Centrale or Grand Place) by underground which takes around 15-20 minutes. We stayed in a room with kitchenette. It was very practical and well equipped except a kettle. The kettle should be included in the inventory. wi-fi is very fast and reliable. I even watched a couple of episodes in netflix without any streaming problem.

Best Location. Staff very welcoming and attention to details. I enjoyed the upgrade to a junior suite. Garden available .staff very nice and offering assistance and very detailed. Walking distance to metro and louise

Accessing the front desk is awkward, with steps from the street that cannot be avoided, so if you have several bags, as we did, it's a bit inconvenient. Front desk staff was very helpful and stored our bags while we went out to see the city, having arrived well before check-in time. All the amenities you'd expect from a Hilton Garden Inn make up for it being a bit far-flung in terms of sight-seeing. Except when we were lugging all our bags to and from the airport or train station, we were able to get everywhere we wanted using public transportation. (We could have used the public transportation on arrival and departure, too, but just didn't want to have to deal with the bags).

Check in for a Diamond meber unacceptable. We arrived at 16.30 and the room wasn't ready. The room was unbearably hot, windows did not open properly. Cups and glasses were not cleaned once (do they think we should operate their dish washer) We were there on business. and have no time to clean. That is why we go to a hotel. The bed was not a Hilton bed and the pillows were not Hilton feather pillows. The breakfast was terrible, only pinapple every day. No Bircher Musli. Cheese and cold cuts cheap varienty. Toilet paper and Kleenex not replenished. No indication or notice how to reach reception. Never again! And I don't need your bug letter as a response to this opinion because other people on trip advisor said the same thing and nothing has changed,

I arrived to the hotel in the evening of July 23rd having 2 connecting bookings for 2 nights. I asked to stay in the same room for the entire stay, however Cedric at the reception apologized that they can't keep me in the same room for the entire stay because someone had booked this room on the next day. Then he asked for a deposit of 50 Euros, I asked him to remove the minibar & I will pay cash in case I consumed anything, but the professional answer was "I have to collect 50 Euros so my boss will be happy", I informed him that I stay in hilton worlwide but I never heard such an answer, then he continued "this is the policy of my boss". I gave him a 500 Euros note because I didnt have a smaller note, so again Cedric apologized that their hotel don't accept 500 Euros note. I asked him to send a bellboy to change the money outside the hotel, but he said that the hotel dont have bellboys & I have to go myself & change the money outside. I asked him what type of hotels is this & he said that I'm in Hilton Garden Inn & not a Hilton Hotel. I asked to see the manager on duty or even a supervisor, but he said that the manager will be on duty after 2 days. I was shocked to see such a poor customer service & I will definitely not stay there again when I visit Brussels.

Good location, good staff, close to a few nearby restaurants. Although breakfast isn't included for Gold members (?!), there are a few decent options a few minutes walk away. Good wifi in rooms, not sure if they have a business center though...

Recently refurbished, spic and span hotel, great bedding, quiet, and quite spacey for the price in this area. Breakfast is a bit limited, but ok for a quick bite. In-house underground parking is very convenient. Accessible from more than one side. Downside: room was really warm, despite the AC.
