We booked this hostel for 1 night and it was enough. We stayed in a room with double bed, in terrible conditions. Bahtroom and toilet were disguating, really small l, you could barely move there. Bad location, far away from ciry centre. The only good thing was the staff, they were really helpful.
It is not really a hostel. It is more like a shelter where homeless people stay for some time until they find a job or a place to stay. The place is very dirty and it smells bad! When I told the guy at the reception that it was not a hostel he answered: 'they (homeless people) also pay to stay here'. I think it is not very honest to keep the place running as a hostel.
This is really not up to standard at all for a City like Brussels in Europe! Do not go there! Staff are very rude, the shower was broken. Bad, bad, bad. We booked for 4 nights but we left after 1 night! Its aweful
Nothing luxurious but it's quite cheap and it's OK for a short trip (1-2 nights). We spent here one night, arrived at 10 pm, left at 8am, we could take a shower and have a nice sleep, the water was nicely warm, so as the room temperature (especially for a cold winter night)! Rooms and bathroom could be cleaner but for this price it was OK.
This hostel is located in a great place with excellent connections to other parts of Brussels fairly easily. The tram stop is just across the road and a fair number of food joints are just around the corner. The staff is very helpful and the cleanliness is appreciable.
Disgusting, mouldy, the staff Are so incredibly rude. They were swearing at my friend because she didn't hear them say hi. They tried to scam us for "city tax" DO NOT STAY HERE! It is so disgusting i can't even believe it still gets business. THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN!&!!!!!!!
Right... It was really cheap. It looked really cheap. Everything was really, really, REALLY cheap inside there. In fact, you have what you've paid for. So... no regrets in the end. Not bad location, near a bus stop who brings you in 13 steps in the middle of Brussels.
The room was clean and spacious and Raphael from the staff went out of his way to help us even when he was already off duty. Don't expect to really cook here, limited crockery, pans, no food storage, no fridge..Plumbing dodgy in toilet and shower pretty much just a hose..lockers in room, you can buy padlocks for them in the vending machine downstairs..
You cannot usually expect much from such a cheap place, but in this case it was worse than you might expect. I slept in a 4-bed room. I found disgusting the lack of a working water tap in one of the toilets. (Some parts of the device were missing). I could imagine the bacteria in the door and other places. There was a single shower for all rooms and the floor was often flooded. A completely soaked towel would just make it even nastier. There was mould in the curtains (washing the curtains with bleach periodically would be very cheap indeed). The socket close to my bed was broken, the cover was missing so that you could easily touch the naked contacts. I wonder if this is even legal. There was not even a cheap coat hanger in the room. It would also be very cheap. There is Internet only in the common areas. The place has very steep stairs, it is completely inaccesible for the handicapped. The narrow corridors give a claustrophobic feeling. I will try to sleep somewhere else next time!
I would not suggest this hostel to anyone. Toilets were limited in number, smelly, out of water and toilet paper. Bathrooms were too small and dirty. Rooms were not good as well. Overpriced for such awful conditions.
