The room was clean. The room was priced reasonable for the area. Truckers and contractors were about the only ones staying during the week. Very few families seemed to be here except us. The lady who we booked the room from at the hotel was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if it was the best option available.
Public spaces of this property are in need of renovation. Surfaces need paint, wall paper in places appears to have water damage, carpets in hallways and around elevators are filthy stained and threadbare. That said, my room (505) was quite the opposite, fresh carpet and paint, no odors, all large flat screen TV, and everything was in Good working order except for the iron which looked like someone tried to cook on it and the glass in the window which is clouded to the extent that you can barely see out. The complementary breakfast included hot food and was quite good. Front desk and breakfast room staff were friendly and efficient. Due to the poor condition of the public spaces I would not choose this facility for a special occasion but a clean room, Good breakfast, friendly staff and reasonable room rate makes it an acceptable choice for a night or two.
Stayed one night and that was enough. The carpet in the hotel was horrible, it smelled and was just plain old filthy dirty. Never could get the phone to work. When I checked in, I asked if I could leave a wake up call and the pleasant lady behind the counter said, " No just call from the room if the phone works." Huh???? Really you send me up to my room and then i have to see if the phone works. Well...sure enough it didn't. Breakfast was typical Comfort Inn, a lot of food. However for those expecting to get waffles, think again. They have gone to a pancake making machine. You push a button and Waw La out comes two small 5" pancakes that when they make their way down the conveyor, yep conveyor, they fall off the end into your plate. Now for the good part. They are so thin, they fall apart. You are getting a very poorly constructed crepe. I would have been better of going to the place where they "Leave the Light On" for you and oh yeah the phone works!!!
We recently stayed here for one night on our way home from Florida. We chose Comfort Inn because it is pet friendly, close to I-95 and gas, reasonably priced , free Wi-Fi and has breakfast included. Great check-in experience with Beckie...she was great! Always smiling, cheerful, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Means a lot to road weary travellers. Bed was great but walls were paper thin. I mean thin. Average hotel, with average breakfast in this level of hotels. Sausage Patties and those scrambled eggs with no taste that I can't stand.
Room was filthy. Sheets were dirty, (found a band aid under)stained. Stuff spilled all over furniture, carpet. Cup marks on counters that easily wiped off......I don't have enough space to list everything. All I know is had I seen a lot of this before I unloaded the car, I'd have left. I grabbed the Lysol wipes and wiped the room down myself. Just ewwwww.
I did a walk in check in. The first thing I noticed were the dirty floors. Unfortunately I was running out of options as the other three hotels near me were booked full so I had to carry on. I walked onto the fourth floor where my room was and was taken aback by the smell. A musty tangy smell hung in the air and the hall carpets were disgusting, see the photo. The rooms smell also nearly had me in tears, just absolutely putrid. I walked down to the front desk and asked for some Fabreeze which was instantly produced from under the desk...Guess it's not the first time it has been requested. The clerk didn't even ask me any questions. The bed was uncomfortable as well. Dont know if its because I was already peeved or just a cruddy bed. Also the hotels affiliation with Comfort Inn group was not renewed as of my check in... so no points. For $88 USD I expected more. Never again will I stay in that dingy smelly place.
There isn't enough space to list all of the problems with this hotel. Here are the highlights or lowlights. Security lock on side entrance missing allowing total access to anyone, carpeting throughout hotel stained and worn and filthy, elevators walls were greasy, our room was adjacent to very noisy elevators, room looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. Cigarette ashes in toilet and smelled awful. Could not see out windows because of dirt. Bottom line is everything in the hotel was filthy and worn. The entire facility was disgusting and we could not wait to check out. If we weren't so tired at check in we would have left. Tub in room wouldn't drain, safe wouldn't close. The only acceptable aspect was that the breakfast was good. Front desk staff at check in was busy eating at the desk. This hotel should be bulldozed! No one should be subject to this hotel. There is no rate that is low enough.
This motel has been very neglected. We were ready to give back the keys simply after walking through our halls to the room. The hall carpets are very stained and even the lobby floor was sticky and dirty. A simple mopping would have transformed the area. It just shows that even the simplest things are not taken care of. We got to our room which appeared to be clean and the bed inviting so we decided to try it. The bed was actually comfortable and we had a good sleep.
While the staff is friendly especially at the front desk and buffet, they can't make up for the lack of mangement involvement. We've been coming for several years and its going down hill...fast. The room (1st floor) smelled musty. Dirt ringed the room as dirt is pushed into the corners. Just wipe the center of the table and go on. The furniture is past well worn and is just worn out. Sad.
Staff was rude, rooms smelled, bathroom floors slimy, repairs to room were bad, tv was very fuzzy, outside doors were unable to be locked so anyone can walk in, beds were terrible, no hot water and were told it would be out for our entire stay (how can they wash towels sheets ect without hot water), guest had there truck stolen from hotel, people hanging out in hotel parking lot at all hours cussing and drinking (hotel did nothing). I can write more but you should get the picture.
