Overall a good clean hotel with friendly staff, modern rooms and a perfect location. Location; the hotel is located approx 600 yards from the market square but far enough away that noise isn't an issue. We took a taxi from the station €10, but we did do the walk back through the park, which took 25 minutes at a nice leisurely pace (if you do this from the station, then head left out of the station following the cycle and footpath, subway goes under the road. Carry on till you get to city entrance arch and turn right walking straight up till you get to the market, just before the market you will see a frites shop on corner, turn left there and hotel is 600 yards on left) Arrival; upon arrival we where checked in immediately and all staff on the reception desk where friendly and helpful. The complimentary gift box of Belgium chocolates was a nice touch. Hotel facilities; although we didn't use the pool it looked lovely, the bar is fairly priced and the garden area a nice place to sit in the sun. The lift is quirky in so much as there isn't an inside door so you see the different levels as you go up. The lift can be slow at busy times as it seemed to do each journey up or down as a complete journey rather than stopping to pick up (probably because the lift is tiny). The room was modern and clean and the shower was a power shower that was also very easy to regulate. The mini bar is essentially a fridge so ideal for keeping personal drinks / snacks cool. The safe is large and again easy to use, the storage facilities where plentiful. Breakfast; a little disappointing if I am being honest. The choice was similar to most continental hotels with meats cheeses breads fruit croissant and "hot" food. This was the disappointment as this was luke warm at best. Overall though a good hotel we would go back to

I had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Hotel Navarra for 2 nights in July this year. It's a gorgeous old property, maintained beautifully. The hotel is well located within a few mins walk to restaurants, shops and the main city square. The room and bathroom is clean and well furnished. There is a jazz bar in the hotel, a lovely garden outside and a large sunny breakfast room. We had the hotel breakfast one of the days, it was a large spread and quite tasty. Our stay was too short to use the other facilities provided by the hotel, the pool, gym and sauna, though these areas also looked well maintained and clean. Staff is warm, friendly and efficient. Overall a great 4 star hotel,I would recommend this hotel to others visiting bruges for sure.

We were booked into this Hotel on a Short break. The hotel was a short taxi ride from the station though we did see buses that passed the hotel. Really nice reception area with an eye catching staircase. Warm welcome, I agree that the hotel upper floors are a maze but we made it part of the holiday trying to find different ways to get to the room. Room and Bathroom were very comfortable and clean. Nice touch of a chocolate by the side of the bed but only for the first night. Breakfast was excellent comfortable Dining Room with high ceilings, excellent service and separate bread, cereals and toaster for Gluten Free. Fruit Salad was delicious. Bar was very nice with friendly service only downside was we were the only people in the bar. on checkout the hotel booked a taxi and provided coffee while we were waiting. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel

Great hotel situated only a very short walk from the main square, breakfast is top notch, would have no hesitation in staying here again. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the swimming pool was a nice extra for a relaxing afternoon dip.

This hotel is so clean and comfortable. Housekeeping made the room feel brand new every time. The garden and bar area are a lovely place for pre and post dinner drinks. The barman, Michael, was especially helpful and friendly - really a great barman! The staff are all so kind helpful. A great location too, with only a short walk to the main square. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Sadly the piano is not played during July and August, and we had looked forward to hearing some jazz music. It would be good if they had a substitute for these months. This did not hamper our enjoyment at all though.

The hotel has very convenient walking access to the Market Place in Central Bruges. The hotel is in an old building and getting to your room can be a real adventure-maze, complete with multiple elevators (including some half-floor trips), odd stairwells, etc. The room was comfortable enough. It was somewhat updated--but not modern, by any standard. The room did have air conditioning, which worked moderately well--and was a nice feature in August. Driving and parking in this area is a nightmare. The hotel has very little parking--so, they send you to a nearby public parking lot, which charges a reasonable 8 euros per day.

Stayed at this property on nights of 10th to 12th July.Great location and facilities...though Room 191 was a mission to find and tucked away upstairs in a labyrinth. We almost certainly left a good white cotton shirt behind and in spite of 3 emails and a phone call to the Hotel,no response was forthcoming as to whether the shirt had been found. Whilst it was our error in leaving it behind we were bitterly disappointed this properties lack of response which we regarded as arrogance and unprofessional. We would not recommend this property to anyone

I can't imagine a nicer stay in Bruges than the Navarra. My husband and I stayed here several years ago, and liked it well enough to choose it again. We had liked the location (a very short walk from the main square, but on a quiet street), the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was wonderful, and I loved having access to an indoor pool. The room itself didn't stand out in our memory: we just remembered that it was fine. When we arrived a few weeks ago, we found that the hotel had recently been renovated, and in addition to all of the things we liked from our previous stay, the room was beautiful! It was very big, with lots of counter space and a nice closet. The bathroom had both a tub and a separate shower, again with plenty of space for the too many toiletries I always pack. There was a coffee/tea maker, and- this is a first- a scented air fresher plugged in to an outlet (and plenty more outlets for all of those chargers we now have.) The pool was still beautiful, with a large sauna and a well equipped exercise room in the same area, and breakfast was still plentiful in a beautiful old world dining room. The Navarra also has the best array of television channels I have ever seen in Europe. English speakers have a choice of news AND entertainment channels. It has now become the hotel to which all others are compared, and it is still at the top.

My cousin and I had our 40th and 50th birthday treat trip to Bruges and she picked this hotel. At first we thought the room was very small and seemed a long way from reception up in the lift and along corridors? BUT once in the room, it was immaculately clean, the beds were comfy, it was very quiet, lovely and dark with blackout curtains, we slept very well and the shower was great so we were fine with it not being huge and a little trek from the reception. We loved the breakfast, especially the cava, the really fresh fruit, yoghurts and delicious scrambled egg! We would recommend and would return here if we visit Bruges again. We didn't use the pool as I felt a bit claustrophobic with it being in the basement and it was very hot and stuffy but this was our reason for choosing this hotel which was a shame but it didn't spoil our stay and we found all of the staff lovely.

As you want to be treated badly by the receptionist - choose this hotel! She was rude from the very beginning (oh, even earlier, she gave me really unpleasant call before we came) till the end. Pretty old women with long, dark hair probably think that she is better then we. All the rest was ok. But thanks to this lady we couldn't enjoy our stay there.
