Outdated hotel without personality or style. Don’t waste your money here! Mix of decorations without sense of good taste. Broken tails, sink, wooden floor, bed lamps falling apart. Pillows are just disgrace and not confortable. Window at toilet can’t be fully close. Smell of chimney smoke / wooden fire in the room. Avoid, avoid, avoid if possible. There are many other hotels around and closer to city center. Don’t book because the price is a bit cheaper than other hotels, it’s not worth it to spend any money here. Breakfast room was overcrowded and space between tables is very small and limited. The food is just very standard and nothing makes it special. Hotel seems to be prepared for kids instead of adults. Forget about the swimming pool, it’s very small and don’t suit for adults.
This hotel was included with our ferry from the UK and one night stay package. Overall we paid very little so this hotel was a good option. The lobby was gorgeous and looked recently renovated. The breakfast room was also modern and clean. The breakfast was included in our package and had a great variety of food on offer. The reception staff were brilliant. We didn’t use the pool. Our bedroom was ok. The bathroom was in desperate need of a complete overhaul but can’t complain with just one night there. TV and ceiling fan but no coffee making facilities. The hotel was a fair walk from the shuttle drop off point but maybe in the busy months it might be quieter than right in the centre. I would consider staying again, depending on the price.
Lovely hotel. Family rooms are big and spacious. Bar is lovely but not cheap. Breakfast is very good. Everything you could want. Swimming pool and gym. Car park at rear but only enough for 8 cars. It’s €17 for the night or just 100 yards away in an underground car park €8. Staff are very very pleasant. Couldn’t have helped more with directions to pubs and restaurants. Just a short walk into town. Would definitely stay again. Very relaxed atmosphere and customer service.
perfect location. Hotel very clean some rooms need a little TLC however the public areas are well maintained and the rooms are cleaned daily. The reception and bar area are a pleasant cosy space with a lovely fire on cold nights. There is a reasonable choice for breakfast no complaints there, this is a 3 star hotel and you get what you pay for having said that all very good and we will return again sometime in the future.finally thank you to all the staff for my birthday wishes and looking after us so well.
Positive: - the personnel was very kind and helpful. - the rooms were quite nice - modern furniture, large TV screen. We were a bit concerned reading reviews describing old rooms requiring renovation, but our room was OK. - breakfast was better than expected - not anything fancy but more than decent and despite the number of people being served, the personnel kept refilling everything. - the indoor pool was a excellent addition for us - we didn't see any bathrobes however, that would be a nice touch. - the public places were nicely decorated with a fireplace and all, cozy and tasteful. Negative: - the hotel is slightly off the busy thoroughfare yet the main issue for us was the noise coming from inside: we had a room in the ground floor (a lot of the rooms are located there) and people kept going up and down; it was almost impossible to sleep without ear plugs after 7:00. No sound insulation whatsoever, I kept thinking someone was walking inside our room. - the breakfast hall was quite small and felt cramped, esp. for the number of people using it at peak times. The variety and quality of the dishes could be improved. - the price was on the high side and not on a good level with value. Despite that the hotel was packed! Also, the private parking fee was much higher than publicly available underground parking very close by. -there was no fridge in the room. This might not have been an issue in the winter, but I guess it will be a problem in the summer. -Our room overlooked the back yard, so we kept the curtains shut most of the time.
Booked Via Booking.com, Due to travel issues had to cancel, giving a months notice, booked a few days prior, hotel took payment for one room, now holding money. called previously to change date and we were told an outright NO! Plus a £141 cancellation fee, £280 for a room that's going to be let out and leaving me this amount short! Booking.com ignoring all emails.
Great location , friendly helpful staff, swimming pool , breakfast included , great room clean with great facilities, parking available which is rare in Bruges , not far from centre of Bruges , 5 min walk - would highly recommend
Nice looking from outside, nice lobby , very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is basic with cheap food. Clean breakfast area, but I’ve seen some running ants on the table. The room is good size huge king size bed, comfy, but there was no mattress cover and the pillows and duvet are not good quality, linen was clean and ironed. Room was clean, but in very serious need of renovation, the walls was scratched, chair was ripped, wall lights are falling off the wall, window was mouldy, handle on the window was broken. The bathroom was clean, but again the mould is everywhere, rust on the radiator. The big bonus is the swimming pool. But again lack of cleaning and maintenance... Location is good, bus stop is just outside and it’s just 2 stops to the train station. Overall is ok, but I would not come back again.
Booked twin room for 1 night stay, upgraded on arrival (Don't know what the original allocation was like) to Room 30 on 2nd floor at the top with high beamed roof. King size and two single beds, chez longue, tv, tea and coffee making facilities and open plan bathroom with privacy for toilet. Not ideal for friends travelling together but a lovely room nonetheless. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the public areas comfortable and spacious and plentiful continental breakfast although the drinks machine ran out of coffee leaving hot water or hot milk options. Hotel on busy dual carriageway so constant traffic noise in bedroom. All in all, good value for money and just out of the centre so convenient for the Centre.
A warm welcome indeed at reception, but it was all downhill after that. The first room I was given wasn't made up, bedclothes in a mess and used coffee cups on the side. The second room (apparently a free "upgrade") smelt very strongly of bleach, was cold and had mould on the window, which was also letting in a lot of road noise. I swapped this room with a friend, who's rooms was at least warm but smelt of bad plumbing/sewage - the toilet seat was broken, the plug for the bath wouldn't stay in, and generally everything seemed neglected. I can only recommend that you shouldn't be fooled by the lovely photos shown on their website, this is merely a facade to a very underwhelming stay.
