Good for money
I had a great time. Everything was within walking range or a taxi ride.
We spent four nights at the Leonardo in Heidelberg. It was a clean and comfortable room providing extras such as blow drier, laundry facilities, and Wi-Fi. We used the laundry facilities and that was very convenient for us after 5 days on the road and packing very light. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Location was a few minutes out of downtown Heidelberg so if you don't have a car you might want to consider something a little closer in. The only negative aspects was that Wi-Fi was free but not consistent. We kept getting dropped but that was a common occurrence all over Iceland and London as well so we don't know if it was a systemic thing or isolated to the hotel. Breakfast was offered but expensive at 15 Euros. Plant to eat elsewhere. The last hing was it was very humid in the room but it was just our room. Our other family had no issues with that
The front desk was extremely helpful. The location close enough to town but quite.
The staff is god for most things except getting directions over the phone. Make sure you know where you are going ahead of time via print-out or GPS, before traveling, if you are driving. Parking a car at the hotel costs a 8 Euro/day. American-style breakfast is included. Distance to downtown is far enough to drive, but you may be better off taking the bus so you don't pay for parking downtown.
Very small room for 2 people but clean and otherwise comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Iron and ironing board available upon request but kept in room for entire stay. Decent hairdryer. Nice "biergarten" with international clientele. Convenient to Alstadt via bus or car. On street parking available.
