I would recommend this inn to anyone. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Fenway room was very comfortable and had a historical feel.

No breakfast room available. Parking fee of 25 bucks per night!

the location is fine. I like the king-size room, but sometimes the shower water is not very hot

It's very old and a little bit weird since when I checked in (at 11pm) nobody was there and checking out (7am) I didn't see anybody working there either. I didn't sleep well since there were noises during the whole night

Had a room upstairs. Lots of steps. Room was cozy. Bathroom outside, which was for exclusive use for my room but other people were using it. Front desk, cheerful and helpful except one person who was not friendly.

Very nice stay. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

While it is very charming staying at a brownstone, which indicidentally is located in a very nice area, we were a little dismayed that our parking reservation was lost so we had to make alternative arrangements which the 'Beacon' was very accomodating for and that the large flatscreen TV did not work for our entire stay. Not easy when traveling with a child. [...]

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We got into the area very early and were able to check in to our room early. There was plenty of space in the room!! For a small place they had a nice selection for breakfast. It was an easy 10 minute walk to Fenway Park and a quick T ride to other Boston locations. Great price, great location, great place to stay if visiting the Boston area!

We got to the hotel at around 7pm. There was no desk staff, but the doors were unlocked. We went in and took another 10-15 minutes until someone showed up to check us in. Then they didn't have a listing of my reservation. The room we got was nice but the TV didn't work and it was right next to the Green line so it was loud and obnoxious till late.[...]We ended up taking our dog after we asked them. They agreed as long as it wasn't a big dog and it didn't bark.As far as amenities etc, the TV didnt work and there was a holster for a hair dryer in the bathroom, but no dryer. The desk staff was nowhere to be found. . .If you're looking to save money, don't come here. You'll end up paying for it in the end. Thought we'd get a nice place and take a shuttle to Logan in the morning, but they don't have a shuttle, so with the price of the cab, it's just as much as staying in a much nicer hotel with a shuttle.

The hotel is nice - the location is quite central, and the neighborhood is beautiful. They are located just across the tram stop that is a part of a Boston subway system. The staff was nice, and I really like the fact that it felt more like a pension than a hotel. Overall, it's a great place to stay at!

This is a great value! Quaint brownstone B&B very close to Fenway Park (in Brookline) and across the street from subway so you can use public transport (cheap) without having to haul or walk your luggage far....literally across street so very easy to get anywhere in the city without having to pay downtown Boston hotel prices! Rooms are very spacious, clean, charming (old brownstone) and the continental breakfast is ample and plenty! Free internet, friendly staff. For the price and location it doesn't get any better!

While the front desk hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, the cleaning staff had selective memory. Upon arrival, we discovered Donut sprinkles in between the sheets on one bed with a long black hair on my pillow, and a very large love stain on the other bed. We left our room to tour Fenway Park and and when we returned, one bed was made and the other was not. As traveler, BAD BAD BAD! As a Boston Red Sox fan, the hotel's proximity to Fenway was great - a 15 minute walk through a safe neighborhood. Be sure to check the bed!

Great location, we wanted to be near Fenway but without the seediness that's associated with being too close to Fenway. Nice comfortable rooms, quaint New England decor, large flat screen TV, and a decent bed. Top floor rooms can be a climb (4 flights?). Breakfast is pretty weak.

My daughter and I recently traveled to Boston to visit Boston University. The Beacon Inn was great! We loved the room and it is right across the street from a T stop.

The hotel is very good. Staff is friendly. The location is excelent. The room was very nice. The only thing that was not so good was the breakfast that it does not have enough thing for everybody sometimes.

My son and I stayed at the 1087 Beacon Hill while visiting Boston University. The inn was very charming with loads of character. Our room was on the 4th floor (walk-up) which sounds awful, but wasn't bad at all; the lady at the front desk even carried by luggage up to the room. Our room had a huge walk-in closet, 2 full-size beds, nightstand, desk & chair, wing-back chair, fireplace, 40 flat screen TV, ironing board & iron, and a gigantic private bath (in our room, not across the hall). Everything was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful from tips on restaurants to getting us extra pillows. The Inn is very quite and just across the street from the T making the Inn is very accessible from all points in and around Boston. Thanks to the staff at 1087 Beacon Inn for making us feel at home. We will definitely stay again!
