Punthill Brisbane

Nice apartments. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, from the front desk staff to the telephone staff. There were a few tiny bugs flying around the bathroom, in the shower area, not sure where they came from. The room was beautiful and comfortable! I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone and I would love to stay in them again if I should every return. Thank you!

Outstanding in every way. We had secure parking. Easy walk to CBD.

One block from Central Train Station. Very convenient. Room was very comfortable.

Location is great - within walking distance of downtown and the river walk. Staff provided a walking map on check-in that was quite helpful. Kitchen and bathroom are tiny, but adequate. Bedroom is roomy, clean, with full-length window and small patio. Room cleanup was good, but no cleanup on a public holiday. Guests were notified ahead of time, so it was OK with me, but you may want to ask if you plan to stay over a holiday. If you use the kitchen, you are expected to clean your own dishes. Getting it started is not intuitive I needed to be shown how the first time. The attached restaurant is amazing. I'd stay at the hotel just to enjoy the restaurant as much as possible. WIFI is adequate for business use and browsing, but not for video downloads. And, it is one of those irritating systems that requires a login every time you use it.

The staff were nice and helpful. This hotel is in a good location, close to the city

Punthill Brisbane is a fantastic hotel. I stayed there for a few days in August. I got a great deal since it's winter in Australia. The location is within walking distance to the CBD as well as other good attractions. The attached restaurant is good as well. In regard to the room itself, it was exceptionally clean and well decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had a great balcony. The managers are great/personable, and make you feel at home. Honestly, it's one of the best hotels I've stayed at.

I felt nurtured in this hotel. I was able to have breakfast, wifi and hotel all in one bundled package and was totally satisfied. The one objection I did have was about the hallways and elevator, they needed to be vacuumed better.

very good..room is big, friendly staff, and nothing can be better in an apartment hotel.

My daughter and i visited Australia while visiting my son who was studying abroad. I booked the Punthill based on previous reviews and I was extremely happy with my choice. The quirkiness of the hotel was unique, the staff went out of their way to help and they were extremely friendly and informative, especially Adrian. The rooms were very clean and modern. They were also very quiet - we rarely heard any other guests. The cafe attached, Jak and Hill, was delicious. We walked almost everywhere - Queen Street near all the stores and restaurants and Eagle Street Pier, both of which were only about a 30 min walk away. The train station was only a 15 minute walk. The staff was also able to accommodate our request for two twin beds instead of one queen at the last minute, and we are very appreciative of that. There were two negatives, but they would not alter my decision to return one day. Smoking is allowed in "common areas" and one night someone must have been smoking in the hall because the smell was very strong in our room. Also, there's no one at the front desk after 9pm. I'm not sure what would have happened in case of an emergency or if anything was needed, but luckily we didn't have a problem. The building itself was locked after 9pm and you needed to swipe your key to get in. All in all, our experience was wonderful and we'd recommend it to anyone!

Pros: Big rooms Comfy bed and couch Rotatable tv Nice showers Interesting decor/art Quick channel change (other hotels would laaag) Free Wifi Cons: Cramped hallway Paid parking Chipped paint in hallway Not the best view at floor level 3

The Punthill was what we'd hoped it'd be. It's right downtown, just a block walk to Central Station and another few blocks to the main shopping area. The rooms have little kitchenettes, seating area, etc. Great for longer stays, but good for shorter stays, too. It's a funky place, too, with very nice staff. And a great coffee shop with breakfast just next to the hotel. Highly recommend.
