We stayed 2 nights over a weekend. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I would stay again if the rate was good and breakfast was included. Cons: - We were woken up at 4am by an automated wake up call that we did not order. No explanation or compensation given even after I advised reception at 4am and at checkout. - The waiter at breakfast asked if I would like a barista coffee but failed to advise it costs extra. There is a coffee machine in the breakfast room so no barista was needed. - The pool is mediocre and does not have any shade, but they did have pool inflatables and noodles to play with. Pros: - The bed is comfortable and bathroom is clean and modern. - The TV has 40 different channels to choose from. - The staff are very friendly. - The bar offers a cocktail of the week for $10

Hotel was lovely, reception area, rooms and restaurant all had nice decor. Staff very friendly and helpful couldn’t fault them! We paid for breakfast on the morning we were leaving and paid $32 each which was an absolutely rip off! The cold selection was fine, lots of fruit, juice and breads however the hot food was vile. Sausages were anaemic, scrambled eggs rock solid and the beans had peppers and onions in them?!?! Expected more from the Novotel and the price we paid. Would stay again but would definitely eat out for breakfast.

Room and staff service very good. Dining experience was average from selection through to service. Morning barista coffee was below average detracting from the overall experience. Overall the stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

Was just told that both members of staff that I discussed my booking with were new and therefore Novatel were not taking responsibility for the errors that their new staff were making. Apparently it is the guests fault/problem only. Will not be staying here again. Got double charged and only once I pushed and pushed for something to be done was a very easy solution offered. Very poor customer service. Very poor.

Pretty nice hotel within walking distance to most of what you might want to see while in Brisbane. About a 10 ,minute walk to Queen St. Mall and around a 30 minute stroll to Southbank (which we did a few times...easy.) The room was lovely, the pool was a good size, the staff friendly. Not outstanding but can't fault it. The buffet breakfast was plentiful (and then some...) We got a great deal for the one night. Would be happy to go there again.

The Novotel consistently provided not only excellent customer service but most importantly, a friendly and inviting atmosphere to every individual that stepped through the main doors. The rooms were clean and comfortable to stay in- you don't stay in the hotel room for the majority of the day and the Novotel was excellent to sleep and recharge for the following day. It is slightly out of the city centre however, a short walk conveniently got us into the city + the accessibility to transport services such as UBER is at the touch of a button.

The front desk is always busy, and it does meant that sometimes you have to wait, however this is also a sign that it is a well loved hotel. The rooms are always great and clean, parking easy, and their buffet for breakfast is always a highlight (yum). As a bonus on my last trip I was a guest of the day, which was pretty neat, free wine etc. only down side was all the extra throw pillows on the bed, to me these are dirty as they don't get washed. Great stay, I recommend to all.

I travelled with my kids to Brisbane and we stayed at the Novotel for a change because we normally stay in a more central location. Good value for money. The check in was slow as there was only one person at the reception. A crew from an airline was checking out at the same time so we had to wait a bit. Room was spacious and very clean but bathrooms were out of date and need an update. We had a laugh with the kids about the white curtains with the red paint on it, it really looks like stains of blood. We didn’t like the location because we wanted to walk around the city and to get back to the hotel was a bit hard with the hill. Close to the train station so that’s a plus for people who use the train. Breakfast was good, very friendly staff.

Stayed for three nights on a family trip to Brisbane Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 December. Cost was $125 per night without breakfast, which I think is great value for the quality of this hotel. The lobby area, bar and restaurant are really contemporary, bright and pleasant. The rooms are also modern and clean, and the staff throughout the hotel are excellent (special mention to the lady servicing our room 1117 and the young man with dark hair on reception, who were both extra friendly and helpful). Breakfast was $32pp and free for kids, which was pretty good value. Not the best hotel breakfast I've ever had (which would probably be the Sofitel in Wellington NZ), but there was a wide range of fresh and cooked foods to suit everyone, so I can't complain. I didn't visit the pool myself but my husband and kids spent ages in there and said it was good - however no jacuzzi for relaxing in. I would give this hotel 5 stars except for three small niggles: LOCATION - the hotel is in a really odd location, cut off from the city centre by an expressway and you have to take your life in your hands crossing the road to get to the CBD, even though it's only a short walk. Walking back to the hotel is up a very steep hill, so less abled people might want to bear this in mind. Also, several taxi drivers and uber drivers did not know how to find the hotel, so we were left waiting. ROOM SIZE - the overall room size is not tiny, but the bathroom takes up a lot of the space and is bigger than it needs to be, which leaves a small space with two very small double beds squeezed into it. As a family with two kids of 13 and 15 we found the beds very small and uncomfortable. Our eldest son ended up sleeping on the chaise in the corner. The pillows were also very thin and flimsy. WIFI: only three devices could be connected, which is not enough for a family (we travel with about 8 between us! It doesn't mean we use more data but we switch between phones, laptop, tablet etc for different purposes). Having said that, as an Accor silver member I appreciated the unlimited free wifi and it was fast and efficient. Overall, I was very impressed with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations and I will definitely stay here agin on my next trip. Thank you!

The hotel is ideally placed for the centre of Brisbane as and for the Central railway station. Our room was as seen onntheir website; clean spacious and well appointed bathroom. Limited drawer space and only 6 coathangers for two people staying 5 nights so I guess this hotel is aimed more for business travellers than tourists. The staff were all outstandingly helpful and fiendly. Arranging and then kindly cancelling car hire, greeting us each time we came down and making the stay good fun. Ryan on reception was amazingly helpful and Cindy on breakfast greeting were both lovely peoople and so helpful. The breakfast selection was no more than adequate and got a bit samey on the fifth morning. Wifi is only freely available if you sign up to their frequent visitor program and even then you have to log on again every time you return to the hotel. When on it is a good service and there are three laptops for 20 minute use in the reception area. The outdoor pool is sandwiched between high rise buildings so as far as we could see was never in sunshine
