We stayed at hotel on stopover visit to Brisbane to visit Ekka. The hotel is well located close to central station and short walk to the city center. The hotel staff were very helpful and beds a dream to sleep on. Plenty eating places in short distance walk. Restaurant looked nice but slightly expensive when eat light breakfast. Beds large which also nice.

This hotel always surprises with something special. They've had pizza nights, coffee machine in the lobby and still have the great children's area. This time I received a text inviting me to happy hour. I think this was because I am an Accor member. The food in the dining room is terrific and the staff fantastic. I will keep coming back when I come to Brisbane. The only improvement would be an executive lounge from 6pm to 8pm free wine and canapés for Platinum members. Bit like Pullman on the Park in Melbourne.

I stayed here as my company had an event at the hotel. Overall, the feel i got was that they may be understaffed. Check in was the slowest of any Novotel/Accot hotels I have stayed in. And I found that service at breakfast and the bar the same. While service was pleasant enough, you just had to wait as there were only a few people at breakfast and the bar and it was busy. The room was ok. Clean and spacious, but the bathroom was not great. The towel hook was at the top of the door and anyone under 5ft 5 will not be able to use it. Beds were also a little too soft for my liking. There are better options in Brisbane.

Wareen Buffet says that "cost is what you pay, value is what you get". I stayed 2 nights at the Novotel for a conference and I was favourably impressed. The staff was helpful from Concierge to bar, to room support staff. The food was generous and good quality. The location was close to restaurants, pubs, and the wharf. This will be my pick for hotels on my next trip to Brisbane

A typical business class hotel perched on the side of the Brisbane CBD. Service at check-in was brusque and disinterested and the restaurant on site (there are few other dining options nearby) was very expensive. Breakfast was nice but quoted at $32 which is pretty pricey. On the upside the room was clean and comfortable. The room was also quiet, even on a weekend where occupancy rates were high with a lot of sports fans in town. The room had a shower over the bath which I am not a big fan of. Cable TV channels available.

I recently stayed at the Novotel for five-day business trip. I rarely write reviews, but I feel compelled to share because the experience was so unbelievably terrible. First, the internet didn’t work in my room for all five days of my trip. (For those of you that travel for work, you understand how difficult it is to be without internet on a business trip.) I contacted the front desk about the internet four times and every time I was told to contact their internet provider, which I did. And guess what? The internet provider suggested that the issue was with the hotel. So as a paying guest, I was forced to play intermediary between the hotel and their internet provider. So unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. Second, housekeeping… I honestly couldn’t tell when they cleaned the room. Used coffee cups weren’t replaced, counters unwiped, the floor wasn’t swept, and nothing rearranged. They did bring in new towels…so there’s that. Third, the food. I have limited time after a day of meetings and prefer to eat in my room as I work. Everyone knows room service is overpriced, but this hotel takes it to a new level. Even worse, the food quality is hit or miss (mostly misses…). For example, I ordered a slice of cheesecake and it was priced at $15 AUS dollars. When they deliver the cheesecake? It’s literally cut in half. They served me half of cheesecake slice for $15… Just unbelievable. And to boot, the cheesecake was dry and tasteless. I took one bite and sent it back. Would rather order a pizza than take another chance on this place. If you don’t need internet, a professional staff or you’re okay with half cake slices for $15…give this place a try. Hope your experience is better than mine.

This hotel is centrally located and would normally provide very easy access to the city and river bank but there were road works at the time. Otherwise a very good location. Lobby area and bar have a great feel but the bar is hotel prices and there is no happy hour. If you are ordering a round of drinks for more that three you need to be aware of this. Rooms have been renovated and are pretty good. Beds and quite comfortable and rooms are clean. The bath room has my least favourite feature with the shower in the bath. Having injured my knee recently this was a less than impressive feature. I like a bath but the shower should not be in it. There may be rooms with showers for those who could not use this arrangement and for those with limited mobility I recommend you check.

Beds need an overhaul. Too soft. All rooms appear to be the same -. Management says it's how 99.9 % of their guests like them yet when I asked for a mattress board I was told that they were all being used!!!. Management did not seem to care. Not impressed for a 4.5 star establishment - Will not be going back. Also seem to get the impression that as I booked a room as a deal through Groupon , I was only shown the smaller rooms in the corners of the buildings. Obviously the ones left till last. Left your game Novotel

The Novotel Brisbane is waking distance to so many great sights! I was visiting on a study abroad trip and didn't have much time to venture out past the city, but my new friends and I were able to go out and explore a lot of the city without issue. Uber's were easy to come by when traveling somewhere farther away. The staff at the hotel are absolutely amazing, the coffee shop in the hotel is one the best I've ever been to! This coffee shop is also one of the only ones that serves almond milk as an option, most Australian shops are all the rage with soy milk right now (which I can't have) so that was amazing! The food is delicious! We had meals included with part of our trip and I ate at least 10 meals at the hotel and they were all outstanding! Since I flew home a day later than everyone else, the cost of staying the extra night was not too bad. All in all the cost was worth what the hotel provided! I was able to leave my bags secured with the front desk while I explored the city on my last day, they even offered to let me use the gym to freshen up if I wanted to before I left!

This hotel looks like it's been refurbished recently but not very tastefully. It's ok but not great. I wouldn't stay here again. The beds aren't very comfortable and the rooms are very stuffy with no way of opening a window It's in an awkward location. Ubers find it impossible to find They charge for the wifi too Easy location to central station
