The building is very clean inside, and has a lovely exterior matching the historic home on the back of the property. The pool and pool area are pretty small, and a big family dominated it most of our stay when we tried to use it. The status based amenities are a little silly to me as are the up-charge items in the little pantry at the front desk. For instance you get 2 k cups of coffee in your room included, but if you decline cleaning service you’ll need to seek out replacements. The pantry sells the same k cups? The room has two bottles of water, but unless you are of a higher rewards status they are added to your bill. These are nickel and dime items that take away from the feel of decent amenities, though I get that most places are doing stuff like this now. Breakfast was extra but was quite good! The second day breakfast service was a bit spotty because that same large family at the pool descended on breakfast service all at once. They drank all the coffee, water, cream, and milk dry in minutes, and used every plate in the joint. It was not unlike the army of Xerxes ;-) The staff did their best to keep up but there were only two people on staff plus one cook. Every staff member was extremely nice and professional, and we would have no problem staying again! Behind the hotel is a shopping courtyard setup with some good restaurants and a coffee shop. 55 South was pretty tasty. Parking on the street in front was easy both days we were there.

I was very happy with this hotel. It's very beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Next time we come to Nashville we will be staying here. Loved it!
