The rooms aren't bad, the do have decent amenities, however the smell of cat piss in the hallways and lobby is overwhelming. I saw 5 star reviews people have lower standard I suppose. I wouldn't recommend this hotel simply Because of the continuous odor. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating.

It used to be a Holiday Inn express. Rooms were a little dated but very clean. The staff worked very hard to make our stay comfortable. The complementary breakfast was standard fare. The children enjoyed the outdoor pool. Tgere is a washer and dryer in vending area. We stayed in studio with kitchenette. They have a refrigerator that is a small full sized fridge. Thank you!

I had a King Room. The bed was heavenly. The room and property were very clean but the thing I enjoyed the most was the quietness of the place. No noise from other rooms or from the highway that was right next to us. The breakfast in the morning was fully stocked with continuous replacement. 10/10 hotel really. You get a lot for the price you pay.

We've stayed here twice now just be aware that they are now The Palace Inn, but signs for both are still up. Easy access to the Highway and close to Wal-Mart, next door to Applebees. When I called for reservations the first time I was quoted $84 but wasn't given a confirmation number. When we left it was $117. I called back to figure out the problem and got them to come down some, but not back to the original price I was quoted. That was frustrating but my husband liked the hotel. It was clean, a couch sitting area, fridge/freezer and a decent breakfast (no pancakes as the machine was broken). Second weekend we were given a room at the back of the building with an exterior door. This one was definitely not as nice, smaller and was musty smelling and very humid when we walked in, until we turned on the air. The caulking job in the bathroom area looked like a child did it and the carpet was torn by the bathroom door like a dog was trying to get out. The sheets were clean and crisp and the fridge was cold. Breakfast the second weekend was still no pancakes - can we get the machine fixed yet? We had to ask for more food to be brought out as the biscuits were bricks, no meat, and scraps left for scrambled eggs. Very friendly employees and very accommodating.

The staff here has been very kind and helpful. The hotel itself seems old and the room was lackluster. If I come back to Brenham I would stay here again just because of the staff. The complimentary breakfast was nice.

The hotel was not kept up to the typical Holiday Inn standards. The breakfast was often only warm, and we never had a hot cup of coffee the entire week. Staff was friendly, but it was not the typical atmosphere you get at a Holiday Inn.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for business. I checked in late night and left the following morning for a early meeting. After the meeting, I returned to the hotel around 9am to take a power nap before getting on the road. To my surprise, my sheets were at the door and my room was open. I hadn't even checked out! So much for my much needed nap. I then told the front desk clerk what happened and she just responded, "She thought you checked out." That is obvious! No apology, nothing. I have never experienced this before. I thought hotels had a system to confirm when a guest checks out. I guess this hotel checks you out when they "think" you have checked out. On a positive note, breakfast was good. They are one of the few hotels I have stayed that serves turkey as an alternative to beef.

Great hotel for a work related stay. It was slightly different than what I am used to as there were two buildings. I happened to stay in the second building that did not have a reception desk just key cards to enter the property. The front desk staff were fantastic and the rooms were clean and spacious. Housekeeping did a fantastic job each day and were responsive to my requests. I will stay here again when I am in the Brenham area.

THIS WAS THE WORST HOLIDAY INN EVER. .We had a death in our family and some of us stayed here ,the rooms need to be up graded, phone did not work in my sisters room , rooms are way over priced was told one price when we reserved and another in check in to the tune of $ 367.91 for 2 days Front desk did not seem to care.

The door frame and doors to the room and the bathroom were badly chipped. One of the rollers on the desk chair was off and I nearly fell when I sat down. And, again, the pillows were too large too suit me. I guess I'll have to bring my own when I plan on stopping at a Holiday Inn. The service was excellent as usual and the breakfast was up to their normal standards.
