We stayed at the Swissotel Bremen for two nights and truly appreciated the high quality of service and excellent location (right next to the old city). Rooms are comfortable and would be well suited for a business stay, bed comfort is remarkable. Excellent hotel indeed!
Very good hotel in center of Bremen. Good big rooms, clean and good service at the frontdesk I can recommend it to other guests. I went there with family and small children. To expensive with exstra bed in the room for the child.
Travelling with a full car, our priority was a hotel with parking. So we filtered through and found only hotels with parking. However this was just deceiving, because the hotel did not have parking on site.. we had to use a public parking house. The room's AC was very noisy, and opening the window was not an option... because of the very loud noisy people drinking and shouting all night (up till 5/6 a.m. when we drove back out). The windows are not soundproof, so you hear them all night too (at least on our side of rooms). The sheets had a stain of something, probably blood from a mosquito, or something of the kind. Furnishing seemed a bit outdated too. Maybe this was a 4-star a few decades ago. The bottle of water left outside, which commonly is intended as complementary, was instead charged to us. Overall, this happened to be one of our worst experiences with hotels travelling around Europe in the past few years. As a positive, the location is central. Also, beware not to click on the premium internet option, or you will be charged 15 euros for a faster line (yes, 15 euros for 1 day of faster internet).
A group of six of us stayed here, we drove to the hotel (tip if using sat nav put the hotel in not the post code), we arrived at the hotel and were given a parking spot outside the front door, there were only 5 of them, the other car used a multi story a few mins walk away only 12 euro over night. Great location for the city centre plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel itself very clean, nice big rooms still have a mini bar and free bottle of water as well as a Tassimo coffee machine, well stocked with pods. We ate out so can't comment on food but breakfast was very good, nice choice of continental with some hot food (bacon, sausage scrambled eggs etc) no complaints. Would definitely stay here when in in Bremen again.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious and well-kept. The breakfast was very well-done. I especially loved the selection of loose teas! Parking was close by. Staff were very helpful and personable. Our only complaint was the very slow service we received one evening when we ordered a dessert and a couple beers at the bar--it took 45 min to receive ice cream with berries. They said it was very busy in the kitchen but it still seemed a little excessive. Overall, it was a fabulous stay.
We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last few years. We are doing an extended bicycle tour through 9 European countries staying in hotels. We have been on the road for the last five weeks staying in hotels in England, Scotland, Netherlands and Germany. Our bicycles have either been with us in our room or in a secure storage area within the hotel. Not one time were we told that we couldn't have a place for our bicycles in the hotel until we came to this hotel in Bremen. We made a reservation for this hotel weeks ago. When we arrived the clerk told us not only could we not keep our bicycles in our room, we couldn't even keep them in the hotel's nearby hotel parking garage. Really?!?!? I guarantee you that each of our bicycles is worth more than most people's first car. Our bikes are not filthy and we take care not to damage anything in our hotel room. We've been doing this for over twenty years in the United States and Europe and this was the first time a hotel refused to allow us into their hotel with our bicycles. I guarantee you that after a day's riding of at least 50 miles our personal hygiene is no worse than someone standing behind a counter all day in a hotel. The clerk suggested that we walk "just one minute" to the Hauptbahnhof where we could arrange to store our bicycles. I'm not sure how fast he walks but if you check it's a little more than one minute. I guess if you don't show up in a Mercedes this hotel doesn't want your business. Be warned that you don't want to stay at this hotel if you arrive on a bicycle or you'll end up walking your bike to the Hauptbahnhof. Very customer friendly Swisshotel. I think you folks need a refresher course on how to treat ALL of your customers. My suggestion if you show up in Bremen on a bicycle and want to stay in a hotel do what we did and go to the nearby Best Western where they have secure bicycle storage in their parking garage and their hotel is every bit as good and about 50 Euros/night less expensive. As a bonus, their staff is very friendly and accommodating. Swisshotel might want to send their employees there for some customer service training. Merry Christmas to you Swisshotel.
great hotel with excellent service in great location.fantastic breakfast and very nice rooms. Unfortunately they are still not fully adjusted to the Accor Hotel Group and do not take my member card.......... this is already ongoing for over one year.
Stayed three days at the Swissotel Bremen and all in all we had a very enjoyable stay. The location is as good and central as it gets in Bremen, in walking distance to all major tourist spots in old town and also to the main railway station, Bremen Hauptbahnhof. We occupied a premier room on the 5.th. floor that comes with a renovated bath room, and although the furniture in the rest of the room was slightly dated it still was very much acceptable, clean as well as comfortable - the only negative thing was the very thin and flat pillows that offered no comfort what so ever. Also strange that the shower has no place on the wall to put the soap/shampoo etc. Breakfast was good. This hotel offers great value for money, and I would gladly come back to this hotel in the future - recommended!
Wonderful! My second visit to this amazing Hotel. Adding on to my review from last year...Clean Room all week. Welcoming, accommodating and friendly staff. Close to everything. Free (public) transport ticket for your stay. Large packed lunch if you cannot make breakfast. Early bird buffet breakfast also offered (but very limited options). Room includes all amenities (robe, slippers, shoe-shine kit, plenty of pens and writing pads, etc.) Comfy bed, spacious room. English TV channels for non-German speakers. Kept my luggage safe as I checked out on time but was too early to go to the airport. Negatives: Wasn't informed prior to my arrival of the deposit (refundable) required for stay. Breakfast buffet does not have savoury vegetarian options. Buffet spread changes a max of 10% from day to day. You cannot go to other floors with the elevator only your own and reception. If you wish to visit other floors you will need to use the stairs. The Shower are in the bathroom has no shelf for bath gels/soaps. Fantastic Hotel in a Fantastic City. Only Hotel I would stay in when in Bremen :)
Liked the hotel a lot, and will return if ever in Bremen. The location is great beside the old moat with short walking distance to the station and the old town square. The room was spacey and clean. Also liked the breakfast, and the very friendly service.
