Park Inn Danube

This hotel is very convenient to old town and my favorate restaurant, Mondieu. Good place for the price.

Location very good No wifi in room need to go to lobby Staff no very friendly don't like to speak English Price very good for location

Though well located in Bratislava's charming Staré Mesto, the Park Inn Danube it totally devoid of charm, instead offering guests the impersonal and corporate feel of a spring break destination hotel. My double room was basic, small, and simple, lacking any hint of style. The mini bar has a silly plastic cover and a lock-and-key system which made me feel like I was raiding my father's liquor cabinet every time I put a drink into the fridge to chill - putting a lock on a minibar really is a tacky thing to do. The hotel staff - especially at the reception desk - was consistently cold and impersonal, bordering on rude. In fact, I got the feeling that I was just a number on their computer screen. Never was I warmly welcomed - neither when checking in, nor when coming back to the hotel from an outing. And never was I asked how my stay was - not even when checking out. In fact, when I checked out, the receptionist printed up my restaurant bill and asked me to settle it without even saying "hello;" he almost made me feel like he thought I was going to skip out on paying the bill! Speaking of the restaurant, it is overpriced for what it offers; I ordered minestrone and spinach lasagne but got flavored tomato paste and a dried out block of pasta and cheese that tasted more like coogle than lasagne. Even the jacuzzi was a disappointment - the hotel kept it at about body temperature, hardly warm enough to relax me. This hotel was a real disappointment. It's only virtue is its location, which is close to pretty much everything, even the main train station (which is about a 25-minute walk). Unfortunately, though, plenty of other (and better) hotels also boast great location in the Staré Mesto. If going to charming Bratislava, I suggest bypassing the Park Inn and staying at a hotel that will actually value your business, and treat you like a welcome guest.

We enjoyed our stay at the Danube Hotel, although the name has changed to the "Park Inn Danube". The location is wonderful, great service at the front desk, the main restaurant was under construction but there were many selections off campus. The location is ideal to the Danube River, the old city and the famous local sights. We had a great stay and would consider returning on our next stay in Bratislava.

My family spent 4 days at Danube Hotel. It is clean, centrally located, accessible, located in the old town district. Staff is pleasant, courteous, and accomodating. Hotel is within walking distance of most attractions, and public transportation is ample. Parking on premises, although 20-25 euros per day. Recommend highly.

By the Danube river and a the pedestrian walk leading to the old city, this hotel could not be in a better place. You can have a river view and admire the beauty of nature and tourist crowds. Lots of river boats park across the street. And it can be a bit noisy at night--if you are a light sleeper, choose the courtyard room. The nightclub next door does not affect your comfort. All rooms are clean, modest but comfortable, and the breakfast is really good. I enjoyed the staff--great at welcoming you and helping you with anything you need. Cable internet for free in your room.

We did not realize when we booked, that this hotel is now a Park Inn. We chose this one because they have a pool but being Park Inn these things are extras. The location is great for visiting the old town and catching the Danube river cruise to Vienna.

Breakfast 18 euro

Breakfast is not included and costs 18 euros Parking is necessary (not available elsewhere) but costs 27 euros per day in indoor garage and 59 euros per day outside (sic)???

friendly staff, and very helpful. even as i dress to run "sir, did you know it snows outside?" location in centrum was ideal. housekeeping was nice "you will check-out today?" "have a safe travel" fashion club was cool!

The Hotel Danube was a very comfortable place. It was my first visit to Europe and I couldnt have picked a better place to stay. The staff was friendly. My room was always cleaned. The location of the hotel was also great. A walk away from many pubs and restuarants, the mall, castles and churches. It indeed was a great place to stay!!!!
