Based on my notes, I arrived at Bratislava Hlavna Stanica ( central railway station ) in Slovakia from Praha Hlavni Nadrazi ( main train station ) in Czech Republic on 01st October 2016. There was no direct bus and tram to Hotel Bratislava from the train station. When I took a taxi in the early morning of 03rd October 2016 to return to the station, the cost was 12.40 euro. I bought the public transport tickets ( bus & tram ) in advance from the train station counter. The cost of a daily ticket , for instance, was 3.50 euro at the time. However , the ticket counter staff were not fluent in English. Therefore, it was better to write down the type of ticket and presented it to them. There was Tesco supermarket outside the hotel (near the lobby). So, it was convenient to buy sandwich and drinking water bottles. I walked for 5 minutes to catch a tram to venture into the city. The name of the bus / tram stop was Nevadzova. It took only a 10 - minute ride to the city. The hotel itself was clean including the room. The room interior was nice and cozy for a solo traveller. The staff were professional and fluent in English. I ordered an early breakfast at the reception, a day before my continuing train trip to Slovenia. The baguette sandwich was ready before 05.30 AM on 03rd October 2016. It was delicious.
Overall the hotel is good except from cleaning. We stayed 3 nights and the housekeepers neither replaced our towels with new ones, nor they cleaned our room. Specifically, they didn't clean the glasses of water for 2 days and they didn't throw away the rubbish from the bathroom. The breakfast was perfect and the staff very kind. The location was good and quiet. I think this hotel must improve the cleaning as it's the most important thing in guests's accommodation.
The biggest problem of the hotel is not the hotel rooms but the hotel staff. No welcoming, no personal touch. Especially reception staff is very unhelpful, rolling their eyes whenever you ask for something. The staff spent most of their time stood in groups talking instead of interacting with the guests. The staff definitely need customer service training.
The twin room is big, comfortable and clean with nice view from eight floor. The stuff are very polite and helpfull.Breakfast is extremly rich and good.Location is a litle far from the center but with good access to public transport,20 min.from airport with bus 96.
I stayed here a few times and it was always the same. Mid-quality rooms, breakfast, services. Nothing to make you feel bad, nothing to dislike but nothing particulary amazing. So if you get good price you’ll be probably satisfied.
The hotel was booked for us as part of a package, it had well proportioned rooms with comfortable beds, bathroom could do with some plc. The staff were very pleasant with good English. Breakfast was a good choice of cereals, cold meats and cheeses to hot sausage and eggs. Only downside is that the hotel is about 15 minutes from the old town, there are trams that run from by the hotel but we used uber which cost €4-5 each way.
The room was cleaned, and the halls were nice. The breakfast had plenty of dishes to choose from. The location is a bit off from the center and you have to you public transport to get back to the city.
Good hotel, excellent location if you arrive to Bratislava via airplane, also if you arrive by bus is not bad - good connection with city center via public transport. hotel room was average size, larger than mostly in western Europe, but bathroom, especially shower was tiny. Good breakfast buffet, but not renewed equally, some days especially lazy kitchen stuff. Some floors had smoking area, luckily not my case. Overall good stay, good view from balcony.
I was travelling with a friend for only one night and hotel is a little bit away from the city center but close to the airport so we rented a car and it was oaky, also it offers parking for $7 flat fee. Breakfast is included and with high selection but the bar had a small selection of drinks. Check in only after 1pm (not flexible) but the staff was nice & helpful.
Very good conference hotel at a reasonable price. Renovated but still you can feel the old. Pics are better than reality but overall good. Nice conference rooms, good location outside downtown and close to airport. Good restaurants and bars nearby. Strange things (for a 4 star hotel): F&B service must be improved. More people on frontdesk during night shifts with buses of tourists. Payment upon check-in is definitely strange A tip - use Uber for going downtown instead of calling a taxi
