After driving 669 miles from northern Michigan, I was looking forward to a quiet night at the Franklin Super 8. The room was comfortable enough and I did get a decent night's sleep. The morning shower did not go as smoothly due to a shortage of hot water. The breakfast on offer was minimal, some bagels, cold cereal and biscuits and gravy. I didn't see any juice or fruit but then again I was in a hurry to get on the road. Overall, not a bad hotel experience and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Just a couple of small things that kept this from being an experience I could shout about.
Our experience at this Franklin, KY gets better and better, from checking in with the afternoon shift to breakfast with the morning shift. All the staff gives us great customer service. Although we could not get into a handicap room, when we asked for a shower chair, the staff looked to find us one. It's November, and lots of construction at the hotels going on, and when the bathroom was flooding when we first used the restroom, the staff immediately switched us to another room. Breakfast meal is always a full menu...waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt, etc. It was easy access off the freeway. If you get a chance to look around Franklin, visit Fat Larry's restaurant, 110 South Main Street. If you like music, rock and roll, and reasonable prices, see Christina and Jim! They are open 7am-3pm.
I enjoyed the stay but missing tub stopper...I like baths!I shower daily while I'm on the road cause I'm a truck driver but I occasionally gets me time in hotel n what lacks in bathroom is the tub stopper
Stay was good except they came to clean a hour before check out and stood outside my room till they got to clean it
I thought we got there about 8:30 to 9 called out for a pizza and they brought us a pizza and then we went to bed and got up early and left it was a very good stay
Car trouble at midnight. Last room available in the area. $200 for king room w/ jacuzzi at a Super8? Are you kidding me?Unfinished drywall, bugs, nails sticking out of wall, gross plumbing, disgusting view, burned out lightbulb, broken tile, gross vent, broken diverter to take shower in the jacuzzi. Need I say more? Nightmare manager too. Stay away!
The bald guy at the front desk is by far the best front desk host I've run in to in my travels up and down the west coast and across the heart of the country. The food is actually great and a wide selection in the mornings.
Breakfast ok. Gravy was like water. Country gravy is thick and I know it was not made correctly.
On a driving trip from Plano, TX to Toledo, OH I needed a place to stop & rest. At 10:30pm (Friday night) I used an online hotel booking company that found this Super 8 hotel & I booked it. Checking was very fast and the room was very comfortable. For a last minute decision, this is a very good place to rest for the night!
This was the most uncomfortable, hard as a rock bed I have ever slept on. It was a double room and even switched beds in the middle of the night hoping for relief. No help. Staff was not overly friendly but did their job. Overall appearance and quiltly of the room meet the price point.
