This hotel is all you could want in a 5-star hotel. But, beware, in Luxembourg smoking is permitted in public spaces. The piano bar got quite smokey at times. Breakfast is fabulous and the staff is beyond criticism. Had a wonderful stay.
The Hotel Le Royal is situated ideally at the cusp of Luxembourg city centre, within close walking distance of the Place d'Armes and the main shopping lanes. Rooms are big by European standards and very well decorated with numerous amenities including a pant press, large bathtub and shower, bidet and ample power outlets. TV came with numerous European channels, comfortable bed. Excellent, helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.
Great location with easy walk into the old town. Impeccable service, very helpful and friendly concierge and wonderful breakfast. The decor is a little dated but rooms are clean and functional. Would stay here again.
