The manager was incredibly rude when I was checking in. I also tried to change my reservation to stay only one night but she made me jump through hoops and a 5 minute ordeal turned into a 3 hour ordeal because I had to call Orbitz multiple times and they just called her and asked her to change it. She also said we were only going to put my card on file and not charge it but it was charged right away for 3 nights instead of the one this taking all my money and ruining my stay in Boston.

I was in the hotel for two nights either side of a one-day conference. It was in easy walking distance of the place of my meeting. The running of the hotel was efficient, my room comfortable and clean, and the staff obliging and friendly. The one problem, a major one, was the heavy and very noisy construction taking place in the vicinity, and late night noise in the adjacent street. These were not issues under the control of the hotel, but they bear on the location of the hotel. That apart, this is a well-run, well maintained, and--for downtown Boston--a very reasonably priced hotel.

All of Boston hotels were booked and I decided to try Holiday Inn out. It was expected and my reason for the negative review was the cost. For the price, the value seems missed.

The hotel was being refurbished and there was too much noise and smell of paint, It is close to the basketball stadium, the parking is far and cold night it is very bad because the valet parking is until midnight. The staff is excellent and very friendly.

We stayed here for a Celtics game. Excellent location a few steps from the td garden . Your front desk clerk " Denzel" friendly and helpful, we stayed at a lot of hotels and resorts, and the front desk clerk, Denzel is one of the best we ever Incounted. We will be returning ti this hotel.

Right across the st from train station. Short train ride to town. Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast & friendly staff. A bit pricey but average for Boston area I guess

Stopped overnight to have dinner on way to Connecticut. Hotel easy location from the. North, Valet parking a bit steep at $39,00 but convenient where there weren't options near TD Garden on a game night. Overall an ok no frills experience.

I have not had a worse experience at a hotel. Check in was at 3:00 pm. Upon arrival at 3:45 pm I was in line to check in and overheard the customer in front of me being told their room was ready, a family with children. I proceeded to check in and was also told my room wasn't ready. The employees behind the desk did not have the capacity to answer my question of why they could not meet the customers check in expectations. Not only did they fail to provide me with a clear answer, my girlfriend and I were spoken too very rudely. I asked for the manager. After waiting for 20 minutes, she finally came to speak with me. She expressed that she understood why I was disappointed. However, she also failed to explain to me why rooms were not ready, now more than an hour after check in was supposed to be. After a significant amount of time waiting, they finally had a room ready. Unfortunately for us, it caused us to be very late to a scheduled event. I have never had such a bad experience with a hotel in my life and I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Ac not working but half way, location great, bed was hard to sleep on .free breakfast great.

A location next to the Boston Garden and just a few minutes from downtown Boston at a very reasonable price. Great room, price and location giving a perfect comination to visit Boston.

We got to the hotel straight from the airport on Sat. afternoon a few hours before check-in. This wonderful girl I wish I would've gotten her name had our room ready within minutes. Lizbeth from housekeeping came everyday to clean and change towels. The hotel sits across from the TD Gardens and right next to several bars. So after a Bruins or Celtics game expect a loud party late into the night. This wasn't a problem for my husband and I. The hotel is also very close to the North Station where you can take the train anywhere you need to go. We went to Fenway for a game and the Boylston Fire Station. We walked to the Science museum for the Duck tours then went back the next day for the omni. This hotel will be where we will be staying from now on. Oh an in the mornings expect to be awakened by seagulls instead of roosters like we do back home! Ha Thank you Holiday Inn Express

This hotel is decent, great for 1 night after an event at the garden. Clean, friendly staff, and valet parking. Rooms are TINY, and it is really overpriced.

We were here for a weekend and it was a great time. The room was impeccable, it was close to the gahdin, train line and other fun stuff. Beware though, the noise from the street can sometimes be heard in your room. But i didnt care because i was drunk.

The hotel was hard to find, even though Friend St. is only a couple short blocks. Lots of one way streets and alleys that are hard to maneuver. I called the hotel to ask how to get there. Even though I was only 2 blocks away, the front desk clerk, reading a map, did not seem to know her way around Boston and it took another clerk and 15-20 minutes to help us drive around in circles (during rush hour) to get back to the hotel. The room was well appointed with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker (1 cup, should be 2), sink, cabinets with paper plates, etc. Room was big enough for 2 adults and 3 children (sofa bed & 2 doubles, desk & huge closet) but was still a little small to get around. We found 3 toys in the room, so it was apparently not cleaned very well. Coffee in the lobby was not very tasty.

Older hotel, average, with great location in Boston

The location was excellent, right across the street from the TD Garden in the North End. The design of the hotel was very Ikea. The condition of the room was fair. Although the spare pillow in the closet did have a hair on it which tells me it wasnt washed. All other sheets and pillows looked fine.

This hotel was good overall and I'd stay there again. The only real downside was that our room was exceptionally hot, but it wasn't bad enough for us to actually complain. Location is really very good, many great restaurants, easy 30 minute train ride to airport and close to plenty of Boston locations.

Comfortable! And the location is convenient and room is clean.

Right next to td garden and the hall! Great location for tourist!

Was very pleased with hotel very convenient to everything !
