Well, the beds were quite good and the bathroom was nice too. But there were a number of issues. Our key cards were iffy--one worked at first and the other not at all. After they were reissued we had the same problems, so a staffer came to the door and he found the same thing. Turns out you have to pull just right and then immediately push back to get the door to open. Then there is the problem of a west-facing door with metal handles in the 110 degree sun. I came close to getting a good burn; handles should be wood or at least be covered with cloth in the summer. Inside the room the chairs at the table were dingy and one had a five-inch rip in the seat seam, and the springs were such that you sunk so far in that it made the table hard to use. There was not much information about the hotel in the room--nothing to show us where the restaurant is or what the menu might be, and nothing about TV channels, which would have been OK if the Guide function on the remote worked. I did enjoy the pool after sundown, though.

It was quiet, which was what I was looking for, a relaxing get away.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable room. Excellent meal. But… We were having dinner on the patio, which was quite lovely. But another patron came and lighted a cigarette at the table next to us. Though the waitstaff was around nobody asked him to stop smoking. It was very unpleasant, the more so that 2 in our party have asthma! After we had finished our meal (served promptly) it took forever to get the check. The bathroom sink was clogged up. The caretakers were cleaning around the pool next to our room around 5am. Though they were trying to be careful the grating of the chairs on the ground kept us awake.

Basic clean room nothing much, musty smell. Not much of a destination hotel, fine for 1 night

Despite being an "old style" hotel, it's kept up extremely well...rooms, bathrooms, grounds all look well manicured. If I had a "complaint" (and I really don't), it would be that staffing the restaurant seems to be an issue apparently due to everyone showing up a once! At least in the morning. This was our second stay there...and we'd come back there again.

I had never been to BS before and this was an excellent place from which to explore it - from the moment you pull back the curtain in the morning and step out onto yr balcony to see the sun embellishing the glorious landscape to the comfort of a good bed in which to crawl after a busy day. Arches serves a splendid breakfast. The fridge & the AC were quiet. The jacuzzi was grand.

A little run down but not bad for one or two nights. Room was fine, pool was crowded (think that's part of the plan to encourage you to pay extra to use the more private pool attached to the spa). Some noisy obnoxious kids were a bit of a pain (obviously not the hotel's fault). Golf course was nice for a practice round.

Hot in summer and middle of desert. Clean and Big Room.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was large, cool, and comfortable. The restaurant was pretty limited, but it is the middle of the desert.

This hotel is nicer than the 3-stars would indicate. But it's hard to definite it as "Good Stuff". They did a nice job with the recent renovation. The rooms are comfortable, clean and modern. There location is ideal for exploring the park or just relaxing on the patio or by the pool. The staff is friendly and the food was quite satisfactory. If you're well travelled, you won't find gourmet cuisine and white glove service, but then again Borrego Springs just isn't the place to go for that. If you like to hike and wander the park, but like your comforts too much to camp out, then you can't ask for more than the Borrego Springs Resort. Sure $200 seems high for what you get, but this is the nicest game in town, for all the other options I saw driving through town.

This place is very nice. Large facility GREAT price very friendly staff. The location wasn't fantastic...meaning borrego springs is soooo hot!! Other than that everything was really great.

Perfect for us-on site pool, spa gym. Close to town and of course the park

I was very satified with Borrego Springs Resort and Country Club. It was out of the main town of Borrego Springs but just far enough to be comfortable. The room was spacious with a king bed and a sitting area. The bathroom had a long counter so that two people could work side by side. ( or it was a great place for a little bathroom nookie ) We had no problem with hot water and there were two nice robes in the closet ( one of two ) for guest use. Every morning there was a paper at the door. The resturant was four star quality with a fireplace fired up in the evening and live entertainment. In the morning there was a wonderful view of the golf course framed by the purple moutains of the desert. The pool was clean and spacious as was the jaccuzi. I would recomend this place to anyone
