The apartment was very basically furnished although clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the linen very good. We had a 'Junior Apartment' with a bedroom divided from the lounge by a half wall partition. There were no comfortable lounge chairs but a single bed in the lounge. The cooking facilities were a two ringed hob, one saucepan and one frying pan. No kettle! Water for tea/coffee was obtained by heating water in the microwave mounted above the cooker so high as to be a danger especially to anyone under 6 feet. The bathroom was adequate with hot water tank mounted above the toilet requiring you to duck below it to use the facility. Although the WiFi is free it is also often absent. It is very slow and goes off line regularly. If WiFi is important to you be warned. The location is good with easy access to the train station (5 Mins walk) with the C tram stop and bus station at Gare st Jean. The number 1+ bus from the airport stops outside. There are a number of good reasonably priced restaurants near the station. In the other direction (15 min Walk) Victoire with many international restaurants. The location is good but I would opt next time to pay a bit extra for a proper hotel room.
Spend a few nights here recently as was impressed with the hotel. It was clean, the receptionist was very friendly and the rooms were of a decent standard, especially considering that it is a cheap hotel. Personally I would go out for breakfast if I went back again as the choice was very limited but then this is fairly standard for the continent (€10 seems a little steep though). Location wise we only stayed here as we knew we'd have a car. It is in a pretty isolated location however if you have a car this is no problem. Also it is only ~€10 in an uber to the City centre so really the location isn't prohibitive unless you want to walk. I'd stay again and single men might perhaps get more out of this hotel then others.......
If you have a car and are not looking for great surroundings, you may choose that Apart'hotel. It is clean, modern, rather friendly. But the near area is awful... Nevertheless, it is convenient and you can even have your diner there. Prices are reasonnable.
Upon arrival we received what a I can only describe as, a luke warm welcome. We were not told that the restaurant wasn't open that night until we tried to book a meal later on. By which time we weren't really wanting to go out to look for somewhere to eat. Particularly in an industrial part of Bordeaux. Also the person on the desk failed to tell us when breakfast was served. The TV in our room froze. We informed the person on the desk, who told us, that we had to ring maintenance. Personally I thought this was their job. Anyway we rang but got no answer. The next morning we reported this to the front desk and were assured it would be sorted out. IT WASN'T. All in all a very disappointing stay. I wouldn't stay there again.
The apartment was big, clean, modern and just 5 kms from the grand palace. If you are walking Bordeaux do not stay here. There are views of factory roofs and that's it. breakfast was sufficient with some choice but no hot food. Also there is zero cafes, deli, markets really any type of shop so if you need something bring it with you. The bar Lounge area is not manned so forget about a pre dinner drink. The place seems to be full all the time do be prepared to park outside the security gates. Happy travels
The hotel itself is modern, comfortable and clean but is in an industrial location. It is situated in Begles which is 20 minutes away from the Bordeaux center and the nearest Tram stop is a 20 minute walk away at Terres Neuves. The hotel has a large car park and is secure as you need a key code to gain access. The reception area is modern and spacious with the bar and restaurant in the same area. The room was spacious, comfortable and cleaned everyday. The bathroom was a wet room with a shower on one side. Strangely, there was a window into the bedroom from the bathroom with no blinds, which is uncomfortable when your a group of friends. Overall, the hotel is good but location is not ideal if you don't have a car.
We just stayed at these premises as we needed somewhere nice to stay with a reasonable price and close enough to the railway station for an early morning departure to paris. When looking for rooms close to the station the accommodation was too expensive for what we wanted so when we saw the reviews and price we decided to catch a cab ,a nap and the in house buffet dinner which was lovely and at €20 each for as much as you wanted to eat from the fresh and tasty assortment of mains, salads, desert and cheeses, very good value. As previous reviews have mentioned the accommodation is in a quiet light industrial area with nothing around it. If you have your own car it would be the perfect location. Hotel was modern, clean , staff friendly, rooms adequate for a few nights if needed. Rooms have tiny kitchenette with hot plates and microwave, tea and coffee making facilities but no utensils or pans.No mini bar supplies but obtained some milk from reception. Lovely lounge and bar area. Overall comfort was good and would recommend it for the discounted price we received at €120.wheelchair accessible. Would recommend this accommodation for a short stay. Yea, wouldn't advise, got mosquito' every night, maybe ten bites each night and that's after attempting to clear room. Room was stiflingly hot. Service good but location is awful, 20 min walk from anywhere and taxi only option really... We went during the euros so price didn't reflect the sub standards...
Very friendly and attentive staff from front of house to cleaning staff very good value for money rooms clean breakfast was plentiful and fresh nothing was a problem only downside it was a long way from bourdoux centre but good value for money would stay again
Bad location for tourists. This one was booked by mistake, it was supposed to be the one in Bordeaux. It was an excellent hotel in an industrial area where the closest restaurant is about a 10 minute walk with bad reviews. No shops or supermarkets nearby. The hotel has a restaurant that has buffet breakfast everyday but dinner only Mon to Thu. Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. Room was simple, very clean and comfortable bed. I'd recommend the hotel but not location.
