The hotel is good and very clean. If it’s hot I would bring a fan as the rooms are warm. Parking is limited but other than that it is a good hotel. The bier garden is excellent as it overlooks the rhein
I stayed for 2 nights midweek in June with my teenage daughter. We booked through hotels.com using Tesco points, which made it excellent value (Less than £60 per night , without breakfast). We had a standard room in the side wing, with a double and single bed. The room overlooked the car park, but it was a very nice car park :) The whole ambiance of the dining and public areas of the hotel was very nice, as was the wine terrace overlooking the Rhine. Evening meals in the restaurant were a little overpriced for what we ordered, but the local wine was excellent. Plenty of other dining opportunities close by along the river. Breakfast was extensive. Boppard is a lovely little town with plenty to do for a couple of days, and would make a great base for touring the Rhine valley.
stayed in this hotel for 4 nights over xmas, the hotel was clean, the room we stay in was small, but ok,was warm and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, hotel is close to the town centre and the rhine.the beer kellar was only open on christmas night, which was a pity, because after a few beers the british and german quests were singing and laughting together, great night.the only down side from our point of view was the food.all the meals seemed to be overcooked and dry.not to our taste at all.as we went as a group we had set tables,on the first night the table cloth got stained,it was still stained on the 4th night, just covered with paper napkin.despite the food we did enjoy our stay
Based at this hotel as we were on a bus tour to German Markets. Great hotel, good food and friendly staff. Hotel close to shops, a good selection of shops to choose from and railway station opposite hotel.
Stayed in this hotel as part of an tour with Ulsterbus .Food was awful, especially at night. The staff during the morning were pleasant however the staff at night were so rude, one gentleman in particular muttered in German and laughed when i asked for English Tea for my mum as the food was so poor she cudnt get anything to eat for her dinner. Room was clean but basic, more like a motel rather than Hotel. There was no bar or lounge to sit after your meal we all had to go back to our room. Only positive was the location 5 mins to town.
Hotel Ebertor - Boppard, Germany the restaurant was outstanding. There was a wake for a funeral when we arrived when we decided to spend the day in Boppard from our Uniworld River Empress planned excursions. A wonderful day of food, shopping and a day with my wife in this small town in Germany.
went with ulsterbus had a fabulous time from the very Good room to the wonderful meals the guided tour round the town was very informative and the lady who took the tour I am sorry I forgot her name was brilliant very funny the way she made the whole tour enjoyable I will be back
We stopped here for two nights as part of our motorbike tour in July 2018. On arrival the hotel was busy due a wedding taking place, and the car park was full, however the gentleman on reception advised we could park alongside the large flower pots just outside the reception doors. It is well located, just a short stroll into the main town area with its shops, bars, restaurants and ferries in one direction, and only about a 20 minute stroll to the chairlift the opposite way. Room was clean and tidy, plenty of space to store our motorbike gear. An unusual highlight was the birds nesting just outside the window – it was fascinating to watch the adults feeding the 3 chicks. The hotel has a very large patio area to the rear, which takes advantage of the view of the Rhine, and it had areas that were almost sectioned off with huge plant pots, which helped create an almost homely feel. The really tall Esmeralda flowers were in full bloom while we were there which made the whole terrace smell fantastic. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality and set us up for a day’s sight seeing. All in all it was a good stop, with parking for our bikes, and is somewhere we wouldn’t hesitate to use again the next time we are heading in this direction.
We booked for Christmas. Our tour operator made a specific point to hotel that we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Ignored ! Not even a small glass of bubbly...... water in room for 3 euros........ Room above ground floor requested. Ground floor room across park allocated ! So, out in rain to hotel main building, when necessary for access : meals etc) Bathroom shower had shallow tray so flooded floor every time used. Flimsy curtain to shower ended above floor level !! Bedroom light not working. Reported. Nothing done. Meals average at best; mostly buffet. Staff generally friendly.
I stayed here for a week with a coach party from Northern Ireland. I was absolutely delighted with the whole experience. Booking in, rooms, food, drink, housekeeping, staff and location. However, I think the location is just perfect, situated just beside a Rhine cruise terminal, also about 10 minutes walk from the beautiful wee town of Boppard, along the bank of the Rhine. Great variety of food for breakfast and dinner, tastefully presented, and moderately priced alcoholic drinks. The staff were amazing, very willing to assist with directions, timetables etc. I would definitely recommend this gem.
