We only decided to drive to Germany for the xmas markets the week before our trip. We have stayed in Cologne and Dusseldorf before so tried to book hotels there, they were all fully booked .After checking the distances we decided on Bonn. I am so pleased we did, This hotel is lovely, and all the staff are so cheerful, helpful and understanding. First impressions were slightly intimidating. Pulling in off the main road the hotel is immediately on the left with a small car park for 9-10 cars, but on the right hand side at the top of a small square seems to be a hang out area for groups of people and we felt wary about leaving the car. But hotel staff assured us there was nothing to worry about. The whole time we were there we didn't encounter any problems. The hotel itself was warm and clean. Plenty of hot water and good wifi connection. BUT, I really did miss not having a safe in the room. I dare say if I had asked at reception they would have held on to our things. But its not the same as the convenience of having one in your own room. We always travel with our own kettle, so hot drinks were not a problem. The hotel is steps away from the Christmas Market, and it was a nice one too. The main shopping area is also moments away, with lots of choice, and plenty of eating choices as well. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheese, bread, and also scrambled egg, sausage and bacon. Really everything you need to set you up for the day. One day all the sausages had gone so I asked the waitress, five minutes later freshly cooked ones appeared. Cannot fault that service at all. After our return home I thought I had left my glasses behind, I contacted the hotel, after checking they discovered I hadn't left those. But I had left an item of clothing which they offered to send back to me. The staff are all lovely and whenever a guest appeared they had a smile and a joke with them. If I ever come back to Bonn, this hotel is one I would definitely stay at again.
I stayed in Hotel Consul for 2 nights and can reccomend it. The staff is wonderful, friendly and ready to help. Breakfast was delicious, always a variety of tasty choices and hot drinks are being made directly for you. Room was nice and clean, with big TV a bar fridge, soft carpet and a welcome mini Haribo sweets. The only thing I didnt like during my short stay was the shower head which can be only moved up and down the bar, but I coudnt take it to hold in the hand. It was not so easy to shower, but on the other hand there was plenty of hot water. The last benefit I would like to mention is the suitability for disabled customers using wheelchairs - the room designed for disabled customers has a good equipped bath for special needs and the whole hotel is barrier-free.
This was my first trip to a foreign country. ADVANTAGES:-central location -The room was cleaned thoroughly every day -The Staff were all very friendly and helpful -Nonsmoking (for all rooms) DİSADVANTAGES: -for wireless, every day you have to enter the same password again (iş seyahatleri için yeterli ve uygun fiyatlı bir otel.Konakladığım süre zarfında hiç bir sorunla karşılaşmadım. Bonn'un merkezinde yer alması yeterince cazip)
The hotel is centrally located, a quick walk from the nearest tram stop. The staff were really very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big enough, but just a bit dated and tired. They were clean though. The shower is great. The WiFi was strong and reliable. I didn't have breakfast.
Stayed here for nearly two weeks - the staff were absolutely fantastic. Very helpful, welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was all that you'd need and rooms were comfortable. Wifi connection was much better than any other hotel i've stayed in, in Bonn. Would recommend staying here for short and longer stays!
Rooms are nice (some of them quite small though), very clean, well equipped (air conditioner very appreciated this summer). Bathroom - everything as it should be, clean, fragrant, nice. Very good internet connection. A voucher valid for 2 days & 2 gigabytes. I got three of them (one per device) last time. More than enough. Very good (typically German apparently) pub nearby - Gasthaus Im Stiefel. Good place to go and have a few beers after a hard day in an office :-) Well ... I am not saying this is the best hotel in the world. Not the best place for honeymoon probably :-). But for a tourist? Or for a business trip? You get everything you need, in a very good quality, for a very reasonable price. And I always appreciate nice, friendly, willing to help personnel - and this is exactly the case.
Stayed in single room, very comfortable bed, with air conditioning, heater, work desk, clean bathroom. I was provided with 2 user id to connect the wifi, 1 for the phone and another for my notebook. However, i never ever got a website properly load on my notebook. It was working on my phone but very very slow. Hopefully the hotel can improve on this. The staffs are all very friendly, especially at the breakfast room. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay for me.
This was just the hotel I needed and was looking for after arriving from my last destination which had no air con. The summer was so hot that I lay on the bed 1hr after arriving enjoying the cool air! The rooms was very comfortable and the shower was powerful and divine! Stayed 3 nights here all of which were comfortable. The bed also gave me a good night's sleep. Didn't have my laptop, and the staff were happy to allow me to use the guest computer in the lobby. I was very impressed with the breakfast. I was actually only expecting continental style breakfast, however was delighted to see eggs, bacon and sausage. The German cold cuts and blackforest ham was also yummy! If I ever return to Bonn, I will definitely be staying here again!
The hotel is at a very convenient location, staff members are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and quiet and wifi is fast and free of charge. A good place to stay for business with public transport nearby and restaurants and pubs in walking distance. The hotel interior is sober in design and in the style when Bonn was still the seat of the Federal German Government. The whole hotel is non-smoking.
The front of house staff were friendly and welcoming.. I had never spoke German, and tried my best with them.... Very clean room... A fantastic location as the Rhiene was 100meters away...A very pleasant stay..would recomend this hotel... Breakfast wad great and if you were hungry it's your own fault..!
