The desk service was polite, but the overall quality is weak. Room service was provided by the Italian restaurant next door. They didn’t speak English and they brought my plate without a cover through the street and into the hotel. All without a tray. Then they didn’t want to pick up the plate because they didn’t work at the hotel. Breakfast was low quality, including the bread. Otherwise, the rooms were wide, a bit oldfashioned, but efficient. Seemed more like a low cost three star hotel.
Good hotel but needs improvement as far staffs are concerned while dealing with non-German speaking traveler. Beds were old seems and became hard, Complimentry water needs to be there every day, which was not seen and had to request every day although bathroom water was potable. Place wise it was serene. Wood work was good. For business class traveler a nice place.
Breakfast good. Let me check in early. Hotel fine. However, I left change (coins) on the dresser when I went out one day and when I returned they was gone. I questioned that at the front desk and they said housekeeping must have thought it was a tip. I have been to many hotels and have left change at times and no one has taken it. I would understand assuming it was a tip once I checked out but not during my stay.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Beds however were hard as wood and the minibar contained just one bottle of water even though the sign next too it said two bottles of water and two bottles of beer were included. Location of the hotel is nice and the little Italian restaurant in the hotel serves a descent meal
It's a pity we were there only one night, but it was preaty cosy by it's location and comfortable with its facilities (hygienic stuffs, mini kitchen, minibar , office table with info and letters ready to send and sauna). Fresh bed and light feather blankets. Very nice servise stuff and substantial and various breakfast. Parking is not included in the price of a room. I'd recommend you to stay in this hotel, as whatever the weather in Bonn , you'll always find here what to do:)
It seems to be an old house... but very good renovated and modernized. Service it great, the rooms have perfect equipment. I simply had very much fun on overlooking the Adenauerallee and to be very near to the Student-Cooporation of Bavaria Bonn in CV. Love to come back, soon!
Close to UNU buildings. Quite a long walk into the city. Décor is in need of an upgrade - 1960s opulence comes to mind. Breakfast area small and soulless. Good free mini bar. Great bed. Nice bathroom.
Köln Bonn An ideal hotel for the area.Rooms are clean,It is located in a quiet area hotel! The food in this hotel is not very good""The staff is unconcerned with the guests! An ideal place to stay. Not very luxurious.
I was in this hotel during 2 nights for a business travel. I arrived late and lady from the reception was really welcoming, friendly and nice. Opened my doors room; 1st impression; strange smell. I tried to find where it came from but since it was late I gave up after few minutes (maybe the tapestry). Took my shower, prepare my stuffs for next day and dove in my bed. What a disappointment, it was for me to lay my head down over a full smelling pillowcase (it smelled like used by someone else per days). Nevertheless I tried to forget this and changed with my second pillowcase option but it's already done and couldn't get the smell out of my head. It's a petty for this hotel do offer such kind of experience, I was disappointed. I'm a frequent traveller therefore it wasn't nice to feel not respected; as tariffs are quite high I expected a certain level of services.
We stayed in the Hotel (family with 2 kids) for 5 days during winter. We stayed in the suite with a regular double bed (good mattress, nice sleep quality) and a sofa-bed. The Hotel offered, free of charge, a crib that was most welcomed for my baby. The suite has a nice size, very comfortable for a family, with a small kitchen (but no dishes or cutlery supplied). However, the size of the bathroom was disproportional in front of the size of the room (could be larger for more comfort). The Hotel also offer breakfast (paid) and a Gym (but not too many options of equipment). In general, the Hotel has well maintained facilities, good internet access and I believe is is very good for Business Travelers that need to access the World Conference Center and the UN Compound (since it is just about 15 minutes walk from these). On top of that, the metro station is almost in front of the Hotel, from there you have easy access to downtown (and the Airport Bus Line) or take the local metro train to Cologne Train Station. There is a Italian restaurant attached to it that I believe it is responsible for be room service. But it is not 24/7 and it closed at Sundays. CONS: - There is no individual heating regulation in the suite: it is done by the staff, and it is difficult to get to a good temperature all over the room due to its positioning by the foot of the window. - No cutlery or dishes to use in the kitchen. - Mostly of TV channels are in German, and there is no option to change the remote control configuration to at least have the movies spoken in english (SAP button). - Pricey breakfast for the options of food offered. - No public parking around it. - Closest restaurant/supermarket about 2 to 3 blocks away.
- Close to United Nations
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Onsite dining
