Super 8 Boise

2.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Dirty room, murky pool and didn’t provide even half the amenities advertised. There were people who just hang out by the door so they can sneak in as soon as you open it with your key card. They advertise coffee and tea in the lobby . There isn’t any. They advertise free Sunday paper . There isn’t any . They advertise a laundry room . They have one, but ALL machines were out of order. They advertise a shuttle to the airport, they have one, once a day. The advertise vending machines . I couldn’t find one. The pool was disgusting. It was cloudy and had a yellowish film on the water. There were dirty wet towels laying around the pool. Our mini fridge in room had leftovers in it and empty cans. The bathroom had a used towel. I will never set foot in a super 8 again

Requested a no smoking room, for sure it had been a smoking room. Left and forgot receipt. Called and they said they would email right away. Never got email, called again, and was told they dont give and cant give a receipt if booked through Orbitz. They said Orbitz should have sent a receipt when we checked out. Orbitz says no, thats not the case, and I believe them because this was the first time a hotel has ever told me that. Neither of us could get past the amount of body hair in shower, so no shower next morning.

Lots of shady night time folks in the parking lot at 3am. Hallways are smelly and dirty. Room was fine for the brief overnight we stayed here. Clean enough room but there were fixtures falling off the walls, shower water pressure (and smell?) was unpleasantly strong, which is better than the alternative I guess. I wouldn't stay there more than one night. Park under the streetlights...

The room was nice for a super 8 but it there where still a lot of super 8 qualities about it. The safe in the room didn't work and the lady at the front desk didn't even know the rooms had safes. The shower temp control was broken so I hope I like ice cold showers. Other than that you really can't beat it for the price !!!

The staff was nice the hotel overall was fine. However the chair in the room really needed to be thrown out, plus the lamp shade by the bed was completely broken and torn apart but just had that side facing the wall. Overall for the price I was satisfied. Breakfast was great!!

Room was cold at night, one of the dials was missing which made it hard to regulate the heat/AC. If the box was in the wrong spot (next to the TV) the picture would freeze, color would be bad, etc.

This is not a place you want to take your family. It is like walking into a 1980 horror film hat takes place in the bad side of town.

I booked a stay for 2 nights. The first room I was given had a hole in the middle of the ceiling with capped wiring. The bathtub looked really dirty and I was traveling with my two small children so I requested a new room. Staff knew the hotel was not up to par and made excuses. I was given another room that looked better but not great. Turns out the hole in the first room was where the smoke alarms should have been. Both rooms were dark, even with lights on. The screen was falling out of the window in the new room and the A/C was broken. I asked about cancelling my reservation, at least for the second night. I was told I'd have to call the third party company I'd booked my reservation through and then it would still have to be approved by their manager. I really wish I just stayed in a nicer hotel across the street but just stuck it out because of the hassle. Big Mistake. I also went to the front desk another time to get a tooth brush since I had forgotten mine and they had signs that they could provide one. They didn't have any tooth brushes. I called the front desk once for an iron and ironing board. They sent maintenance but confused my room with someone else and brought me a remote instead. The pool was also a disappointment, cloudy, dirty, and unwelcoming. After sleeping there for two nights, I am covered in about 2 dozen bug bites. Bottom line, don't stay here.

I am going to go against trend and give this place 5 stars. Why? Is the the Venetian Marble and the Excellent Room Service? The in room Valet and the covered parking. NO, it's because it's cheap, clean, comfortable, staffed by friendly helpful people, and a hell of a value. You get what you pay for here and more. I have stayed twice in the last 3 years and will be back.

The Super Breakfast was enjoyable with waffles (even strawberry ones) and something to please everyone.

Great location priced fairly, staff great, horrible plumbing

When we pulled up around midnight the clerk was outside smoking but was nice and very helpful in providing a complimentary car to take us to the airport the next morning. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, my husband and I tossed and turned all night and got maybe 3 hours of sleep all together. We left before breakfast was being served so couldn't help you on that but overall it was a decent hotel for the price, other than the matress.

We went for a concert, the room was comfortable. I liked the little waffles, ggs.and the hard boiled ee

Often times, they don't make the beds, empty the trash, or provide clean towels, etc. There are also lots of things that need to be repaired such as missing room numbers, broken lamps, outdated air conditioners with all the numbers rubbed off, etc., etc., etc.

Quiet so I could sleep. Nice TV to watch the game.

I never expect a Four Seasons type of stay at a Super 8, but the staff exceeded expectations. We had to switch rooms because of a toilet problem. That happens, understandably. The staff handled the situation professionally. My only problem was the mattress in our second room. I almost asked for another room but didn't want to switch again. Time to replace the mattress in #128!

Clean, pleasant, convenient, budget friendly! Thanks!

The Hotel was not what we expected. From the photos on line we expected cleaner Pool and Room conditions. The beds and pillows were great but dust everywhere in the room and the shower had mold in it. My girls would not even go in the pool because it did not look clean! There were people on our floor that were parting and asked my 13 year old to come join them.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. Very accommodating with my puppy kiddos!
