Stayed for a week in June. They couldn't have made us feel more welcome.. Everything was perfect, couldn't fault anything, if you needed anything all you had to do was ask. It was very quiet due to the problems in Turkey and the surrounding area but we didn't see any problems. Felt so sorry for the local bars and restaurants as trade is offering due to tourists staying away, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back again
We stayed just before the summer holidays so the hotel was very quiet. Staff were very tentative and did their best to help us when one of our taxi's didn't turn up for a day trip. Food was good and the bar was a great atmosphere at night. We hardly left the hotel throughout our entire trip!
Have just returned from a fabulous holiday at the Sunny Garden Nilufer. We loved the people and the hotel Adviye and her husband Eerdoan (Erdogan) are so hospitable and friendly, as are all the staff they were so helpful ...nothing is too much trouble. They gave us a fantastic room, overlooking the pool, with sea views. The room was spotlessly clean with a daily service with towels etc changed regularly. The pool area is cleaned everyday and so are the sunbeds and surrounding areas. The hotel is just up the road from Akyarlar in Karaincer and just a short walk from Karaincer beach where the hotel has an area with free sunbeds. Our visit was early in the season and we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing holiday and we will go back :)
Not so central - perhaps 1.5 km walk to the beach and main restaurant area but it's a nice walk and means the hotel is away from the hustle and bustle - quiet and relaxing. Owner/ managers very nice but rest of the staff not so helpful or friendly. The landscaping was very Mediterranean with great flowers and plants. Clientele tended towards the over-50s, predominantly Russian and Turkish with a few Brits thrown in. Pool good (not large). Food not so good - breakfast standard for Turkey while dinner was average or less so. Careful choices needed. One room may be small and dark while the one next to it will have a balcony with fresh breezes. The single room I stayed in was close to the front entrance and got a lot of traffic and, as the door is glass and the curtain small, not that private.
We loved the hotel so much. It felt like home from the first day. The staff and owner of the hotel was so nice and friendly. The food at night was really good. It is a beautiful hotel with garden, flowers, lovely pool, nice rooms and great people. We definitely din't want to go home at all and we are thinking of coming back soon.
I stayed here in June 2008, The staff were excellent "Happy and Errol" were very helpful and attentive. The hotel and the rooms were clean and tidy. An ideal place to relax and unwind. A short dolmus (bus) ride away is the port of Turgitries, a busy and peacefull port, in the other direction is the Town of Bodrum, very busy and market day is the best experience. Would love to visit here again, very relaxing place to stay....
Beautiful views of the water, a lovely pool, home style cooking and excellent service led by a charming and generous host who fed a large group of us, arranged transport and a tour, and provided for our comfort.. Walk to the beach and enjoy cool water in a shallow, calm bay; lounge chairs; and a nice restaurant featuring fresh local food. My room was at the top level in my own eagle's nest, a 2-room suite with a living room and bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed. Linens were fine. My room's windows overlooked the pool and hills beyond as well as the water, which I enjoyed from a single chair on a tiny balcony. A nice feature is the swimming pool. An outdoor bar is available. NOT equipped for handicapped access. Good for the traveler who wants to hang out. It's a bit of a distance to Bodrum city, but as an escape from the hustle and bustle it serves nicely.
My partner and I recently stayed for three days in room 506 at Sunny Cardenas and we had a great time. We were well looked after at this small family run hotel. Staff were polite and helpful and responsive to small requests. Food and drinks were very reasonably priced and everywhere was clean and tidy. The owner is clearly an animal lover with lots of friendly dogs and cats ( kittens) around which for us made our stay every better. We will definitely be back next year!
Sunny Garden is a treasure. Well, first of all, this part of Bodrum is a treasure. The water and swimming is wonderful. The opportunity for pure relaxation is off the charts. Then you take a place like Sunny Garden and place it in this relaxing peaceful location and it's nothing short of heaven. Sunny Garden has it all - clean, well-appointed rooms that are not too small so you can feel uncramped while you're there. The bed was the comfortable for the first time on this trip! That was a pleasure. You wake up to sun, beautiful purple bogandiyas swaying in the wind. This effect is enhanced if you leave your French door open a jar. There's a restaurant and bar. Music. A great pool with beautiful clean water. It's hard to decide to lounge at the pool or the beach, which is right next door. My favorite part of the visit was getting to meet the staff at Sunny Garden. They are helpful and friendly. Some of them speak very good English. Their Kindness made the stay incredibly pleasant because you felt like you were at home. There are two dogs and a few cats on site that they care for, and it was fun to be able to meet their animals. I recommend Sunny Garden for your Bodrum stay. There's little more that I could have asked for than to bask in the Bodrum sunshine and Sunny Garden atmosphere for a few days.
We have just spent a very enjoyable 11 nights bed and breakfast at this hotel. We had a lovely room with a beautiful view, yes there were a lot of stairs but if you ask for a ground floor room it is not a problem. The hotel was very quiet and just what we wanted with friendly helpful staff. There is a migros supermarket next door and a pizza restaurant just up the road. Breakfast was typical buffet style and evening meal was a buffet for just 25 lira - a bargain. We were even given free tea, coffee, juice and water whilst by the pool all day. There is a small marina in the centre of Akyarlar with more restaurants, couple of shops and cashpoint machines, this is about a 20 minute walk away. The beach with free sunbeds is a 10 minute stroll across the road. The local dolmus stops outside the hotel and will take you into Turgutries or Bodrum where there are a wide choice of shops and places to eat. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are after a quiet relaxing break in a quiet location.
