The staff could not be more accommodating and customer-focused. The food is expensive, but portions were large and always delicious. Although outrageously expensive, the upgrade to a pool/ocean view balcony room at the Beach Club was a worthy indulgence. Be aware, however, that there will be all kinds of monetary holds placed on your credit card...strange amounts and lots of them. They disappear within five days, but they are excessive. There is very little included in the room and resort fee, except a “free” lounge hair pool or beachside. Everything is extra. Still, there is something special about the resort beside its decadence. You feel welcome and doted upon.
the food did not meet the expectations that would be expected of a hotel of this category
great spot if you love tennis, golf, spa and beach!
My son attends Western Kentucky University. So for part of his Christmas gift, I bought tickets and made a reservation where the team would be staying. I thought it would be fun to be part of the celebration, amongst fellow fans. When we checked in they said we were in the bungalows. As we took the drive to our room, it was becoming apparent we were not in the hotel amongst other fans but in the fartherst back corner of the resort (the back exit was right outside our door). The disappointment on my sons face was overwhelming. Thank goodness WKU won. I paid over $300 for a tiny room, which was not comfortable. I have stayed at hotels paying well below this and have been very happy. Don't waste your money!
It is a beautiful hotel a little run down. Have to say some of the staff are really nice and caring. But I felt everything was over priced simple breakfast to a family style Resturant I really wished they could make it more reasonable for families, $8.00 for a cup of coffee but is the experience I guess you are paying for.
The hotel was amazing. The rooms were spacious and beautiful. The beach club was a little crowded though.
Everything you could Want in a high end luxury resort- staff was amazing!!
I called room service to get a fork and knife. It took 2 1/2 hours to get to me. I also was disappointed that the add did not say that there was no choice but valet that cost $37.50 a day. hat was more expensive. The hotel is nice, but upon arrival I found out they were doing renovations and the pool was closed. I was raveling with a baby so at times difficult.
Excellent stay at this beautiful, historic hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the grounds/hotel were very impressive. Everything a resort should be!
It was great! We really enjoyed the fantastic experience. We would stay here again anytime we can get the room at a similar discount.
Has it all. Make sure you take the water taxi service to the beach club. Quick and fun boat ride.
Great hotel for business and pleasure. Staff is very accommodating and attentive.
Awesome experience! Fabulous upgraded room in the yacht club! Great customer Service.
Spent two days at a business event held at the hotel. The facilities were in very good condition, the staff was very helpful and the resort offered a wide variety of excellent amenities. I would highly recommend the hotel for a business function.
We always stay here when we're in town on business. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our needs. We will continue to stay here whenever we are in town.
