Great location and accessible to all tourist spots. Amazing view of the Blue Mountains from outside the hotel and the lounge area. Room stay was comfortable with vintage curtains. Exceptional pianist playing music during evenings. We found the staff attitude not so warm or welcoming. We had arrived at 01:45 pm and the standard check in time was 2:00 pm. We were told off that it wasn't 02:00 pm even though we had requested for an early check in. Upon booking we had purchased the standard room with free continental breakfast and were later told that we had to upgrade for a full buffet breakfast to avail hot food. Overall, nice and cosy stay.

Stayed 2 nights and overall had a good time and we thoughts it was good value. Large room and breakfast included. Although the breakfast buffet was basic and not particularly remarkable, it did the job. The hotel is pretty old though, and It really feels in need for some renovation, carpets, beddings, showers etc... the tv in our room was super tiny and we could not open the windows. But to be honest that did not really bothered us that much, it overall felt very cosy with various chilling rooms, fireplaces, nice open view on the mountains etc... and special mention for the pianist who added a great relaxing atmosphere in the evening after a long day in the cold. good parking facitilites, good wifi, good location. enjoyable stay overall.

Staying here is a little bit like staying at your Grandparent's house - it's nostalgic, old fashioned, and cosy. From the floral cushions to the slightly run down bed stand (that Nan doesn't want to part with just yet) it's certainly not brand new - but it's very pretty, with a very nice view and feel. A bit like stepping back in time - which is pretty much what you want when you go to visit the Blue Mountains, a little bit of history. Overall recommended, particularly for those who aren't looking for a modern hotel.

We are locals and ate dinner in The Mountain Heritage restaurant. We did not stay in accommodation. I eat out a lot, and I was really surprised and delighted by the food, the ambiance, and the service here. I had the caramelised pork, followed by crepes suzettes - both were excellent. The pork was as tender as marshmallow and had wonderful maple and apple flavours, and the crepes were brilliant. My only disappointment is that the restaurant appears to be only open on Friday and Saturday nights.

I wasn't really looking forward to this little trip that much, after having spoken to a rather frosty receptionist. I want a warm welcome when I call a hotel! This was a very long way from warm! However, when we actually arrived..... the frosty one had thawed out a lot, maybe she just had a bad day and maybe to make amends, she was kind enough to upgrade us! We had a nice room with a gorgeous view, a comfy bed with tea making facilities. It was a shame the restaurant was closed (Monday's apparently being quiet) and the bar although you could get a drink if you asked. Molly was good with making us dinner reservations and the next day, Inga was very helpful with a late'ish check out. This was supposed to be a four star Hotel, definitely not, but a good three star. Good value at $158 per room per night, but didn't include any breakfast. A nice little break all in all. I would recommend this Hotel, overall.

I generally don't expect much from the restaurant at a hotel, but the food and service at the Jamison Views Restaurant was some of the best I've ever experienced. The scallops or the ravioli were excellent choices in the entree, the main HAD to be the pork, though my eye fillet was delicious, too. Think you've had a sticky date pudding? Think again. Alan gave the entire place a special feel as he caressed the keys, first in the piano bar, then in the restaurant as we ate. We didn't want to retire to our room, such was the experience! The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable (we had the family spa suite, as it was the only room left when we booked), and featured a gas log fire. Breakfast while being the typical bain marie- style fare (obviously not to the standard of the evening meal), was still delicious and filling. It wanted for no options aside, perhaps, for pancakes, and the views of the mist rising out of the valley as you ate relegated the food to secondary in your senses anyway. Loved it and would happily stay again!

Highly recommend the Mountain Heritage for those seeking a few nights away in a lovely old style hotel. The dinners were fantastic and the buffet breakfast was more than ample. Service in the restaurant and reception was great and Valley View room was very good. Free wifi was fast, only complaint was needing to get new access every few hours.

I took my family and another family to The Mountain Heritage Hotel and Spa Retreat for a weekend in the mountains at the beginning of Autumn (Fall). When we entered the reception area we felt as though we were stepping into an era early last Century. The views across the mountain range are stunning, the furnishings are warm and inviting, the fireplace, cosy, elegant sofas and live pianist made me want to sit and sip cocktails for hours. My family was given a downscale room compared to the room of the family we bought along. They stayed two nights and were given a suite with spa bath and fireplace, with a view. My family, on the other hand, were given a spacious room with a good queen sized bed and a sofa bed for our teen. The bathroom was quite small, with a bath but no spa. Our view was beautiful from one window. We only stayed 1 night. We ventured to the Blue Mountains - from Sydney - to take our teens mountain biking. Our stay in the Mountain Heritage made the weekend a real getaway! I would like to return to this privately owned treasure for a longer stay in one of the promised rooms with spa, fireplace and view, in the not too distant future.

To the owners, I am disgusted in the treatment of paying guests at your establishment. The staff are extremely rude and have obviously been in their jobs too long, as even a smile was not achievable. We stayed last month & the receptionist, Molly, had absolutely no customer service & was slamming things down on the bench. The food was cold & tasteless, and when I complained they took no notice, & you could hear the Chef screaming in the kitchen. Before checking out in the morning, the room attendants tried to open the door with their key & we were still in bed & luckily had the double lock on the door. What a shock for us! Breakfast was disappointingly stale, the property is run down & needs renovating and the wifi was non-existent. The stairs were dangerous - where was the lift? How do the elderly get up these stairs? We didn't enjoy our view of the carpark- because they they forgot to mention in the ad. Our sleep was interrupted, with the bed having a join down the middle. Very uncomfortable. On check out, I asked the receptionist to talk to the general manager & she grumpily explained that she didn’t know where he was. I left my contact details, but have not received a call or email from Mr Sward yet, as I explained, I wanted a full refund. Shall not return

Locationwise, it is good. Ten minutes walk to the town center. 8 minutes drive to the Wentworth Falls. 2 minutes drive to Leura. The hotel stands on the top of a little hill, which guarantees a good view over the Blue Mountains. However, the hotel is old. Both the room and the toilet facilities. Air conditioning made big noises over the night. Breakfast is below average. Free WIFI, but our mobile phones (iPhone 7 and iPhone 6) could not find the WIFI signal. Computers could.
