Lithgow Parkside Motor Inn

Our room was really quiet and dark and overall adequate for a mid week night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was adequate but the water to the shower took a bit of effort to get to the right temperature. The towels were quite small.

We stayed here at the Parkside Motor Inn for two nights while visiting family. We were in room 12 which is a small room with queen bed and a single. The place is clean and the staff friendly. Very modest but comfortable. Retro kind of feel, but in a good way. We enjoyed our stay and will probably stay here the next time too.

was comfortable and clean but could have hand towels and when we asked they did not have any they could also supply some crockery and cutlery other than just Mugs and classes. Was in a good position to shops and pubs and clubs

Thank you for the wonderful personal service. The cleanliness was second to none and made my very comfortable . The menu was homely and extensive, and room service was also available. The office was open until 9PM which was important when travellers arrive later. Thank you !!!!

This motel has obviously undergone some renovation so our stay should have been pleasant. Instead it ranks as one of the worst experiences we have ever had in all our travels. The wife was at the counter when we asked for a room and one would have thought she was doing us a favour by taking our money. She offered us a family room at standard rate because all of the standard rooms were occupied. A family room consisted of a tiny space crammed with a queen bed and two bunk beds. There was hardly enough room to move about let alone open our two suitcases. I wonder what a family of four would do for space. The reception was rude and abrupt but we took the room in spite of this. Then, once settled in, we tried to connect with our children via wifi which proved impossible. I went back to the office to ask for assistance and was met by the husband who gave me a rude response and launched into a tirade blaming the other guests for the poor reception. He is operating a modem/router with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, both of which are well received in the room but he won't allow guests to use them. Instead he has a measly "extender" which offered intermittent and "one bar" reception in our room. We gave up not wanting to subject ourselves to any further rudeness. There aren't a lot of motels in Lithgow but if you have a choice, do give this one a miss.

Stayed here in January. The accommodation was clean and comfortable for the budget traveller like me. This was renovated sometimes back and it's in reasonable condition for budget travellers. Customer service could be a bit improved.

Wonderful room, exceptionally clean and well presented. Very quite and no road noise, slept perfectly on a very comfortable bed. Lovely reception staff. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Lithgow and its history was fantastic.

Randomly picked this motel for an overnight stay on the way back to Sydney. The picture of the bar I think did it in the selection process. Overall not too bad, generally met our needs. It was clean and comfortable. The air con was great as it was a mighty hot day. It didn't have wifi like most of the other motels we had stayed in, which the teenage son noted. Also the restaurant / bar wasn't open which was disappointing but ordered a couple of pizzas at reception that were very good. We were given a room in the back which was good, heard a bit of traffic from the main road but really not an issue at all. The warning in the room directory re the sensitivity of the smoke/Fire alarms even from the steam of the shower added a bit of anxiety but all fine.

We book the room "mountain views" but the room was just located at mountain side. No windows on the mountain side so no mountain views at all. We paid a bit more for the mountain views room, so they'd better fix the word "mountain views". It was not true. Beside mountain views, the bed was not firm enough but anything else was good.

This hotel is basic but clean and tidy. It is a great spot for a day or two if your visiting Lithgow. No problems for families. Only issue was the bar was not open for a cold drink, which was disappointing.
