We stayed 5 nights at this hotel for our business in June. There were many different types of food for buffet breakfast. We love amazing swimming pool and rose garden. Location is convenient to the beach. Thanks for your warmly welcoming!
I stayed in this hotel for one week and i can say it totally worth it. The food is awesome as u can have all varieties of vegetables besides there are all types of sweets served . So u can eat healthy n un healthy at the same time! There is an animation team who entertain u everyday with lots of different activities from sports to fun games and so on. The staff are helpful and y can have free drinks anytime during the day. It's located almost near any fun places n u can enjoy ur residence here. Totally recommended.
For the organisation of our meeting the hotel went over and above board to assist us with a smooth trouble-free event. They were always available and ready to find solutions for any unforeseen problems.
The rooms: very spacious, really nice, very clean, cleaning staff doing a very good job! Food: diverse options available, I would add more cooked vegetables and less fried foods, liked porridge for breakfast and lots of fruit every day. Staff: reception staff friendly, but some of the staff working in the buffet restaurant at the grill and young staff at the bar in the main area have been unfortunately quite rude... i.e. making loud comments in Bulgarian in front of the guests, arguing about any "wishes" such as a clean coffee mug or hot water in a glas etc. Besides the fact that some guests even if they ask in English they might just speak other languages and understand some Bulgarian, I think it is really NOT APPROPRIATE for the staff to make loud comments to each other in front of the guests accompanied by a very clear body language or face expression... That really shows lack of respect... :( Btw, a smile doesn't cost anything and if you reply to a guest, could you please say, "I am sorry it is not possible" instead of a big loud "No!"...? I think some staff should be trained to be more polite please. That would really add more charm to the hotel overall. BTW, spa staff are very nice, friendly and professional, thank you! :)
Having never been to Bulgaria before we where hesitant to book after hearing mixed reviews. The hotel is absolutely stunning, beautiful pool and you do have the option to upgrade to Level! Rooms amazing cleaned every day. Able to walk out everyday into the town. My only gripe was the food, please don't be put of by my review as I'm a real fussy eater. The staff behind the lobby bar are superstars, i read a review on here about the staff being rude! Sorry you will find the staff will take no (pardon the French) crap! It's the guests that are rude. Please, thank you and queuing cost nothing! Manners are everything.
On arrival we were very impressed with this hotel. Our room was at the side and we had a sea view, very spacious and comfy. Double sinks in the bathroom and a very large shower with a double shower heads. All the staff were very attentive and only too pleased to make sure your stay was everything you hoped it would be. The restaurant had something for every taste and very good food too. Really recommend this hotel, we were All Inclusive. They even delivered a small cake to my room on my birthday.
Every time it's a pleasure to to return to Melia Grand Hermitage. The staff is very kind and as usual they have welcomed us as loyal customers. This year they have only all inclusive program and a new private pool for the Level customers. As a recommendation, i think it would be nice to arrange a beverage area near the new pool and some tapas in the Lounge. We enjoyed the LEVEL program being MeliaRewards Platinum members. A plus, the food was delicious, diversified and served in a pleasant atmosphere with roses on the table. The waiters were there every time for us (very fast). Many thanks to the Level Manager also! I stayed with my girlfriends for 1 week at the Melia Grand Hermitage, it was great. Mitko was the best entertainer and gave us a very pleasant time. He gave us good advice against and knows the area very well. he really loves his job and has always made us laugh, it never got boring when he was around 👍🏼 .... there should be more of his kind. Thanks for the great time. The entire hotel and the area are very neat and clean. also the food was varied. I would go back there immediately, but a week earlier, there was even more, we were almost at the end of the season.
We stayed at Melia hotel end of August 2017 as a family of 4 ( kids aged 8 and 5 years old). Although this is not the same standard as a 5 star hotel in England like the Ritz, its very clean and the service we received was very good indeed. We had a fantastic stay and overall the hotel, service we received and staff were amazing. Our room was a very good size and was cleaned daily. The whole hotel was kept clean and I always saw staff cleaning etc. The staff were very polite and helpful and the Animation Team were outstanding. They were fantastic with the children and their shows were amazing. They work all day too to entertain us around the pool if we wished. Pool was a good size and although it was a very busy time of year we always managed to get sunbeds around the pool area. Another positive is that the hotel have an indoor swimming pool so if weather isnt good then kids could still go swimming. Food was good although not 5 star standard. Breakfast they made fresh pancakes and proper bacon as well as frying fresh eggs. Lunch and dinner had lots of good choice and we always found something we liked , even for one of my children who is very fussy indeed. A few little niggles are: No private beach area and no evening entertainment for adults. Once the kids show had finished at 10 pm ish there wasnt much going on. A few suggestions would be: a resident band/singer, Karoke nights, quiz nights, even some background music playing around the hotel to name a few. My only one complaint about 1 staff member would be that the guy who was in charge of the zorbing was very dismissive and more interested in his phone when asked price for zorbing. Because of your attitude you missed out on our custom. Overall we really loved this holiday and in the words of my kids ' Best holiday ever'. We are looking to go back next year with friends.
We decided to book up a late holiday at this hotel jjust a few weeks before we travelled. Like many others we had been reading the reviews and had some doubts about going to both the hotel and Bulgaria as we had never been. Basically 1. Lovely hotel and very big rooms 2. Staff were nice and helpful when needed (fixed room safe very quickly) 3. Animation team were great ! They made me laugh every day ! They are stars 4. Sunshine every day 28-30c 5. Food was ok not 5* mitchellin but hey it's mass produced what do you expect! 6. Some of the guests were rude, not the staff (maybe a cultural thing?) 7. Got up at 0800, wander down for breakfast, out to pool at 0900 and loads of sun beds free right next to the pool! No sun bed wars or towels out at the crack of dawn! Would we go back 👍 Did we have a good holiday 👍 Oh the pool was not cold, but it was refreshing at first 🏊
