Great hotel, super friendly staff, close to everything we needed! Thanks for the hospitality!

We stayed at this same hotel four years ago (then the Pickwickian). Good location for UAB medical center and some restaurants/bars very close by. Nice for a night. Seemed to be a large homeless population in the area so don't know how safe walking around this area would be at night but we had no problems.

We had a lovely stay. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The staff was gracious. The room very clean & pretty, but we were cold all night, even though maintenance was called & he worked on it. He brought blankets & a small heater, which helped a lot! We thought $4.00 to park in your deck was ridiculous!

Hotel is in a great location. Room was clean and modern and bed was comfortable. The hotel is old though and the room had a very dated smell and stale air. Hotel staff was accommodating with air freshener but I wouldn't recommend this hotel to people with breathing issues. Other than room smell, no complaints.

Pleasant stay.Location is very near to UAB.Valet parking was great.

Basically, I would rate this as an average hotel. It had everything I expected. It was clean, comfortable. I did not ask for much, but I did get everything I asked. So, it will certainly not disappoint you in this regard. What makes it special? The location! If you want to have a good time in Birmingham, stay here! You can walk to Frank Stitt's restaurants, get a bit sloppy, walk home safely, and enjoy a comfortable bed. When you get to your room, they have king-sized beds in spacious rooms with city views. I will definitely return.

The hotel is an older property but updated very nicely. The entire staff was polite and professional. Located right in the middle of several good restaurants and night life spots. I would recommend this hotel to any one. The room prices were lower than all others we checked which concerned us a little but what a surprise, it was very nice.

Convenience of location in a little gem of an area in Birmingham. Very good restaurants withing walking distance. The staff of the hotel really works hard to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. Helpful, friendly and efficient.

The location of this hotel was perfect for those who want to be able to walk out the door and have lots of options for bars and restaurants. We ended our night at the hotel bar and the bartender was awesome! The room was pretty standard. It was small, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good variety. The only negative was that the elevator in the parking garage was broken, so we had to carry luggage down the steps. I would definitely stay here again.

We loved the 'retro' feel of this hotel. The location is perfect. Walk out the front door into the hip 5 points area, with fun shopping, great restaurants.. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was located in a convenient but trendy neighborhood with lots of great food options which was perfect for us as our stay was only overnight. Staff was very helpful and pleasant. Would stay here again.

Excellent care of guests given by staff. Warm, friendly and professional. Rooms are nice, beds comfortable facilities immaculate. Within a couple of blocks of good restaurants and night life. Small and exclusive feeling to the whole place along with the staff, makes you feel like you have a quiet, undiscovered gem for your stay in Birmingham.

Convenient to all of Birmingham. Very attentive staff. Very clean. Easy parking. Quiet. Just nice!

Great location, walking distance to UAB for those checkout out UAB. And a world of beer is right next door :)

Nice boutique hotel. Rooms very clean and uniquely decorated. Very comfortable bed. Small lobby and bar make it very quaint. The neighborhood around the hotel is more comfortable if you are not traveling alone. I would not want to walk around unaccompanied or go to the adjacent parking garage after dark.

This hotel is really good. The staff is friendly. It has a really good free breakfast in the morning. The only bad part is the location. Five Points just has to many street bums hanging around. The city needs to do something about that. Really, that issue is not the hotel's fault.

We went for a weekend mini va-ca. Service was great from the valet, to the front desk abd bar. Super location. Good breakfast. will stay there again.

When I arrived I was greeted by the lady at the front desk who was very accomodating and friendly. She told me about all of the restaurants and bars located around the hotel and the service was just excellent! I was very impressed with the hotel overall. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable! The hotel bar was amazing and very interesting. The bartender was very friendly. I read reviews about the hotel before going and I found out about the parking deck behind the hotel which was only $4 a day compared to valet parking which would have been $14 so that was a plus. The elevator was broken from the parking deck but that was not an issue only having to walk down two flights of stairs. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Birmingham. The five points area is a great place to stay! I will definitely be back as soon as I can! Thanks!

Fabulous very nice hotel and staff. The area needs too be patrol by police. Lots of bums in the area close by. But lotts of good places to eat and walk. And so many cool shops around. Highland package store has the best selection of wine and beer. Love the hotel they bring you ice. I will visit agin Thank you % point
