dirty tea towel in room, couldn't find my booking, reception staff more interested in their children coming in,, dirty glasses in bathroom. absolutely disgusting for price I paid. had booked a room with confirmation but staff couldn't find it so charged me double again. staff didn't know what to do so were more interested in serving other customers and leaving me standing around like an idiot,, never been treated so bad

A very reasonable last minute price via booking . Com Room was pleasant,clean and had an iron and ironing board. Perfectly adequate for my requirements and well lit large car park felt safe as lone female. Only issue was window that didn’t close fully and hotel is adjacent to busy Wolverhampton Rd, reported this to reception who apologised.

Have stayed here before because of the location and cost. The hotel is ok but needs updating, the carpets in the halls are very poor and need replacing. The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable with a nice bathroom and tea / coffee making facilities. I would stay again but if improvements are not made then I may have to change hotels in the future.

I think that, we have to think twice before booking a hotel by looking its name. I thought that Ramada was a good hotel chain. But realized that it is NOT. The bin at the bathroom was not empty and things inside was from the previous guest.... Terrible

I needed a bed for just one night before an early start at a local camera fair. My favourite hotels were all uncharacteristically expensive for that night and so I booked into this hotel - thinking that Ramada is a well known chain. As soon as I got there my heart sank - I realised that Ramada is a franchise arrangement and that this one was operated by Redwings Lodge. I had the misfortune to stay in one of their hotels in Wolverhampton last year - and I vowed "never again". To be fair the Ramada wasn't quite as terrible as the other hotel but it leaves a great deal to be desired. The good bits: it was cheap, the food was OK, the bed was large and reasonably comfortable. This is a very tired hotel - crying out for refurbishment - which seems to lack proper, professional management. The service in the restaurant was lamentable; I was served by a young girl (who looked about 14) and who didn't have a clue. 20 minutes after I finished my main course she strolled out and took my plate - and disappeared! No "was everything alright with your meal" or even "would you like a desert or a coffee?". I was the only person in the restaurant for virtually the whole time. Lack of management in the restaurant. I had a pint of San Miguel lager in the bar. It was horrible! Why? Apart from failing to keep the pipeworks clean, how do you make a nice lager taste so bad? Lack of care in the bar. The bedroom had stains on the bed clothes, there was a hole in the wall which had received a small amount of filler and then abandoned. The bedside cabinets were manky. Needless to say the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. Lack of management in Housekeeping. My main issue was the total lack of any sound insulation in the rooms. I was woken up pretty well every hour as people came to and left their rooms throughout the night. So much for a good night's sleep before an early start. The next morning, as I checked out, the bloke on Reception was wise enough not to ask if everything was OK. Either he didn't care, or he probably guessed what the answer would be. He pretty well summarised the entire philosophy of the hotel: "who gives a damn!" I would have to be REALLY desperate to consider staying there again.

We stayed here on a Saturday evening as my husband was karting on the Sunday locally and we had an early start . For £59 we had a double room, we were at the back of the hotel, very quiet, bed was comfy and room was clean. Yes the shower probably needed re-sealing and grouting to appear cleaner and the walls were probably ready for a paint throughout but it was fine overall. We were in room 114. Our friends stayed at the front of the hotel but said that it was very noisy from the road. Bar prices seemed very reasonable £5.50 for two bottle beers. Breakfast was £7.50 each, but as we needed early breakfast there wasn't much other choice but expensive if you ask me, there wasn't many pastries, cooked part was fine, not much selection on juices & no bananas! Overall I would say don't listen to the awful reviews like I did, it's not that bad!!!

Need a simple overnighter en route from South Wales back to Yorkshire. The Ramada Oldbury fitted the bill. OK the hotel is in need of a refurb but nowhere near as bad as some reviews have indicated. Excellent reception staff. Room clean and reasonably comfortable. Bathroom area clean. Our room faced rear of hotel therefore we guess quieter than the front although you could hear the drone of traffic from the M5. There is an Aldi & an ASDA next to hotel to get items for the journey...or even for your room. Our room cost was under £45.

I first stopped here 4-5 years ago and remembered the great Indian food that it served, so booked the hotel again despite the many negative reviews. I entered the Hotel with some trepidation but my welcome was friendly and was reassured that the Indian food was of the same standard as the same chef as before was still resident. My room was clean (room 211) but the shower head holder was broken and so the next mornings shower was a one handed affair as I held the shower head with the other one. The décor is poor and tired, and the hotel really does need a refurbishment. Wi-Fi was fine and adequate The Indian food I had was great and did not disappoint, nor did the service or the friendly staff again. Mixed Indian starter and Lamb Rogan Josh were first class. Breakfast the following morning was also very good. So Ramada - my advice is to revamp this hotel and you would have a very good business Hotel and probably get a 5 rating. The hotel is in a great position for the M5 and the surrounding area

I was here 2 night in September 2017 for a business trip. The room and the bathroom were clean. Lights, furniture, curtains ... are old style and everything need maintenance. Breakfast was good, international and quite varied; dinner was a bit too much spicy, lots of Indian kitchen influence. Hotel staff nice and helpful. Price could have been cheaper. Summary: fine for a business trip but hotel needs to be renewed, vote 7,5.

great lamb starter...everything else terrible. broken hinge on window broken toilet seat broken flush broken sink drainage broken light bulbs no batteries in remote not clean empty condom wrappers by bed headrest on floor. only moved cabinet beside this to get access to the plug socket. cancelled second night shocking hotel
