Days Inn West Yellowstone

Recent guest reviews

Clean room, decent bed, friendly front desk staff. Decent enough price for October. Did not eat the breakfast, so no review to offer. Nice size parking lot.

My room stunk like mold. Also if you want to eat breakfast, you have to wait more than an hour because of how busy they can get, I was unable to eat breakfast 2 out of the 3 days that I was there.

I read the reviews before I chose this hotel, and I had a uneasy feeling but I was at crunch time for a place. Price was not my decision, it was availability. The front office staff seemed routine and did not present a positive experience. Office manager thinks they have a secure wifi, I explained to her the difference between a secure and open wifi. She planned to discuss with her manager, never received a followup/or feedback. Breakfast was pretty good, impressed with the customer service by the waitress named Stephanie, she seemed to truly care, not so sure of the other staff.

If pillows are important to you when it comes to a good night sleep, bring your own! It's a decent hotel but they only have big blocks of stuffing for pillows. I asked at the front desk if they had smaller ones and they didn't. I asked if they had that complaint before, they said yes, a few times, but apparently they haven't done anything about it. I was there for two nights and left with a pain in my neck and not well rested for the days ahead at the park.

At 10pm we had to call maintenance to unclog our tub drain. He turned up with a toilet plunger, placed our bath mat on the open toilet and proceeded to use the toilet plunger in the tub. Finally my husband had to tell him it was the linkage on the stopper for the tub that was faulty. The day we left the toilet clogged up. When we had breakfast the tea water was luke warm and the eggs and potatoes cold. For the price we were charged it was a very poor example of American hospitality. You have a lot of Chinese and Indian folk traveling to see Yellowstone and I think you could do a much better job for the money you are charging. The term price gouging comes to mind. Great location, breakfast voucher included, clean room, fast check-in.

I stayed at a Travellers Lodge for one night first. It was awful, old, dirty, unsafe. For the same price the next two nights I had the good luck to choose Days Inn. Clean, safe, a pool for kids, a breakfast etc. For the same price! Looking around West Yellowstone there are a ton of second and third rate hotels that charge top dollar. Because they can, the demand is there. But you, the traveler, fight back. Be choosy, if you can.

The room and staff were great. Pool slide was fun for the kids. They promote a free breakfast, but there were four in our party and they only gave us 2 meal tickets. We had to pay for the other two in our party. My husband also ordered a small orange juice and our 'free' breakfast cost $3.80. The wait staff at the restaurant was wonderful, but I am sure they get very grumpy customers due to the breakfast "code." I would rather have had dry cereal for my entire party, than a hot breakfast for only half of us.

This was one of the only affordable hotels in West Yellowstone and still way over priced. They had a sign that was passive aggressive basically about people who steal their items they will be charged certain prices. I understand people steal but they could have just tagged it on the bill instead of creating a hostile environment. The pillows were TERRIBLE! I brought my own, theirs were lumpy, the bathroom was gross. No tub, the tile was dirty and just really dingy. We only booked here because of the price even though it was still over $200 a night. I book the hilton in SF and it was $120 a night and sooooo nice. Anyways, the choices are slim here. They did have breakfast but charged you so we just brought bagels and fruit. They did have a cool water slide included with the in door pool. Probably the only cool things about this place. Very close to the entrance to Yellowstone.

Granted, we booked late but this place was $250/night. It hurt when I had to pay for 3 days for such a crappy hotel. The hotel is rundown, there's not even a lock on the bathroom door. If we'd paid $75/night it would be okay, but that wasn't what we paid. Thanks to their location they don't have to put much effort into keeping up the hotel.

Wi-Fi can connect, but Internet did not working, the breakfast is too long, so we gave up.

This hotel is very average. My family didn't sleep well, the walls were thin and there was a lot of noise. We did enjoy the water slide. Breakfast was not good and we ended up just going somewhere else in town. Location is the biggest plus.

Hotel is great as you do not have to contend with the crowds in the park and you have everything you need within walking distance with great activities for the kids as well. The water slide is a great feature !!

The Days Inn was OK. Breakfasts were very good. The Town of West Yellowstone is super. Many nice shops and restaurants. Conveniently close to the entrance of Yellowstone Park. The hotel room had no outside windows that could be opened and the air conditioner was extremely loud. The bathroom door wouldn't stay shut.

Hotel was great. Two breakfasts that were complimentary. The hotel had an indoor pool and waterslide which the kids loved.

The only reason the town of W Yellowstone exists is to exploit tourists who couldn't get lodging within the park boundaries. This hotel is old, noisy, and expensive.

A good simple hotel. Large rooms, nothing fancy for sure. So convenient to all places in town and the Park entrance. An awesome breakfast restaurant attached to hotel with fast, fast service and good hot food & Coffee.

Perfect location and great vacation base. Terrific family hotel with an indoor pool and an awesome 100' water slide. Great value. Breakfast package is excellent and served so quick it is hard to believe. Great Coffee!!

We really enjoyed winding down with the pool/waterslide in the evening before bed. The room was OK, typical with what I pay $60 in Bozeman. I'm glad I got a discount because I would have been irritated to have paid full price +$100 for the room. The staff was very nice and the free breakfast was excellent. All in, I would have happily paid $85 with the amenities, but not $110.

The room is too small and not comfort, facility is too simple compared with the value to spend, the breakfast is not good as expected, not so much choice. The door is not easy to close and very noisy.

Thank you for posting your comment review and that you mentioned "Good: Room was clean, and breakfast. I'm sorry to hear the sound of the pool waterslide was bothersome in the evening, this is why we do enforce pool hrs to be closed 10:00 pm on a nightly basis. Thank you for your concerns to the Wi fi. We are promptly looking into any technicalities, as we want every guest to have good, quality, speed and securities.

Thank you for your comments and concerns. I'm sorry to hear our pillows. Everyone seems to like different styles to sleep on. We had someone just last week that wanted to buy 2 of them from us. I do hope you had a nice time visiting Yellowstone. Thank you for staying with us.

Days Inn, Yellowstone staff would like to thank you for posting a positive star review for us. I'm happy to know the staff was great and the room, and you enjoyed the pool and waterslide area. Upon check in, yes we do give each room 2 breakfast entrée coupons daily to each room. All drinks are at a cost, except coffee is complimentary. I'm glad to hear the wait staff was wonderful and I will let them know. It does get very busy for them every am and they do their best to keep everyone happy. Thank you, Manager, Britt C.
