Our first night in the cabin was fine. When I woke up the next morning, it was a whole other story. There were large bugs crawling all over the bedroom I was sleeping in! The bugs were on the beds, pillows, walls, and floor. We decided that because there were so many bugs crawling around the cabin there was no way we would be able to sleep there that night. I texted Stacey, the manager, and she said that they had sprayed the cabin the week before and even the day we checked in, for the bugs. She said they knew the bugs were a problem and offered to have someone come spray the cabin again that day. I have allergies and I have 2 little kids and the last thing I want is for them to be exposed to more harsh chemicals. So, we packed up our things and were out by the check-out time that day. Stacey said we would get a refund or discount because of the bug situation but had to speak with her supervisor. The next day she told me bugs are to be expected in Big Bear and since the bugs were not bed bugs or spiders, they're under no obligation to give us a discount or refund. I’m okay with a bug here and there, but not bugs everywhere! The room was infested. We physically could not sleep in the beds because there were bugs crawling all over the place and they refused to give us a refund for the night we didn’t stay there. Stay here at your own risk. The owners don’t care – they just want your money.

Me and my girlfriend have stayed at this cabin twice now and have enjoyed our stay. Only thing I could complain about is this place needs to be properly clean, I saw dust all over the place and fan. Spider webs all over & even a spider in our bed which left us a bit paranoid that night. Overall it's a great cabin but needs to be cleaned & worked on a bit more. The hallway lighting doesn't work, the front door is really hard to lock etc just needs maintenance.

I felt like I was home. The jacuzzi was super nice.

Dave met us right as we pulled up for quick and easy check in. ...convenient location and not in the mix of all the more commercial cabins which we were very happy about. ..very nice for evening walks....close the windows up at night unless you want to hear some of the truly wild critters running/rummaging throughout the neighborhood...we actually enjoyed the sounds of nature and kept the windows open. ..great stay and our kids loved it too!
