Convenient location, Spacious rooms, friendly staff and sumptuous breakfast. Internet is spotty....needs upgrade. Water needs treatment....difficult to remove soap/lather once it is applied on the body.
We stayed here last year for our annual wheeling event and will definitely stay here again! The desk staff was more than accommodating when we were checking in, I didn't realize that all the rooms don't have refrigerators so if that's important to you make sure you note that on your reservation. Also, some of the rooms are close to the freeway and you can hear the trucks going by. When we stayed here last year our room was not as close to the road and we didn't hear any noise. The only reason this hotel didn't get a 5 from me is because the furniture is starting to show its age and there aren't refrigerators in every room. It would also be nice if they had microwaves in the rooms too, these little changes would make it a 5 for sure. The breakfast is the best complimentary breakfast I've ever seen at a hotel, there was so much variety, our first morning there was sausage and eggs the second morning they had bacon and eggs. There are waffles, several different types of muffins, cereals, yogurts, bagels, and fruits every morning. Overall this is a great place to stay.
I have been staying at this hotel for at least the last 6 years... prices are up at least 50%.. (in the season) Had a full weekend booked and only got to check in a 5pm this last Friday?? Really? Housekeeping was 'busy'? Bad planning is my only thought.Breakfast has gotten better (it had to right?) Rooms are comfortable and what one should expect for this class of hotel... Personally I only stay here when no other choice is available. Having the Midway diner next door does make it palatable.....
We stayed here on our way to Hershey PA. Got there late and left very early so we did not want to spend a lot of money on a room. We will not stay here again. The staff was nice, the bed was comfortable, the room was OK clean. The problem was the rooms we booked both smelled so musty I can still smell the smell! I'm not a picky person - I tell my family - you'll get used to it....not this time!
As Comfort Inns go, I've seen better, I've seen worse. This one is more good than not. The rooms are spacious with multiple places to use the computer, fully contained bathroom and not that hideous sink-in-the-bedroom setup. Rooms do not have mini-fridge or microwave. Pool area looked nice but no spa. Breakfast was the minimum--could not find sugar-free waffle syrup or genuine butter or anything beyond the minimum eggs-sausages-make-your-own waffles-cold options. Satffwas quite friendly and helpful at check-in. The architecture here makes me wonder if this was once a La Quinta and ownership got a different franchise? At any rate, I found some parts didn't fit--for example, to plug in the laptop it was necessary to move the desk out to reach the plug that was buried behind it. Minor shortcomings only; a good place to ssleep.
The woman who checked us in was the best! She was quick and efficient - and discreet. By that I mean there were folks in line and she didn't shout out our personal business like how much we were paying for the room, etc. I liked her. The next morning the woman who checked us out was also nice. But that's it. The room was shabby. The furniture is worn and nicked. The carpet is worn out and I wore socks because it looked dirty even though it may not have been. The bathroom was okay. I was very surprised that there was no refrigerator at least. No microwave. Not much in the way of any amenities in the room. In the entire hotel there wasn't a single working ice machine. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable to me, and it was quiet. But I was glad to leave and I wouldn't stay there again. It was not up to Choice hotel standards in my opinion.
We happened to arrive early, we stopped to see if the room was ready. They found a room that was and allowed us to occupy early. I enjoyed the complimentary lemon water. The breakfast was just enough for us.
This place is in farm country. The manure smell outside the hotel and in the corridors was strong but our room was clean enough and did not smell. The receptionist had no personality whatsoever but was not really rude. Internet was extremely spotty and frustrating. The hotel was cheap but even so, we'll probably stay elsewhere next time.
First, we want to say that the FRONT DESK STAFF WAS OUTSTANDING, but that's where it ended. The room was very outdated, carpet dirty, bedding cheap, old and faded. Bathroom was okay. Not spotless since the fixtures and grout all need replacing, which makes it's impossible to looks clean. We stay in many Comfort Inns during our travels and are usually pleased. Reasonable rates and clean room. We are not looking for 5 star hotels for overnight stay when on the road, but we do expect updates made as needed and clean. This had neither.
The receptionists were both lovely. Very nice. The accommodations (specifically the upkeep and cleanliness) were lacking. There was a coating of ...something.... on every desk/dresser surface in the room, the toilet was leaking from the floor, the shower didn't drain, and I felt like I needed to wear socks at all times. I have stayed in Comfort Inns many many times, and stayed in a Quality Inn in Clarion, PA not even a week before (same parent company), so I figured I knew what I was in for. This was not it. I don't understand how they can justify the $118 price tag for accommodations that weren't even mediocre.
