It is the second time we have been there with my big family, this time with the new comer my puppy Bobtail as we love walking in the mountains and Adelboden is perfect for that. The selection of the hotel is extremely important as after a long day of walk there is nothing better than some relaxation time and The Cambrian offers all of it. Indoor swimming pool, outdoor “spa pool”, fitness, massage... you name it. The bar is very nice with a good selection of cocktails and beautiful view on the mountains and the we’ll know waterfall. The rooms are modern, a lot of space and balcony. In the heart of the village and with parking so once you arrive you can forget your car. They welcome dogs and they really love them.
Everything was impressive- breakfast (and the coffee!) the staff, facilities and the view except for the last few hours of our stay. We asked for a bottle of water but was advised of a fee (can’t recall how much) and we declined it. The receptionist said it’s for the “room service fee” which sounded funny and inappropriate. Upon check out, the staff at the reception offered two bottled water for us to bring. Will still be back despite the small hiccup.
A great property with a view that needs no words. It does a lot with the relatively small space including 2 pools, small gym and a clothing free area with a sauna and reading room. Service was top-notch for a hotel of this type. My only criticism (a subjective one) is that the design is a bit too 'instagrammable'. It feels like the modernization of a Swiss Chalet gone a bit too populist. Otherwise I would not hesitate to go back.
The Cambrian Adelboden is an epic Swiss hotel that has become very popular with travel bloggers and Instagrammers alike who flock here drawn by the incredible views from its now legendary outdoor thermal pool. Today the Cambrian Adelboden is a contemporary, design hotel that is full of stylish decorative details. I had a standard double room with a spectacular view over the mountains and a lovely balcony. It was super comfortable and modern, with soft and fluffy bedding. The ensuite bathroom was equally spacious, with a light, beige mosaic floor and a large walk-in shower. I loved the good quality and attractive amenities by fashion designer Orla Kiely. The fabulous outdoor thermal pool is this hotel’s outstanding feature, the views from the pool over the mountains surrounding Adelboden are simply magical. The design and facilities of the spa are definitely worthy of a five-star hotel. There's a super slick 11 x 5 meter indoor pool with a funky ceiling embedded with Swarovski crystal LED lights, a large and very stylish wet area complete with steam room and sauna. There are also lovely gardens with hammocks to lounge around in. It also offers a small, but well-equipped gym and a suite of treatment rooms. The Cambrian Adelboden is a really beautiful hotel with fantastic facilities and outstanding service.
This hotel was absolutely amazing. Staff service was impeccable. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms, and we're still greeted with an amazing view. This hotel is set up for you to enjoy areas outside your room. There's a beautiful lounge area with fire places and balcony to sit in awe, with a glass of wine and admire the view after a day hiking or spent in the spa. The pool that looks out over the mountains is small, but well maintained and the view is mind blowing. They also have a beautiful spa area with steam rooms, and sauna which we found extremely enjoyable. If you're from Australia or a similar location, brace yourself for how expensive Adelboden is, food, drinks, hiking passes - everything is extremely overpriced. Wouldn't change anything though, these views and this experience was one of the best of my life. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this place to friends and family.
This is a great hotel. It's within walking distance to several restaurants and a grocery store (even in the off season). The restaurant food was nice and you can't beat the view from the lobby. We were lucky enough to have a few minutes to ourselves in the infinity pool, but it can become rather crowded at times. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, but the carpets/walls could use a little sprucing up. The staff were very friendly and definitely willing to go the extra mile. We would stay here again.
First of all I would like to say thank you to all hotel staff for being so professional, kind, friendly and warm welcoming! Hotel property is new, beautiful, with amazing mountain views from the hotel bar, restaurant, lobby as well as hotel rooms. Rooms are spacious, cozy, modern, neat and clean. Really good breakfast as well as huge variety of drinks in the lobby bar. SPA area is clean and well maintained. Only possitive emotions! Thank you all hotel staff very much once again, we will never forget your kind welcome!
This hotel was the perfect base for a trip into the Swiss Mountains! Very nice hotel, lovely surroundings, comfy beds, luxury shower and toiletries! Staff were friendly and helpful! We had a four person chalet style room, with an upstairs bedroom and a balcony! The views from the balcony were incredible! Breathtaking! The hotels spa and pool facilities were also amazing! Heated infinity pool overlooking the mountain vista! Breakfast was an impressive array, plenty of different cheese options in traditional Swiss style! Again incredible views whilst eating! Would definitely recommend this hotel!
It was our second stay at the Cambrian. The hotel is stunning. The suit was big and with a huge terrace with the mountain view. The room was clean, with complimentary water, fruits, toileteries. There is a fridge, hairdryer, bathrobes, waterboiler, coffee machine, safe, etc. As we travelled with our newborn baby, we got the baby bed. The breakfast buffet is very good, has both warm and cold dishes. The pool and the sauna are amazing. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will return.
Great hotel. Service was very good and friendly. The decoration of the hotel was a mix of design and coziness, there was a room in the front which was part of the bar, with couches and lazy chairs, great room for relaxing with a great view! The rooms were nice and very clean, loved the bed!! Wish i stayed more than just one night. And finally the breakfast was excellent as well
