Hamilton Princess & Beach Club - a Fairmont Managed Hotel

One of the best Hotels in Hamilton. The new Marcus restaurant located in the hotel is excellent. Great location. Great pool and amazing private beach club which you can get to via hotel shuttle. Only downside is the insanely high prices at the spa $180 for a massage :/. Make sure you stay in one of the renovated rooms they are much nices.

Great hotel; beautiful and with attentive professional staff.

We arrived at the Hamilton Princess, excited about the beautiful renovated rooms, infinity pool, and beautiful beach. The infinity pool is gorgeous -- it is a saltwater pool, but the salinity level was very low and it was so warm, so it was very comfortable to swim in. The pool was the best part. Everything else disappointed us. When we arrived we were placed initially in an unrenovated room, which was not what we had booked. After complaining they moved us to a renovated room. The room was fairly small, bathroom was tiny without a tub (only a standup shower), and the door to the bathroom was sliding from the ceiling with an at-least 1/2 inch gap between it and the wall. So any sounds from the bathroom can easily be heard outside -- very poor planning. Furniture was already chipped, despite being new. Hallways outside the room were narrow and had no artwork. Overall, not very pleasant, and certainly not worth the cost. Was the quality of a room you would expect in a 3-star hotel at best. The manager, however, was very receptive and moved us to a suite, which was large, lovely, and had a full bathroom. The beach is FAR away, a 25 minute ride from the hotel. They have free shuttles, but they only run once an hour during the weekend, and during the week only every 2-3 hours. Not convenient at all. We didn't even go. The restaurant Marcus was overpriced and also not worth the money. The hotel is close to Hamilton but it is a 10 minute walk. A shuttle would have been nice.

This was a great experience…my room was newly renovated and beautiful, the hotel amenities were lovely. My only complaint was the beach club. It was not as nice as the photos look online. Everything else to do with the hotel itself was so nice that I would still go back there anyway.

My husband and I celebrated our 26th anniversary with a stay at the Hamilton Princess Aug 28 2015 - Sept 6, 2015. Our room faced a narrow part of the harbour which was quaint in the evening with a nice breeze on our somewhat tiny balcony which was just big enough for two chairs. We found the bed a bit firm for our liking but other than that the room amenities were quite sufficient for our stay. We spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub just off the gorgeous infiniti pool facing the harbour. The hotel is centrally located a short walk from everything .... shopping, bus terminal, ferry station. We bought 7-day bus passes which got us around Bermuda by both bus and ferry. The staff at the hotel were very attentive with a kind greeting every time. A special shout-out to Trevor at the infiniti pool who had a warm smile and good conversation for us when we saw him. Kudos to Cathy at the front desk who made our anniversary very special!

Amazing layout. Stunning views. Recently re-modeled infinity pool, overlooking the gorgeous Hamilton Harbor. Multiple dining options. Friendliest folks. Donna (Concierge) and Carvel (Singing Doorman) were a few favorites, but there were many others.

Nice hotel and amenities, but wanted beach. good location, safet to walk to many places and take local transportation

The Hotel remodel was incredible but the false advertising of the new Princess Beach Club which was not yet open was completely unacceptable. I am sure guests this week will be amazed. I expressed my objections to the concierge desk and no remedies for me or my wife were provided. We had stayed in the past at the hotel and used the South Hampton property almost daily for Beach access. We expected even better based on the Website (I screen printed to prove the false advertising) of the new Beach Club and celebrity chef restaurant. It is not acceptable to terminate the existing Beach access (with a Fairmont property no less) prior to the new Beach Club going live the week after we departed. This was the difference between a fantastic experience and a very disappointing experience in this regard. How could you advertise The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club when your guest have no access to a Beach. The hotel is phenomenal, this situation was not. I expect a response to the very basic question and complaint.

the hotel locates in the center of Hamilton City. Everything is convenient and it is not far to yard and bus station. Although it is not close to the beach, its still worth for travelers to enjoy a Bermudaful Life

Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room. Located within walking distance to multiple attractions.

Bermuda is clean, prosperous, friendly and beautiful. This hotel is right in the heart of everything, very convenient to Hamilton. The staff were very attentive and helpful. A free ferry will take you to the beach. One wing of the hotel is undergoing remodeling, so the wonderful Christmas buffet we expected was not available. It will be back on completion of the remodeling. On Christmas eve, a pianist played in the lobby which was very nice. The only thing I would mention negatively is that they try to charge you for Internet access, which seems like a penny-ante thing to do. Most everywhere has free Internet now. Even in Bermuda, we stayed at a B&B two Christmases ago that had free Internet.

The newly renovated Fairmont Hamilton Princess is even more spectacular than when we visited five years ago. There are many more rooms and a spectacular infinity pool with views of the harbor. 1609, a new open-air bar and restaurant on the water, was a spectacular place to hang out, have a drink and watch the sunset before dinner. Hamilton, its fabulous restaurants - do not miss the old-fashioned Italian restaurant Portofino - and the bus and ferry terminals are just a short walk away. The Fairmont Southampton Princess's beach on the south shore is just a short ferry ride across the harbor and a trolley ride over the hill. Our only complaints were a bedside telephone that did not work and a bathroom door that did not latch (and needed to be wedged closed with a towel!). Most of the staff was very warm and friendly, and the staff at The Waterlot Inn Restaurant even presented us with a handmade 25th Anniversary card. Over all, people are Bermuda's greatest natural resource. They really seem to love living on the island and are happy to offer directions and amusing stories to tourists. No one should miss the tour and the tales offered by Hamilton's Town Crier, Ed Christopher, commencing at City Hall every weekday at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. during tourist season.

Hotel was beautiful! Staff went above and beyond to accomodate us! We did have some issues with our first   room losing lights in the bathroom but they moved and upgraded us and then everything was perfect! The staff was so helpful and pleasant.

we stayed in a section called the bermudian and not the main hotel which i thought we were staying in. we were on the first floor and had a view of nothing basically except the people sitting at the infinity pool. we were very much on display for them. also there was only a sliding glass bathroom door with no lock. other than that it was very nice but i wouldnt stay again.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at the Hamilton Princess. It is very conveniently located on the edge of the Hamilton shopping and dining district. It has a beautiful pool overlooking Hamilton Harbor, and there is a ferry from the hotel to its sister hotel the Fairmont Southampton which has a lovely beach on the ocean. My only complaint is that the wifi is a little touchy, but we were able to use it. It just isn't as seamless as it should be. The staff is very friendly and the balcony adjoining our room was spacious. I highly recommend this hotel.

An extremely well run hotel with a lovely setting, attentive staff and clean rooms. Lots of outdoor areas for enjoyment>

The Hamilton Princess is a great hotel. We were there last year and returned again this year. The hotel was busy this year with a lot of kids because of a sailing competion but it was still nice. What makes this hotel is the staff especially at Harley's, the restaurant in the hotel. The waitors are the best! They are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is good too, especially the Banana Bread French Toast. The hotel is in walking distance to the down town area, and they have a ferry that takes you to their sister hotel which is on the beach. I was disappointed with the Internet service it was very slow and at times we couldn't get on. I hope they correct this problem soon. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Always a great experience. We love going for a long weekend. Been staying at this hotel for several years now and for us it's the perfect location. A short walk to shopping and dining and we love to rent a scooter to visit the beaches and attractions. Very clean and safe.

We were treated like Royalty at the Hamilton Princess Hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was well cared for and had a great view of the harbor, and the hotel grounds were beautifully groomed. We ate most of our meals at the hotel restaurants and were very happy with the food and service. We will definitely return to the Princess for our next vacation trip to Bermuda.

Had a wonderful time at the Princess. A little overpriced though.
