Hotel is great for a long weeeknd. Front desk staff is very accommodating; however, the wait staff was hit or miss. It's walking distance to some tourist attacttions, blue hole and crystal caves, and has water activities at the resort, including its own cave to dive in. 5 minute cab ride from the airport, can't actually hear the planes though which was good.

Just returned from a 4 day stay at this resort for our 1 year anniversary. Would LOVE to return!! Such a nice resort, only a 5 minute drive from the airport. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Pro's: -well-kept property -overall very friendly staff -beautiful blue beach water in a huge bay/cove type area, so there are no waves (which I see as a pro) -Trampoline in the beach, kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling all included if you get the all-inclusive option -Property has a cave on site, and an awesome massage area in a cave -Food all VERY good! Con's: -Rooms a LITTLE dated - nothing super fancy but are clean and nice! -All inclusive option includes breakfast, lunch and dinner .. Not really a full open area where you can go and order snacks, you are only allowed 3 'dining experiences' a day. First day there we were told that the lunch is open til a certain time, so on our 3rd day we went in the last hour of lunch (where it is a limited option) and the waiter gave us a hard time saying only new arrivals are allowed for the last hour of lunch. No one told us that, but he was visibly annoyed at us and said it's the rules and we should have known. He did serve us, but made us feel bad about it. A separate day we went just for an appetizer (as the all inclusive includes an app/main/dessert per person, and we went to an early lunch and only got 1 app), and a separate waiter told us we're not allowed to dine twice

It has been a phenomenal experience as it's our first holiday in an Island and also it's our first ever such trip. The whole plan of going to Bermuda till returning back has been smooth as a icecream and planning with Orbitz has been really helpful. If you have some basic understanding then planning your own would help otherwise Orbitz is of great help in planning the good possible deal. Bermuda is a great place to visit atleast once. We indeed had great time.

We love this place because of its close access to beautiful beaches and reasonable rates (for Bermuda). Its not super fancy but it is well maintained and the staff is pleasant. We have been coming here for years. They recently implemented a shuttle to the beaches on Coopers island, which is fantastic because taxis are increasingly hard to get in Bermuda. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it was excellent.

Great facility. Beautiful bay with exceptional clear blue waters. Food was very good, but we wish there was a bit more to do during the evenings. Overall, excellent stay!

Late scheduled quick trip. These was the perfect place All inclusive and great beach, great toys, CAVE and Floating Spa. Very good food and booze. Bermuda!!

Fantastic vacation spot!! Good value. Great location.

This was by far the best place to stay on the island. The staff were excellent, the food delicious, and close to the airport. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We just got back from a wonderful and relaxing vacation at the Grotto Bay Resort. The hotel is great and is the only all inclusive resort in Bermuda. ! The grounds are beautiful lay kept. It is located on the beach and the water is gorgeous. The staff is so nice and they can't do enough for you. The rooms are nice and have a gorgeous views. We did the all inclusive plan and it was great! The food was excellent and the alcohol was good too! Dinner and lunch were sit down and the wait staff was awesome! Breakfast was buffet style. All 3 meals had food galore! The all inclusive package also includes kayaks, paddle boards, and rafts. The hotel is for everyone, families, honeymooners, couples. All and all you can't go wrong with this hotel!

love the location and convenience great access to beach

booked 6 months in advance- Kings requested for 3 rooms. Not one of us got them. Had to sleep in doubles. Rooms are old and not well maintained; cracks in floor tile, cracks in tub. Some of the rooms have concrete balconies that are so high, they leave you feeling closed in.

The location is beautiful and if you are looking to be right on the beach and only have to walk a few steps for food - this is great. The location is also very convenient to the airport. Three different restaurants on site - all decent and so you don't need to even go very far to eat. A very chill environment. A good value - even the all-inclusive seems like a good value though we didn't do that. Some folks have complained about the facilities being old, but I saw lots of construction and renovation underway....which leads me to the less pleasant aspect of the trip. With all the renovations there are dozens of sloppily dressed young men wandering around the resort. Being a group of three women traveling alone, it felt a bit uncomfortable to constantly be passing large groups of young men (kinda working, kinda congregating). One day when I was at the desk, a police detective was waiting in front of me to see a manager (!!!) that raise alarm bells for me and I googled Grotto Bay crime and eventually found a report that there was a recent sex assault ( I am not supposed to post websites here, but see for yourself) Now that incident doesn't seem to be why the detective was there that day, but it heightens my suspicion that this hotel may not be 100% safe. Locks on the doors are weak and I generally felt a bit uncomfortable with all those young men everywhere. Even on the way to the beach bathroom, you have to squeeze by a bunch of men doing work to get to an isolated bathroom

GREAT RESORT TO KICK BACK AND RELAX IT WAS BEAUTIFUL .EASY BUS SERVICE IN TO TOWN ,FERRY TO NAVY YARD WAS GREAT ROOMS AND THE VIEWS ARE GREAT .WE WERE TREATED LIKE KING AND QUEEN .WILL GO BACK AGAIN THANKS GROTTO BAY .

A very relaxing trip. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel is family friendly. No need to change your U.S. dollars (dollar for dollar). Neitra is a pleasant lady working at the front desk. All-inclusive package is offered at the front desk for your convenience but not necessary. You have a variety of eatery just a bus away. The location is very convenient to all. Down the block you have the restaurant Swizzle if you don't want to eat at the Hotel's restaurant. Right across the street from Swizzle you have the cave tours ($22 guided tour) and ice cream parlor. It's easy to navigate around the island. Everything is a bus stop away ($2.75 / $4.50 depends on zone). Head to "the square" on a Saturday where you will find a lot of tourist attractions. On a Sunday take the bus to the ferry and head out to the Dockyard. Dockyard is cultural rich. You can learn a lot about the island of Bermuda by visiting the museum and other historic buildings well in Dockyard. Last ferry leaves at 5:30 p.m. Bermuda is a very clean island. Everyone you meet greets you with a friendly hello and how are you doing today? Great place for everyone.

Hotel has individual lodges of about 15-20 rooms. Hotel in on a cliftside so be prepared to walk up hill eveytime to get to the main dining area. March is not a good time to visit: hurricane winds and lots of rain with a low temp of 48-56 degrees F. Cave (cathedral) in the resort was the nicest feature and you can swim in there with a wetsuit. Jacuzzi was well hot and needed. Guess were all taking turns and waiting to get in. Hotel need another jacuzzi. Pool on our first two days was lukewarm and you can swim for a short time but because of the winds and the cold temp, it was uncomfortable being in the pool. In hot weather the beach there would be nice to sit on. Some staff not very friendly and insist on puntuality and nonsense rules which is not hospitality; the business they are in. 17%gratuity is included with everything including a cup of tea. Food there is generic. Hotel grounds clean and nice plants. No activities at the hotel so you must get a bus pass or rent a scooter or get a taxi. Not a kid friendly hotel: struggle on the hill with stroller, have to lift the stroller up the stairs to the room every time, and bringing it on the bus is a nightmare. Crystal cave and Swizzle Inn restaurant a easy five minute walk.

A friend and I went to the resort during the winter, and it was an amazing experience! All of the staff that we came in contact with made us feel welcome and like they had known us for years. David, Charlie, Wayne, Neitra- All amazing at their jobs and very helpful 100% of the time. The all inclusive plan is the only way to go when staying there; it was amazing to go and not have a care in the world. We had a minor problem with our room keys, and it was able to be handled in a matter of minutes; all without any stress. I came home and told everyone how wonderful it was, and I am already looking forward to my trip back next year!

Loved it Wld always come back Great staff Nice environment Nice scenery Soo relaxing

I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. It is closer to the airport which is a bit of a drive from Downtown Hamilton but it was worth it. The view was great. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and VERY friendly. The bartender had parties every night with a great DJ. The pool was clean and heated for the winter months. I truly enjoyed staying their and will choose that hotel again when I go back to Bermuda. This is coming from one that travels a lot and have seen the good and bad in hotels. It was my first time staying there and I highly recommend it.

All of my family really enjoyed our stay there - Location in reference to the airport and the town of St. George, was excellent. The hotel itself was very clean and up to date. All of the hotel staff, in particular June in hotel services, were very accomadating and made our stay truly enjoyable - They would make all of the other wonderful people of Bermuda that we met on the island there - Very proud!

Grotto Bay is perfectly located -- on a bay, close by bus to both Hamilton and St. George's. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent (the lunch buffet is an especially good deal). The rooms are clean and comfortable. We have been there six years in a row and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
