We come here for the amazing uncrowded private beach. t might not be the most luxurious hotel, but if your priority is the beach, it has a very tranquil private beach just steps from your room. All rooms have a fantastic balcony ocean view. It is also closer to Hamilton than many other hotels, so you can easily go for shopping, lunch or dinner.

Loved it, quiet and lovely. Staff very friendly, close to everything. Would go back in a minute.

Stay could not have been better... we have been to island many times but this was the best...

Friendly staff, clean room with a wonderful view, easy bus rides into Hamilton and both ends of the island

Dated hotel right on the beautiful elbow beach. Room was clean and view is fabulous! We walked elbow beach every day and swam out to the reef. Supermarket is 1/2 mile walk down the road next to the bus stop. Best hotel at a reasonable price near Hamilton. Waking up every morning staring at the sun rising over the ocean while having coffee in bed. Unobstructed view.

Great view of ocean from room. Plan to return here again.

When I first checked in I was given a room that was somewhat aged. I made a call to front desk and they moved me to a great unit over looking the beach and ocean. All the meals were outstanding and service was 4 star. Would recommend this unit to friends and family.

Very comfortable Hotel and staff, but needs more amenities like water available all the time in the lobby rather than asking all the time and needs a beach bar or staff to service you on the beach.

Beautiful view very helpful staff. The wifi needs improvement in the WIFI rooms could not receive signal had to go to lobby Food excellent. Needs more beach umbrella Cruise ship guest take all location early in morning. None available to hotel guests. Overall would we would returne.

My wife & I are from N.J., which means means less than two hours in the air. The trip was in April which means not peak time so we breezed through the airport in Bermuda. The room was available on arrival & without our asking they upgraded our room. From our bed we could view the ocean, view beautiful sunrises. The room was clean & functional. A.C worked fine. The wifi in the room was good for reading & sending emails but forget about streaming any video content. The restaurant had a great full breakfast fo $20. The Elbow beach resort next door alsohad two good restaurants. To get to other eateries you needed to hike up the hill(about a quarter mile)to South road. Travel left a short distance there is a diner called Paraquet which has lower prices than the resort restaurants. Travel to the right a short distance there is a small supermarket. To the right a short distance there is a bus stop where you can get the # 7 bus that will take you to several really nice beaches(horseshoe bay, church bay), Gibbs hill lighthouse(which also has reasonably priced souvenirs) & ends at the Royal Navy dockyard. On the opposite side of the street from that bus stop you can get the #7 to Hamilton. In You can buy bus passes at the desk. The bus going to Hamilton has a pink pole. Buses going away from Hamilton have blue poles. You can catch a bus to anywhere at the Hamilton bus terminal. The beach at the resort has greatt snorkeling just a few feet from shore. At the time of our trip there were more than enough chairs & umbrellas. You will not hear the roar of boat engines on this beach, just the gentle sound of waves crashing on rocks. The begining of April is a great time to come to Bermuda if you want to avoid the crowds. We often had our own private beach & were the only patrons at restaurants. If you want a nice relaxing vacation, this resort is a very good choice.

Our room was categorized as ocean view and was about $30 a night less than a beach front view room. Our room's view was the stuff dreams are made of, a horizon-wide eyeful of sparkling turquoise water peppered with long stretches of natural reef barriers and volcanic rock outgrowths in the water with waves breaking white and foamy at times. We had easy access to Bermuda's famous, incomparable Elbow Beach, a convenient 2 minute walk from our room down a staircase on the hotel's grounds. With the exception of one employee working at the front desk who seemed unhappy and was not-friendly, the rest of the staff we interacted with regularly was incredible. Special kudos to Steve, who takes care of just about everything from luggage to maintenance repairs; Melissa, a kindred spirit who briefed me on animal practices in Bermuda; and Kerrie and Jokita, who wentout of their way to review things to do and see on the island, how to best get around, and on our last night, Jokita even called our room to ask if we needed her to call a cab to the airport.

This is a very nice, low-key resort with local character in an unbeatable location. Fabulous views from throughout the property, gorgeous beach. Very friendly staff from the reception, housekeeping, restaurant, etc., etc , gave excellent service. We wanted a place to just relax, and this fit the bill perfectly. Food here was very good. It was expensive everywhere, with nothing inexpensive that we could find. There is a grocery store nearby, which provides some options. Also nearby is the Bermuda Railroad Trail, if you're looking for a place to walk. The main roads are not very pedestrian-friendly, so this was very useful to us looking for some exercise. Hamilton is also not far. All of the other guests we talked to had been there before. Many had been coming for years, which I think says a lot. We enjoyed our stay very much !

very nice hotel with good amenities, right next to Elbow beach - the best swimming place on the island

Loved it. I would stay there again. Close to beach...Staff was great.

We stayed in a beachfront room in the 100 block spectacular view. We had lunch once and breakfast 3x at the restaurant on-site food was very good and comparable price-wise to other dining establishments on the island. One thing I was impressed with overall in Bermuda was the dining - food presentation was very nice and everything was very fresh. The staff at CoCo Reef were always pleasant and helpful, and made our stay enjoyable. My only complaint with the accommodations was that I found a couple of unknown long hairs on our bedding when checking in. Overall good stay and would recommend CoCo Reef to others.

very nice for the price, close to town, taxis available and on the bus route, near stores and restuarant, nice beaches

Coco Reef is a 4*, located about 15-20 min from major city Hamilton where most of attractions are. Taxi is a little expensive $20-30/trip, you can catch public bus for about $3, it runs average every 30 min. I reserved a beach-front room, it's worth it, private beach is very nice. Btw, since everything are imported so it's expensive.

Very nice hotel and location cant be beat. The staff was very accommodating. The food at the hotel was also very good. I would return back to this hotel.

Great private beach, great location. Shabby chic hotel. Great value.

After reading through all the reviews on this property, my wife and I were on the fence. There were so many great reviews, but then a number of unflattering ones. But in the end, we decided to go for it, simply because of the location. Are we glad we did! The positives to this property are: - Location, location, location: right on the ocean with its own beach, all rooms have a fantastic view. Some rooms you can walk right out to the beach (anything in the 100 range, like 101-105, etc). The restaurant also has a decent view. It's also right next door to Elbow Beach, a property which costs more than twice what Coco Reef charges. But, you have access to their restaurants and night clubs if you want them. - Decent snorkeling - Grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped - Buildings are well-maintained - Rooms are clean, bed was comfortable - Heated pool with a nice sitting area -10 minute walk to a nice market, as well as the bus stop - Staff was pleasant and helpful. We had dinner there on our last night, and enjoyed it very much. We also ate breakfast every morning, and that was fine. The only negatives we had were that the furnishings were a little run down and could really stand to be refreshed. Also, I agree with some of the other reviews about the artwork - I'd take a lot of it town, there's just too much of it, it's too large, and it is mostly women who are staring at you. The decor is a mixture of island casual and something that looks very Italian and overly ornate. However, that quickly became a non-issue for us about 2 minutes after we were on the beach. I think it is a great value and you cannot beat the location for the price. We will definitely be returning soon.
