We stayed in a three person room (couch converted to bed) and it was incredibly comfortable. Our room was huge and it had a great massive bathroom. You are incredibly close to everything downtown. We stayed for 5 nights and traveled all across Berlin well within walking distance to Unter Den Linden. There is a large grocery store just around the corner of the hotel as well as a great place to have breakfast. The hotel also provides a buffet breakfast which is pretty good as well. Definitely a place to stay if you want value in the heart of Berlin.
Nice hotel situated close to Checkpoint Charlie and 10-15min walk from Brandenburg Gate. I stayed here on a weekend trip in Jan and it was everything that I needed. Good size room, clean and very comfortable. Close to supermarket and restaurants. It is a bit of a walk to the TV tower but doable in 20 minutes. I would recommend this to friends.
Clean, near the tube and in the center of Berlin. Rooms not so large but nice and comfortable. Shower inside the room with glass shower cubicle. Starbucks very close for breakfast, price reasonable. I would suggest it.
The location of the hotel is great, but I was disappointed with the room and bathroom. Very small with no place for suitcase, difficult to move around. The air conditioner in the room kept going off and it got very stuffy. I talked to the staff twice and they sent a technician who turned the AC back on. Then it went off again. Adequate hotel for the price but I will not stay at a Novum hotel again.
Great hotel, friendly staff and very close to the metro system - but a day ticket and travel all over Berlin We had a great stay and I can't thank the staff enough for making us feel welcome My German is terrible!
This hotel is perfect for a city break! The rooms are clean, have a mini fridge (nothing stocked - they advise you to go to the supermarket and stock up on cheap mini bar goods), safe, hairdryer etc. The location is amazing, right next to genermenmarkt which has some really trendy bars/restaurants/cafes/shops- you are really not far from anything! The sights are all within walking distance, or if you are not one for walking you are right next to stadtmitte u-bahn. The one downside I would have is the size of the room which is quite small, but when your only in the room to sleep after a long day of sightseeing and have paid around £50 a night you really can't complain! Would definitely stay again.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It is classed as Mitte and that's exactly where it is. So many of the top places to visit are within ten to fifteen minutes walking distance. It is close to two U Bahn stations which link with both S Bahn and other U Bahn trains. The first impression of the hotel was soured by the rude and unhelpful receptionist. It was late at night (23.00h ) when we arrived but she was rude, brusque and unhelpful. Everything we asked for ( e.g extra room card) was replied to with 'Ask in the morning'. The room itself was a Queen room. It was very small but the bed was comfortable. Not much room to move around at either side of the bed. The bathroom was quite spacious in comparison! The room was generally clean although there were a few marks on the duvet covers. Towels and soap dispensers provided. There was a safe, small fridge and air con and the TV was replaced during the four nights we stayed there. I had emailed ahead and asked if the rooms contained tea and coffee making facilities. I was told that coffee machines were provided and kettles could be obtained at reception. No coffee machine and when I asked for a kettle on the first night I got the same unhelpful reply from the rude receptionist " Ask in the morning!'. The day staff were much more pleasant and helpful and helped us to buy Berlin cards. The kettle was delivered to the room by the end of the second day on a tray but without cups. I had to go and ask for these. This is something that could so easily be rectified. One evening there was no hot water for a shower after a day's sightseeing and the response was they didn't know what the problem was. It was fixed by midnight. There was free Wifi but this had a tendency to drop out easily. We didn't have breakfast there or use the bar ( there's a Supermarket around the corner where it was possible to buy fruit, yoghurt and fresh pastries. Opens till midnight. I've stayed in a Novum Style hotel before which was much better but this deal ( booked through Agoda) cost £200 for two people for four nights. As the title says, it does what it says on the tin!
We were really worried cause we decided last minute this vacation and was hard to find something else different from hostels. We had a promotional price, the room was really clean and comfortable.the position is really in center, you can reach Postdamer Platz walking 10 min. You can leave your luggage in the hall at the reception at check out if you have still time to visit Berlin.
Fantastic location in a trendy part of town and in walking distance to many major sights as well as shopping, bars, restaurants and public transport. Hotel is clean and offers everything you would expect. Staff are friendly and helpful and desk is manned 24 hours.
This is a good alternative if you want to spend time in the centre of Berlin. Well designed, clean, nice big rooms where you can work, well educated staff, relaxed breakfast. A bed to die for.... Unbelievable cheap if you are lucky to visit Berlin "off season" (it is off course never off season in Berlin). What I mean is that you can be lucky if you book early and get a fantastic price. I like strong hotel competition in big cities... I even took an extra night here because the whole hotel is a well greased harmonic machinery that put me in a good mood. Four plus stars.
