This is a nice hotel for the price we paid. We were there during a heat wave and the air conditioning was insufficient to cool down our room. We left the curtains closed to keep out the sun, but the maid opened them. There is a pleasant, reasonable, unaffiliated restaurant next door.

Good location, close to Friedrichstrasse station (3 min. Walk) but with poor wifi service and the air conditioner was bad.

This hotel is located in the heart of Berlin's central district and we could easily walk to the Museum island on one side and the Bradenberg Gate and Reischstaag on the other. The rooms are spacious and clean and the hotel is full of original artworks creating an interesting and culturally rich ambiance. The bar in the lobby is wonderful and there are two restaurants. Our room had a minibar but no coffee machine or iron is provided. Except for these two minor inconveniences, I would give this hotel the topmost rating for anyone visiting Berlin as a tourist.

I had a 'comfort room' which only cost a little more per day but which gave me a room at higher floor and two free soft drinks per day. The location is great for sightseeing or visiting Humboldt University. There are a number of decently priced, nice restaurants nearby.

Highly efficient hotel. Big comfortable room. Very quiet. However, the lack of internet and breakfast in the price of the hotel makes this hotel pricey if one were to purchase breakfast separately. I got a better deal at the Euros Star hotel around the corner.

Maritim Mitte Berlin has a great location convenient to the best sites in the city. The rooms are nice and the staff helpful. However, despite being a modern hotel catering to international guests, there is no free wifi and the in-house internet (ethernet based) runs on a poorly functional and overpriced pay-for use system.

My wife and I only care about location, safety, and cleanliness when it comes to a hotel. This hotel had the perfect location, it was clean, and seemed very safe/safe location. The minor negatives for me mainly were there is no free internet anywhere that I could find in all of Berlin including the hotel. Also, be prepared to pay a lot of money for any type of local phone call. The city is seriously controlled by their communications companies and robbed by costs.

From this hotel were able to walk or take trains to all our destinations in Berlin. The front desk was friendly and helpful; the concierge was efficient. There was only one public computer in the lobby with poor lighting on a glossy keyboard. There were frequent waits to get to use it.

Can't beat the location...halfway between the Brandenburg Tor and the Altes Museum. In the heart of great shopping, near the river and great food. The staff was outstanding. The room was comfortable and cozy. The only thing that was challenging was that the restaurants that the hotel offered on the ground floor were a little pricey, but there were plenty of great options around. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Berlin.

The good: Very good location, only one mile from Branderburger Gate. Very close to shops and good restaurants. U-bahn and S-bahn stations are around the corner. From the airport you can take the bus (TXL)and it only takes 35 minutes to get to the Unter Den Linden bus stop. This bus stop is just one block from the hotel, and cost only $2.10 Euros per person compare to $35 Euros in taxi. The bad: a/c doesn't work well in the rooms. It seems like the hotel manage the temperature for the whole hotel, the only thing you can change is the airflow. The pillows are very old and you get the idea.

Dear guest, First of all we thank you very much for your feedback at expedia. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay and were satisfied with our location. We are very sorry that the room maid opened the curtains to let the sun in. We will instruct the maids to leave them closed when the sun is too intensive. We hope you had a save and pleasant trip back home and we look forward to welcoming you back at the Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin. With kind regards Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin Roberto Klimsch General Manager
