the staff were friendly and the service was good. I had a small room (two single beds, head to toe) that was fine for me but others might want a little larger room/. the hotel was within one block of U-Bahn 5 line that takes you to Alexanderplaz.. From Alex you can get to anywhere in Berlin.
Really friendly welcome, comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. What more do you need? Well how about a U-bahn station 2 mins away with a cheap and good Italian restaurant outside it and a shopping centre 10 mins walk away. The area is bohemian/grotty but don't be put off by the graffiti. We felt quite safe and the area is historically interesting.
The hotel is kept clean and the service workers are very capable but: the bed was very soft, the carpet was old and stained so that I really didn't want to walk barefoot and the wifi is so weak that it basically doesn't exist. The breakfast is pretty boring with scrambled eggs every morning. No bacon or sausage. Only 2 kinds of cheese. Over the years, I've seen the slow deterioration of this hotel. It definitely needs an overhaul.
Hostel comfort for the price of an upper category Hotel. Toilette seat in Bedroom toilet was out of order. Housekeeping staff entered bedroom without knocking. Efficient Staff at Breakfast and reception. Not friendly but efficient.
Basic hotel. It was within 5 Min walking distant of train station. Clean rooms. Complains: Communal areas smelt like sewage, no where to put luggage for two people and beds too soft. Positive: great shower. Good breakfast spread and complimentary tea/coffee in dining area.
This was a great location for us to explore Friedrichshain. It's about an hour to walk to Alex and the tube is near. The building conversion is really interesting. It certainly works as a place to sleep. Friendly staff and super helpful. Breakfast was included. The beds weren't up to the usual quality I have found elsewhere in the Accor group and the internet for me only worked in reception, those were the two lesser aspects. Perhaps not quite as "good value" as other hotels I have stayed in, in the Accor group.
Shared a room with my Wife & our 22 year old son. Single bed wasn't very comfortable as it was a sofa chair converted into a bed. Buffet breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Parking was expensive at €10 per day
This hotel is non-smoking in bedrooms and I think in public rooms too. It's friendly, clean and comfortable and is in an interesting part of the old east Berlin. There was enough choice at breakfast and our room was a good size. It's very quick on the nearby underground to get to Alexanderplatz , and we had a good time finding restaurants and interesting bars locally in the evening. Unfortunately people still smoke in the bars but we found a great little cafe bar nearby called Herman Schulz, where there was no smoking. The fascinating Stasi museum is only 2 stops away on the underground. I would definitely come back to this hotel, it was reasonably priced and good value.
The hotel had all the necessities. Big room, spacy and clean bathroom, good breakfast and wifi that works well. Location is just perfect. In the middle of Friedrichshain, it's a short walk away from Boxhagener Platz (farmers and flea market every weekend) where there's plenty of cafés, bars and all sorts of restaurants to choose from. There was also a possibility to store the luggage after the check out.
I stayed for two nights in this hotel and it was a disaster!! Wifi network was terrible! Impossible to connect and use it properly! The food was good (bufet breakfast) The worst thing was that I stayed on the ground level and the window of the room was literally on the block of the street so, it was impossible to sleep with the noise of the street!!
