ibis Styles Berlin City Ost

The room was good. Staff very helpful and kind. Breakfast was complete since there was a fair variety of products. In general, it was pretty good. Only thing I found very disappointing was that the wifi was not working for most of the time. Some days it didn't work at all.

At 85 euros/night which included a pretty good breakfast spread, the Ibis Styles Berlin City Ost was a good choice for those traveling on a budget. It is located on a quiet side street in an interesting area which I would compare to the Greenwich Village section of New York. It is just one block away from Frankfurter Allee and the U-5 Samariterstrasse Station. Five stops on this line (about 10 minutes) get to the Alexanderplatz station which is a central hub to all parts of this very interesting city including Museum Island, the Reichstag and numerous shopping and dining areas. The rooms are on the small side but are clean and well maintained. The bathrooms all have rather narrow shower stalls and we had plenty of hot water during our stay. There is no AC but, even though this was the last two weeks in July, we really did not need it. My only complaint would be that at times the wi-fi seemed to be a little overwhelmed on days when a lot of guests were present. The staff were always friendly and helpful and most could speak and understand English very well. Our son and his wife live about ten minutes walk from this hotel and we would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Germany.

I stayed in the Ibis Styles with my 3 children. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. 2 things I would change: Air-conditioning in the rooms. It was very hot and hard to sleep. We had a fan but it made little difference. 2. Safety bars/rails on windows. I was there with 3 small children, no air-conditioning in hot weather and on the 4th floor. The windows opened wide but it was too dangerous to do so as there was no children's safety considered. Other than that lovely hotel.

- Internet doesn't work and the hotel doesn't make any effort to solve the problem! - Bad decoration.... - Don't have ar conditioner.... - Bad room service.... - We hear too much noise from the street and from the hallway...

A very little room, no wifi inside. We go for a week of business and We were very disappointed. The room had carpeted floor that is difficult to clean well. the shower was very high and it is easy to slip when you leave.

The Hotel has a good location, very closed to U-bahn and some stores, restaurants. Not really cheap for this service, expensive private parking. Double room is very tiny small but good bathroom. Not really big various breakfast but anyway tasty. Pretty, friendly stuff. Absolutely terrible, horrible wi-fi,so if you really need internet dont chose it.For us it was really big problem and disappointment.

the staff were friendly and the service was good. I had a small room (two single beds, head to toe) that was fine for me but others might want a little larger room/. the hotel was within one block of U-Bahn 5 line that takes you to Alexanderplaz.. From Alex you can get to anywhere in Berlin.

Really friendly welcome, comfortable room and an excellent breakfast. What more do you need? Well how about a U-bahn station 2 mins away with a cheap and good Italian restaurant outside it and a shopping centre 10 mins walk away. The area is bohemian/grotty but don't be put off by the graffiti. We felt quite safe and the area is historically interesting.

The hotel is kept clean and the service workers are very capable but: the bed was very soft, the carpet was old and stained so that I really didn't want to walk barefoot and the wifi is so weak that it basically doesn't exist. The breakfast is pretty boring with scrambled eggs every morning. No bacon or sausage. Only 2 kinds of cheese. Over the years, I've seen the slow deterioration of this hotel. It definitely needs an overhaul.

Hostel comfort for the price of an upper category Hotel. Toilette seat in Bedroom toilet was out of order. Housekeeping staff entered bedroom without knocking. Efficient Staff at Breakfast and reception. Not friendly but efficient.
