On arrival there was plenty of parking, we made our way to reception for check in which we obviuosly timed badly as there were two seperate groups of Hen parties trying to check in too so this ended up being a slow process, we had an executive room which was nice but slightly dated to say the least, room facilties were average the sink in the bathroom leaked badly when drained, bed comfortable, TV only basic channels, wifi good, however the room and the hotel for that fact was absolutely freezing cold, for somebody who doesn't worry about the cold generally to say that i think this speaks volumes, we did make comments to the receptionist on departure, the food in the evening and at breakfast was average, prices for evenings meals and drinks were rather expensive too, some of the staff were very friendly others not so, the decor throughout the hotel was very dated and threadbare in places. Overall for the price we paid we didnt think it was good value for money.

Poor hotel, room so cold, entire hotel needs a refurbishment and checking in so slow, one person just poor all round. There are better hotels around stay clear, I didn't eat here but did have a drink in the bar downstairs that was ok. Hairdryer in the room was disgusting grime and greasy

I went to the hotel for a baby shower for afternoon tea which was ok, but have to say the hotel has nothing to offer it has no atmosphere it's dated chairs need attention repairing the lovely fish tanks were dirty and no longer attractive, lobby area uninviting not a place to recommend

Coppid Beech was conveniently near the HPE office so that was the main reason that we selected the hotel. A typical English hotel but with mostly foreign personnel. I was expecting Basil Fawlty and Manuel to come around the corner any time. If you look at the interior it really has had its best time somewhere in the nineties. The wooden doors are scratched, the locks are old and the purple carpets have seen better times. I enjoyed breakfast and the hamburger in the bar. There was not much atmosphere in the bar and the staff were dull and almost unfriendly. On Friday night there was a party in the Keller with a good live band. There's also a nightclub which was quite busy but a bit noisy once back in your room. I didn't try the pool or Swedish massage which were available in the basement. In guess by now that I can't recommend this hotel.

Very tatty furnishings and overall grubby place, room service food very poor quality and breakfast on the same par. Breakfast room scruffy, dirty chairs and tablecloths ... Staff seemed fed up and not moral generally poor This Hotel is in desperate need of a full quality refurbishment, would never stay here again ..

Stayed here for 2 nights on business. Room ok but very dated. Mattress lumpy. Had a shower and water in bath started backing up not a great start. The nightclub in hotel definitely attracts a particular type of person. All night all I could here was drunken people running up hallway and slamming doors. I had paid for breakfast both days but as hotel was fully booked mostly with hungover guests I decided not to eat in hotel. Second night I was woken up few times by drunks then at 1am they started banging on the door, I decided to ignore. The slamming of hotel room doors is very loud too. I didn't call reception as didn't fancy changing rooms middle of the night. Hotel ok if your part of the nightclub etc but wouldn't recommend if you want a nights sleep. On check out lady at reception didn't ask how stay was so didn't mention it.

Staying down with work, but the hotel made it all much more enjoyable. Was there for 4 nights, but would happily stay for longer or go back again in the future. All the staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was good, both in the morning and the evening. Rooms nice. Gym pretty good, though some of the equipment was showing some wear. Would definitely recommend. You do need a car,as there isn't much nearby, but easy to get anywhere.

Although we have stayed so many times before I feel the hotel is not as good. We arrived 1 hour early and asked to check but was told although the room was ready we had to wait for the party bookings to arrive and check in first. Not sure why as we had booked 3 wee5js earlier, was this so the were all checked in and happy before we were given our room? I have asked the hotel this question but still no response to my email. We called to advise the toilet wasnt working at 3pm. No one ever came up to the room, we want downstairs several times to use the toilets. We never went down to the club's as planned for the surprise birthday as we were not able to shower incase maintenance arrived. Instead we ordered room service and enjoyed the evening in the room. Again something never explained as no response to email. This is such a shame as we love the location and hotel and our many stays but the stay was not as should have been. Sorry Coppid Beech, but I have tried to find the answers from the hotel itself.

Although it puts on good various nights, they over sell tickets and the venue is too small. The accommodation is 15 years out dates including the fact I had no hot water and there was nothing they could do till the afternoon. OK if I was staying there an extra night but this was in the morning when I had to leave. Hotel wasn't really bothered and it came across as it was a frequent thing. I didn't arrive till very late and they knew that so may be they knew I was rushing down stairs and wouldn't say anything about the Luke warm shower I had to have. The bar down stairs had far to many people for the size so people where bashing into each other causing lots of glasses to smash on the floor. By 10.30 pm you could feel the crunching under your feet. It was my best friends 30th and although she had a great time (we got her very tidily) for those of us that work away in hotels a lot, we are staggered how this could be 4*. It's out dated, the bathrooms are falling to bits and generally run down
