Highly recommended for a hotel handy to the airport. Terrific spread for breakfast. Rooms very nice. Would stay again.
It was under construction and they didn’t have an elevator!
Clean, quiet hotel minutes from the airport. Best breakfast buffet I’ve had in two weeks of travel. Reasonable room rates.
Clean hotel near airport. Excellent breakfast. Only issue is lack of airport shuttle. $50 cab ride or 3 block walk to tram. Airport hotels should offer a shuttle. Otherwise, very nice.
I should have known something was off by the price. The hotel is undergoing a renovation, which means that the entrance is a mess and there are piles of construction materials left in the common areas, and the ceiling was missing in patches. A reduced breakfast buffet was served on folding tables in a conference room. The staff was curt and clearly impatient with the disappointed guests. The rooms that HAVE been completed are done in cheap, poorly-functioning materials, with an orange and black color scheme that is more abrasive than chic. There is nowhere to eat in the area, but the limited restaurant. Despite being advertised as an "airport" hotel, there are not shuttles, which means you must walk to the bus-stop and take the SAS airport shuttles for 50 kronen (which is more than half of what it would cost to travel fully into the city, where there are a wide range of nice hotels and restaurants.) This is certainly far below the standards of the Thon Hotel I had stayed in previously.
Very nice building, great staff, 5 minutes from the airport but that's all there is in the area except a couple of small markets very close. The rooms were top notch and the hotel restaurants food was very good but cost 1000 NOK ($170 USD) for 2 people to have salad, main course and 2 drinks each. This is a great place to stay if you have an early flight, The cost was 40% less than the Thon Hotel in town so we stayed there our last night to cut our cost and cut out the majority of the morning drive to the airport. Plan on picking up food at the market across the street to the right to save money. No other food around.
Staff was very attenative and property was well taken care of.
