The Admiral was centrally located although the area around the hotel is not pretty. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful . There are plenty of eating options close to the hotel and some lovely blocks up the hill from the hotel.
Close to Bryggen a scheduled stop for the Hurtigruten bus, but you need a reservation for that
We loved the view from our room onto the harbor. We did not love the sideways sink in the bathroom that splashed all over the floor when used. We did not love the gigantic pillows (two of the four pillows) on the bed as they were way too big for the bed and esp. for the bed when two grownups were in it. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was very nice.
