Staff very nice clean and large room… there is nothing for miles around, very remote

This hotel is conveniently located for an event I was attending. I have stayed there many times before but it has gone way downhill. The room was mostly clean but the carpet in the hall was disgusting. The sheet on one of the beds had bloodstains so I switched beds. At 130 am I got up to use the bathroom. There was water coming out of the ceiling fan in the bathroom. I called the desk. They offered no solution. I had to go to the first floor to use the one public restroom which had a line of people that left the hotel after using the facilities. Because of the event in town, the hotel was full. There was nowhere for me and my husband to take a shower. We paid triple the normal price for a room with an unusable toilet and shower. The hotel said they would refund a small portion of our large fee, but the money is not back on my credit card. Calling the hotel has gotten me nowhere, nor has calling the corporation that owns the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Our bed had a brown grainy substance on the fitted sheet that felt like sand. When we woke in the morning, I discovered an engorged bed bug in my husband’s pillow case. We found about 6 live bed bugs in our room. I trapped the bugs and showed this to the owner and was told to look for a refund within 24 hours. Over one week later and no refund.

It was a very smooth check in process. It seems like it’s family owned, it was the same people working the morning that was working at night and they did a wonderful job. The only thing I would say which wasn’t a big deal to us was the sweeping and vacuuming of the floors could have been a little better prior to us checking in however a few crumbs on the floor for a staff that seems to be working all day and night didn’t bother us at all.

We had an issue with check in. They had entered my name wrong into their system and argued with me that I didn’t have a reservation for 30 minutes. Had to get orbitz on the phone to explain to them. Had to exchange blanket as it had blood or some other stain on it. Friends car got hit outside in the parking lot and they told her they’d send security footage but never did. The hotel itself is a 3/5* breakfast is mediocre, area doesn’t have much around it besides the lake.

Hallway carpets a bit in need of cleaning but the room was very clean and quite comfortable!

Needed a quick place for one night while driving across country. This filled the bill - and had a modest cost.

Fine for what it is. The property is dated, but the staff worked to keep it clean. Perhaps COVID protocols or other reasons made the breakfast super limited and unsatisfying.

No breakfast I'm assuming because of Covid. Pool is empty and under repair. Elevator out if order. But... room was very clean, bed was comfy and staff was accommodating!
