Red Lion Hotel Bend

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Hotel is right next to Black Bear Diner. Laundry facilities are great and only for guests. Staff was helpful and professional.

We love this hotel.. very comfy and clean. We have stayed at a few places in Bend. This is by far our favorite

Booked multiple rooms for my employees. Needed to move a date on one of the reservations by a day. They refused. Were kind of matter-a-fact about it/ annoyed when I made the request Even though I could see online they had available rooms.. I would have been satisfied with a change fee or anything they could do. Instead they just said no with no real customer service or tact. I booked my team across town for dates later that week and made a note not to book in the future. Can't stand poor customer service.

It was very hard to manage the thermostat. We all woke up in the middle of the night to turn the heat down multiple times. Had to open the door to let in a blast of cold air. Also, local is a bit shady which wasn't apparent from the images or discription

The stay was great until we were awaken by maintenance work being done at 3am in the morning. When hotel staff was notified, no apology was given but a least we were told that a neighboring business was to blame. That disturbance reminded me of the movie My Cousin Vinny. The work outside our room was start and stop for the next 2 hours. Very frustrating and we felt it was a waste of money since we could not get any rest and it perhaps would have been better just to sleep in our car.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample. We would stay there again.

The staff especially Jaeden went out of his way to be friendly and helpful. Rooms were really nice and the staff kept them clean. Would definitely stay there again.

It's just a motel to me and they give me the motel service but I paid for 3 or 4 stars money so won't come back again.

Just installed new tv system channels didn't run thru entires system. Had to demand new room to get all channels. Nice full breakfast.

We stayed during 4th of July weekend. Funny, the person who worked on their display misspelled independence "indepenence" day. But overall was clean and quiet.

My stay at the Red Lion Hotel was pleasantly surprising. I booked hotels in an unknown area based on their price and a couple of features. What I experienced at the Red Lion Inn was a truly happy and fun experience. The front desk staff was personable, but more than that, they were having fun with the guests. This made me comfortable and welcomed. I had a small issue with my room door, and went to report it. Within five minutes, the maintenance staff was there to fix the issue. I felt that if there was anything I needed, large or small, it would get personal attention from this team. This is my new go to hotel for business travel out west.

I stayed here a few times for work the past month. Overall I would recommend. I found it great that there's a free pass to all Red Lion guests for the nearby 24 hour gym which is across the street and under a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms I stayed in were largely remodeled. One week I stayed in a room that had a door to another room. Next time I stay there I'm going to request I stay in a room that does not have an adjoining door...I could hear EVERYTHING sound wise in the other room: tv, alarm, talk, phone calls, skyping, you name it. I hope they find a way to reduce the sound. Overall clean but I found the floors to be dirty. I noticed the floors were so dirty it only took a wet towel to pickup a lot of dirt...can they clean the floors every 1-2 weeks? Other than these two complaints everything else was good. Solid continental breakfast. Great Wi-Fi. Comfortable rooms. Overall good value.

Staff was friendly and knowledgable . A quick trip to the "high desert" was made easier because of the motels location. Would highly recommend this to anyone who was headed to Bend or the surrounding area.

Red Lion is close to downtown and restaurants. Pleasant staff and good breakfasts. Room was clean and comfortable, but bed was somewhat hard

The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance of downtown, which was important to me, since the streets were icy during my stay and I felt more secure walking than driving. The breakfast was okay. The person at the front desk helped me determine the best way to drive back to Portland, to avoid icy mountain passes as much as possible. Overall, this was a nice overnight stay at a decent price.

Easy check in and great location for what we needed. We left the room at 10:30, returning at 5:30 to find the room unserviceable. Called front desk and was told all housekeeping staff was gone for the day. We made our own beds and took the trash out, not fun, but they did deliver fresh towels. The irony in the situation is that when we left at 10:30 there were 3 housekeeping carts on our floor and I said good morning to all of the housekeepers. Will probably stay again because of the great location for our purposes.

Nice quiet place to stay while there for job interview.

In general, I was satisfied with the hotel. Minuses: - the refrigerator was too noisy and I had to turn it off; - the bed was comfortable but too soft'; - the water in the swimming pool was cold; - very crowded in the morning in the breakfast room; no table available; we had to leave and have breakfast in a restaurant.

The rooms are dated and the hotel is old, but we had a very pleasant experience. Everything was clean. The pool was great for the kids and the breakfast was very good. Nice, hardworking staff - front desk, breakfast and pool people.

Quiet and clean room. Breakfast was better than most. We will definitely stay again.
